Windpaw grinned widely at all the apprentices, glad that her joke had sunk in. She was never usually serious, so it didn't occur to her exactly how deep her words were. The mischievous ShoreClan apprentice nodded at Oakpaw in greeting, and to Stormpaw in agreement. Listening to Stormpaw, she laughed. "I dunno. I hope so."
Laughing cheerily in agreement with Blossompaw, she mewed a greeting to her mentor. Twitching her tail, she nodded. "We were the first ones to the attack." She had a mental wince when she remembered that she had been knocked out soon after the battle started, because a rogue had thrown her into a rock, but she reassured herself that it was a mangy fleabrain rogue's trick and that the rogue was just too scared to fight her, a fearsome ShoreClan apprentice.
Eagle sat with his tail curled around him, patient as ever. He felt the pairs of eyes of several cats boring into his back, and his spine prickled, but when he turned he saw that Oakpaw was looking at him with hopeful eyes. Reassured, the low-key Maine coon turned to see Twilightsong watching him, and gave the ShoreClan deputy a friendly smile.
Looking around, she saw that the leaders were talking. Twilightsong, the ShoreClan deputy, was seated below the Highrock-like structure. She was about to go and join him when she heard Cinnamonstreak clear his throat behind her. Freezing, Songheart was thinking that he was going to begin a fight. Turning slowly, she fixed her leaf-green eyes on the EmberClan tom, and listened as he spoke.
Twitching her tail to dispel the last of the water off of her pelt, she nodded slowly, considering what he was saying to her. If ever there were a time for the Clans to get along, it would be then, while they were living in close quarters. The maelstrom going on outside was a good reason for the Clans to band together and learn to see eye-to-eye. Her tone was agreeing, and slightly apologetic and regretful, when she replied. "I may be deputy, but I know I act like an apprentice sometimes. We all do."
Nodding again, Songheart continued. "But I think you're right. It is time for us to stop acting immature and grow up. If there were ever a time to get along, it would be now. Look at them." She flicked her tail at the apprentices, sitting in a circle and laughing together, completely ignoring Clan boundaries.
"If they can harmonize, if they can ignore the fact that we're all different and we all do have our differences, then why can't we? What is between us -- a rabbit. One piece of fresh-kill should not create such a problem. Mind you, not to say there still aren't Clan borders," Songheart said defensively, "even with all the Clans living in close quarters. But I think our quarrel is over."
The ginger she-cat was extroardinarily relieved that the major argument between herself and the EmberClan warrior was over, at least as far as she was concerned. Waiting for his reply, she knew he would be surprised, but she smirked inwardly. She had already been regretful, and now that things were straightened out (at least they seemed to be) she could focus her energies towards her Clan.
((The birth of the more leaderlike Songheart. =3))

Featherpaw scrambled over to where her father was sitting and sat next to him, she smiled, hoping her father would be excepted.
Mousepaw walked over to where he could smell some apprentices, "Well... After our own troubles, the Rogues obviously made it clear that they didin't like us being here..." Mousepaw turned his head to the ground, knowing that the milky, sightless eyes would scare the other apprentices off...

Stormpaw blinked at Mousepaw, wondering why he was looking down at the ground like that. "Hey, Mousepaw! How are you? We were just talking about the battle-" She stopped short, remembering that Mousepaw was a medicine cat apprentice. He wouldn't have been fighting in the battle. The grey apprentice licked her paw carefully, trying to hide her embarasment.
Frostflash noticed Cinnamonstreak and Songheart talking a short ways away, and sighed. Great StarClan! If they start fighting again... To her surprise, neither cat seemed angry. Okay, that's really weird, she thought. They were perfectly happy trying to rip each other's fur off before.
Shadowpaw scuffed one paw against the hard stone floor, sighing. This is SOOOOOO boring! The dark tabby looked around, seeing what the other apprentices were doing. A large group of them seemed to be talking and laughing, and his eyes widened slightly as he watched them. Interesting... They're getting along better than most of the warriors. He edged closer, trying not to draw attention to himself.

