Hawkstar stepped, almost hesitantly, into the main cavern. It had been a long time since she'd visited the caves. There was a reason for that. She still hated being underground...but this time it was a necessity. That didn't make her feel any more comfortable, but she knew all too well she had to hide her anxiety. After all, she couldn't be the only cat who was uncomfortable underground, and she had to set a good example.
Hawkstar headed for the opposite end of the cavern, where the floor was noticeably raised. That would have to do for a Great Rock, she decided. It had probably served just that purpose in the past. The past...this place had a feel of history. Not as strong of that at Mothermouth, but present nontheless. Hawkstar could not help but imagine other cats, generations ago, padding in soaked through the same entrance. Their voices, echoing off the walls of the cave that soon would ring with the voices of cats she knew. Yes...their ancestors were close here. I wonder if they're watching now?
Hawkstar stopped near the crest of the raised ground and turned to face the larger part of the cave. It's like a Gathering, she thought. It's not Fourtrees, but this will have to do.

Glacierfrost stepped into the cave.
He had been looking for some peace and quiet, and the rainy outdoors didn't suit him. The caves that had been assigned each clan where filled with cats and his nagging sister. "Make sure you wash behind your ears!" Freewind's voice called out in his mind like a mother over her kits.
The large tom shook his head to clear it from the voice. He looked around. Standing on a part of the raised ground, stood Hawkstar. He looked at the leader in surprise. He didn't scent any cat when he came in... Your nose is getting screwed up, Glacierfrost thought, annoyed with himself. Then, remembering his manners, he dipped his head.
"Hello, Hawkstar." He mewed.

Stompaw skittered nervously from side to side as she entered the cavern. The mouth of the tunnel looked like jaws, lined with stalactite teeth. I wonder if this is what a mouse feels like when you eat it... Stop that! she told herself firmly. Don't be such a mouse. You're not a kit now, you're a warrior apprentice. Act like it! With a tremendous effort, she made her fur lie flat and continued onwards.
Frostflash hurried into the cavern, eager to explore the Clans' new home. Her eyes widened slightly as she looked around. I've never been underground before. This is amazing! Her paw banged against a rock and she jumped, fur bristling. The deputy licked her paw with embarasment as she realized that it was just a pebble. The cavern had a mysterious aura, like it knew many things. Frostflash's silver eyes were sparkling as she stared around the cavern. I could almost imagine cats living here once, long ago...
Shadowpaw spat as his paw scraped across the rock floor, another reminder of how strange this place was. He missed the soft forest floor, with its familiar textures and smells. This place was strange, and he had made up his mind to hate it. The medicine cat apprentice kept one eye on the wounded cats. Warriors! All brawn and no brains. They'll probably open their wounds by trying to catch bats.

Crystalpool looked for Shadowpaw and instead found herself in front of the EmberClan deputy, Frostflash. "Oh... hi?" her voice was tinged with uncertainy. I hope she didn't see what happened with Dewpaw... The medicine cat looked down.

Seamist padded towards Glacierfrost and sat down next to him, wrapping her paws neatly under her tail as she always did. "Some storm, eh?" she commented dryly, and set about drying her sodden pelt. She decided not to shake it, as that would splatter Glacerfrost and most likely Hawkstar. Instead, she left it as it was and attempted to groom her wet fur. After all, she had a fairly short coat; it would dry off quickly. As she did so, she dipped her head to Hawkstar. The ForestClan leader looked...not anxious, but vaguely preoccupied to her sharp eyes. Then again, this had to be the worst storm in quite some time; who wouldn't be worried? Seamist was not one to worry; she left that to her daughter, Hazeltear. However, she reflected upon the damage it could cause to all the Clans' territories, and especially ShoreClan's, which was closest to the river. No doubt the Western Riverbank would suddenly become the Western Lake, and the sandy training area would either be washed away of be bogged down by mud.

Frostflash dipped her head cordially to Crystalpool. "Hi." She paused, wondering why the medicine cat looked so nervous. Was it because she was underground? "Are you okay?" she asked hesitantly, unwilling to pry.
Shadowpaw looked around for his mentor. His amber eyes widened slightly as he saw her talking to the EmberClan deputy. That's odd. After the fight over that mouse-brained apprentice, I would have thought she wouldn't be keen to talk to EmberClan cats... He growled as he saw Crystalpool look down. That scrap of flea-bait better not be being mean to her... He marched over, fur bristling slightly. "What do you want?" he spat at Frostflash, not caring if she thought he was rude.
Frostflash blinked in surprise, staring at Shadowpaw. "Um... I was just talking to Crystalpool..." She growled quietly as the apprentice glared at her. What was his problem?! "Your being rather rude, you know." she said, glaring at him.
Shadowpaw met her glare, but found himself looking away almost immediately. Still bristling with aggression, he muttered something that may have been an apology and sat beside his mentor. Whatever. An argument would have only wasted time.

ooc//Are Seamist and Glacierforst already mates? Or are they going to work something out? And di Pebblestone already die? Or didn't?
Glacierfrost didn't expect a reply from Hawkstar, she was staring at nothing in particular with glazed eyes. He heard other cats come into the cave, but he ignored them. From his nose, he could tell they were Stromclan, Emberclan, and ... Shoreclan. He turned around.
Seamist was coming up to him, dipping her head to Hawkstar first.
"some storm, eh?"
Glacierfrost nodded. Subconsciously, he began to groom Seamist. He groomed her for a while before noticiing what he was doing, and quickly turned away. He was blushing from ear to tail tip with embarrassment and disbelief.
What am I thinking? He scolded himself. He turned back to Seamist. "I-I'm sorry," he muttered. Normally, he was jolly cat, not given to embarrassment. This was not like him.

Eagle Skybird padded into the cave, soaked to the bone. His thick pelt kept him from feeling as chilled as the shorter-furred cats would, but the big Maine coon knew he would take a while to dry off. Shaking out his pelt, he sat to the side, out of the way, grooming his long dark tabby pelt. Watching Hawkstar pad into the cave and jump onto a big stone ledge, his yellow eyes lowered to his paws. I know I'm not supposed to be here, but I want to stay, at least until the storm is over.
He knew that was not it. Eagle was well aware that it was something more, a yearning to join this life, to be like a Clan cat. You know that you belong with your Twolegs, he thought, but that didn't quell the sense of pride when he thought of his children who were apprentices of StormClan, or that now-familiar feeling that he belonged here, and not back in the Twoleg nest.
((Hope you don't mind that Eagle's staying...?))

OOC: I think Pebblestone's not dead yet, and that they haven't realized their feelings for each other yet. ^^ Seamist glanced at Glacierfrost, surprise emanating from every hair on her pelt. "It's okay," she mewed. It was all right for Clanmates to share tongues, but Glacierfrost seemed to have put more meaning behind it than there was. Anxious for the awkward moment to pass, she cuffed him lightly over the ear.
"I can take care of myself, thank you very much," she mewed coyly. She glanced at him yet again, after stealing a look at the stormy skies outside. He still looked slightly embarrassed to her, but she had no idea what to do. She had actually never seen Glacierfrost like this; usually, he was as bouncy as Pinestorm, and the complete opposite of his sister.

ooc - I think that after the flood plot is over, Pebblestone will be officially dead...that sounded funnii...
Just then, Pebblestone came up to his mate and nuzzled her ear, giving Glacierfrost a cold glare. Who did he think he was? Then a thought suddenly popped into the gray tom's head...Could it be possible...? Were Seamist and GLacierfrost...? He looked at his mate with questioning green eyes and a flicker of hurt was there too.
Ripplestream followed her brother into the caves, she dipped her head politely to Hawkstar and set down her herb packets in a small hole in the cave wall. She flopped down on her belly in exhaustion and laid her head on her forepaws. Looking aorund, she hoped that no cat would suddenly come to her and complain of wounds. If the wound was serious, sure, but otherwise, she wanted to rest for a while...at least.

ooc///bwahaha, love triangle!
Glacierfrost gave a sigh of relief as Seamist told him it was fine. A bit of his usual jollyness came back, and he grinned. He was still grinning when Seamist cuffed his head, and he mewed like a sad kit.
"Aww, lighten up a bit! That hurt!" He mock cowered at Seamist's paws, and rose up to find Pebbleston by her side. He was staring daggers at the large tom, and Glacierfrost's jollyness crawled away. "Uh..." He muttered, "I gotta go..." And he turned around and went to a ledge, far away from the other cats.
What am I thinking? He gazed at Seamist, but immedietly snapped his head to look at the stony wall. She has a mate, and kits too! And anyway, I'm too weird looking to be anyone elses mate. He frowned miserably and looked over his shoulder. He could see a silverish striped at his shoulder, which he knew ran diagonally down his back. He kneaded the ground with his black paws, and sighed. He curled up and fell promptly asleep.
Freewind had come into the cave, scenting her brother, but when she came in, she saw (to her horror) him grooming Seamist. She quickly found a place to hide where she watched. She knew she shouldn't be spying, but... Freewind shook her head, and continued to peep. Glacierfrost had turned away; Seamist is mewing to him; They start having a bit of a mock fight; Pebblestone!
Freewind grimmaced. This can't be good. Suddenly, GLacierfrost sprang away, and Freewind hurried to catch up to him. When she arrived to the ledge, he was already asleep. The big loaf, She thought tenderly. She leapt up to join him, and also fell asleep.

Seamist nuzzled Pebblestone back gently. "No need to be jealous," she mewed dryly, and decided to cuff him on the ear as well. "Y'know, for a warrior, you can be so immature..." As she said this, something inside her squirmed, like how she always felt when she told a lie. Years of training kept her from slapping herself in the face, and it took a huge effort to keep her demeanor calm. She knew she loved Pebblestone, but...what about Glacierfrost? She had been Pebblestone's mate for countless seasons, and she had been faithful to him for each and evry single one. Even when other cats tried to become their lovers, nothing had shaken her love for him. Until now...and it was worse, because, like Nightfrost, Glacierfrost was her own Clanmate. She shook the unfaithful thoughts away, and butted her mate in mock irritation. "Honestly, I can't even talk to another tom without you glaring at him!" she meowed, whiskers twitching in amusement.