Scarletstar looked down and dipped her head to Eagle and Featherpaw. "Greetings." She said. "Is there something you wanted to ask me, Eagle?" She asked the large tom.
Yinpaw and Yangpaw dipped their heads in greeting to the other cats. When Mousepaw came up, Yangpaw felt a twinge of suprise at the apprentice's milky eyes, but he quickly regained himself. Yinpaw, noticing Stormpaw's embarassment, quickly said in response to Mousepaw "Yes. Well, you can understand them though... this is their home after all"

"I don't think so, one of these rogues smelt of the Mesa, but none of the others, they could be fleeing the storm as well..." He sensed a fear scent from a cat that smelt faintly of herbs, "Ah... I see you've noticed my eyes, they were taken from me by a dog, but Ripplestream has done her best to stop infection..." he could smell Shadowpaw lingering nearby, "Shadowpaw, come over here, it's fine" He motioned with his tail for Crystal pools apprentice to come over...

Stormpaw's eyes widened as she heard Mousepaw's explanation. "Wow... I'm really sorry..." she shuffled her paws awkwardly. The grey apprentice looked up again as Mousepaw called to Shadowpaw. Hmm... I've never talked to Shadowpaw before. she grinned at the StormClan cat and meowed a hello.
Shadowpaw sighed. There's no way out of it now, I guess... He padded over to stand beside Mousepaw, ignoring Stormpaw's hello. The dark tabby dipped his head in a general greeting, and then proceeded to ignore everyone.

OOC: So this is my plotline. (it's very...weird.) Dawndew will get mad at Firebolt for blowing her off (lets pretend they already did) So she'll pace outside of the cave and then she'll... um... trip... and fall over the edge. So Strawberrypaw stays! *cheer* But temporarily I'll have to RP 5 cats. Only for about 6 posts though. ^^
IC: Crystalpool tried to keep her temperament under control. Did EmberClan cats think that they had more warriors gave them any right to act like total mouse brained cats? Counting to ten and taking a deep breath, she looked for Songheart. When she found her Clan's deputy she nearly fainted. She was talking to Cinnamonstreak!!!! At least they seemed calm enough. The medicine cat groaned as she remembered that she hadn't done anything to help any cat, other than hurting Dewpaw. With a irritated comment to herself, she spotted her apprentice, Shadowpaw, and tried to get him over to her by waving her tail. "Shadowpaw! she mewed. Yawning, she had no clue why, Crystalpool tried to sit up straighter and stop slumping like a sick thing.
Strawberrypaw of ShoreClan drearily slumped over to the side, giving short gasps. She felt freezing and wet from the rain outside. Blinking, she looked for Ripplestream to help treat her. Strawberrypaw was feeling guilty for doing practically nothing at the rogue/loner/kittypet attack. With a groan, she tried to groom herself, finding no Ripplestream anywhere. But hey, Crystalpool of StormClan could help her! Hauling herself to her paws again, she padded sulkily over. "Hey, Crystalpool! Can you help me here?" she asked. Crystalpool's eyes narrowed and Strawberrypaw flinched. "Okay." muttered Crystalpool, and Strawberrypaw was relived. "Thanks." she breathed. "I'm totally freezing."
Dewpaw of EmberClan was licking her injured paw, only half awake and literally dying of pain. She sighed and thought how she got into this crazy mess. Oh. She tripped and then went flying almost on top of Songheart, and made Crystalpool shameful. And she probably shamed EmberClan and gave StormClan a reason to gloat. How would she get punished? Would Cinnamonstreak and Blazestar decide to kick her out of the Clan? Clearing her head, she curled her tail over her paws and tried to get to sleep... suddenly she nearly went into a coma. Cinnamonstreak was talking to Songheart! She tried to yell at him Are you crazy? A moment later, though, sleep crashed over her like a dark wave.
Dream had a strange desire to stay. She wanted to go back to ForestClan so bad it hurt. Where was Hawkstar? Maybe Lightstream? Would they let her come back? Probably not. If she managed to plead Owlclaw or someone into it, maybe. Dream regretted her desicion so badly. Growling, the she cat managed to cool down a notch and began looking for ForestClan cats.
Dawndew was angry. And she meant that. Quivering inside the cave, different emotions flooded over her. Rejection was the strongest. Shaking her head, she recapped her life. Hmm. Maybe she was over reacting. But still. Did she hate Firebolt as much as he hated her now? Flexing her claws, Dawndew decided that if she had time alone to herself, she could calm down.