Scarletstar padded into the central cavern, her fur dripping with rainwater. Giving herself a shake, she ran her tongue over her fur a few times before padding farther into the cave. As she passed Eagle, she nodded curtly to show that he was welcome. Then she trotted up the stand beside Hawkstar. "Hello." She purred, dipping her head. "A bit different living underground, isn't it?"
Wildstorm dashed in out of the rain, wrinkling her nose in disgust. She hated water, even if it was rain. Licking herself clean she went over to sit by a stalagmite, her ears pricked forward as she watched all of the other cats.
Blitfire limped in out of the rain, shaking out his fur. He winced in pain as his chest wound seared, but he walked farther into the cave until he was well away from the wetness. Sitting down, he thought dejectedly I wish we never had to move here. It feels so unwelcome...
Yinpaw and Yangpaw both bounded in out of the rain. They were soaked form ears to tail tip, as they had been playing out in the rain. Unlike most other cars, they actually enjoyed playing in the rain. They both shook out their fur and began to groom eachother clean.

Twilightsong stifled a yawn and lead the rest of the ShoreClan cats to where Hawkstar and the others had decided to hold the monthly gathering. The last one seemed like an eon ago, but he knew it hadn't been that long. His thick fur would need nearly another hour to be fully dry, but at least he wasn't dripping wet anymore.
Having had his injuries seen to by Ripplestream already, he nodded to Hawkstar as he took a seat next to her. Midnightstar was still tired from all the fighting and he'd insisted she take it easy. He doubted she'd listen to him, but he was determined to at least give her as few chances to not listen as possible, including representing ShoreClan for this gathering. Once comfortable next to Hawkstar he nodded a greeting to Scarletstar and flicked his tail and draped it around his paws. At least he was somewhat warm...
Blossompaw had been practically bouncing around after the fight. She'd only had minor scratches thankfully so after being forced to sit still while Ripplestream checked her over, Blossompaw had shot out of Ripplestream's cave with much joy upon being told she was good to go. Her joy was only dampened by seeing Eagle hanging around. Scowling at him, she made it clear to the tom she was SO watching him before scurrying over to where Stormpaw was. She meowed a greeting to Stormpaw while looking around for Windpaw and Oakpaw.
Oakpaw was glad his dad was staying and secretly was hoping Scarletstar offered to let him join StormClan. He knew the odds of that weren't very high, but a young tom could dream and oh he was. It wasn't that he had anything against Cloudmist's mate, he just missed his birth dad and was eager to spend time with him.
As he crossed over to where everyone was gathering he looked around for his sister, but didn't see her. Unsure where she was, he shrugged and hoped she'd join him. Seeing Blossompaw near Stormpaw, he headed over there and meowed greetings to both of them. Since he was still young, his fur wasn't as thick and was nearly dry. He hated the damp feeling of his fur, but knew it meant he was drying. Eager to see what the leaders had to say, he was a little fidgety and kept looking around trying to see who was there and who wasn't.
Cinnamonstreak eased into the large cavern with grace and confidence. His pelt, being thinner and not as thick as some of the others in his Clan, was nearly dry when he arrived for the meeting. Grateful again that he didn't have a dense undercoat, he noticed that no single Clan had all their cats there just yet.
His eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he watched one of the EmberClan warriors attempt a conversation with Crystalpool and now her apprentice was showing to be as bad a choice for a Medicine Cat as her mentor. "Figures. Takes a bad apple to mentor another one." he muttered to himself with a shake of his head. He actually felt a bit sorry for StormClan with Crystalpool as their Medicine Cat.
Cinamonstreak noticed Stormpaw hanging out with a bunch of other Apprentices, notably Oakpaw of ShoreClan. Suddenly feeling too tired to really care about the quarrel between the two Clans, he sighed and turned his attention elsewhere as Twilightsong entered and joined Hawkstar and Scarletstar up front. After having gone through a huge fight with a bunch of rogues in the middle of a severe storm, suddenly StormClan didn't seem all that big a deal. Especially since they were all trapped together and were going to have to share food now. Joy, but Heathersky's words still rang in his ears, there were more important things to worry about than fighting over a bite of food. Such as Blazestar's absence...
Cinnamonstreak flicked his tail in irritation as it bothered him greatly that EmberClan was still being poorly represented by them not having a leader present. At least none of the other Clans were rubbing it in that Blazestar wasn't there, but it was still aggravating Cinnamonstreak nonetheless as he took tremendous pride in his Clan. Sighing as he couldn't do anything about it, he took a seat towards the front and busied himself with grooming his tail while he waited for the meeting to start.

Pebblestone shook his head. "No, it's not that..." his eyes were not amused. "But haven't you noticed Glacierfrost...ya know, how he acts around you and everything?" He flicked his tail from side to side, then lightened up a bit, "I don't care who you talk to, just don't drag me into an arguement just 'cause you can't win!" The gray tom smiled and glanced over to Ripplestream, who was obviously enjoying a peaceful nap.