Talonpaw was sitting nearby, trying to talk to someone...anyone. Except that little Miss Know-it-all Windpaw. Spotting his clanmate Strawberrypaw with Crystalpool, he walked over, though feeling left out with the other apprentices. A air of sadness overwhelmed him, and with a groan, he managed to muster a "Hi, Strawberrypaw." No, he wasn't flirting. No, Talonpaw felt like he had devolped a crush on someone else. Windpaw.Err, he hated her! Sitting down by Strawberrypaw, he tried to make a converstation. But then, she was probably sick. Dipping his head, he left and found his gaze, once again, dragged back to Windpaw. What is happening to me? he thought wildly. Do I have to fall for her, out of every cat??? Ack. Choosing a spot close to, well, Windpaw, he watched her share a joke. His gaze kept falling on her, not Stormpaw or Blossompaw. "Why her?" he whispered out loud.

Strawberrypaw let Crystalpool tend to her, but spotted Talonpaw, who said hi, then went to gawk and Windpaw. Strawberrypaw purred weakly. "Am I done yet?" she asked. Crystalpool shook her head. "Almost, though." she soothed calmly. Strawberrypaw groaned slightly.

Crystalpool, tending to the ShoreClan cat, looked for Frostgaze. Where is he? she thought worriedly. Then she spotted Mousepaw, Medicine cat of ShoreClan. But he was enjoying a chat with other apprentices... sighing, Crystalpool found herself worriedly glancing at Talonpaw.

Eagle sat still for a few moments longer, when Scarletstar looked down and asked him if he needed anything. Dipping his head courteously, he began to speak in his deep mew. "I do have something to ask you. My mate is gone, she has been taken by Twolegs. My Twolegs is old and she needs not the help of a cat but the care of other Twolegs. Both of my kits are in your Clan."
He glanced down, his yellow eyes slightly embarassed, but he caught sight of Featherpaw and Oakpaw and swung his head back up, continuing to speak to Scarletstar. "I would like to ask if I may stay with your Clan."
The brown-and-white apprentice watched as Mousepaw approached, and meowed a warm greeting. She had never been bothered by the deformities of other cats, and accepted every cat the way they were. Listening to Mousepaw speak about the dogs, she got to her paws and meowed fiercely, "I'll claw their noses off for that!" The spunky ShoreClan apprentice lashed her tail at the thought of the dogs. Nasty mutts, they had no right to attack him!
Watching Shadowpaw approached, she mewed a greeting at the tom, but couldn't help noticing the way he ignored Stormpaw. Frowning a little, she was about to say something, when Talonpaw came over to sit beside her. She froze in surprise. This was the absolute last thing Windpaw would ever have expected. T-Talonpaw, coming over to sit beside me? He hates me, doesn't he?
Fixing her bright blue gaze on him, she continued in her head, and... don't I hate him? Asking herself that, she thought of a barbed retort for herself, but her emotions continued to battle. Hearing him murmur something, she said, "What?" but was distracted by Mousepaw's mew of how things were for everyone. "Good, thanks!" Windpaw meowed brightly.
Jetmoon was sitting towards the back of the cave, grooming his jet-black fur, when he caught a scent he hadn't smelled in a while. Wha-? Leaping to his paws, he scanned the cave for the she-cat he knew was there. His forest-green eyes widened when he spotted her. Trying to act casual, he padded over to her, glancing around worriedly. "Um, Dream? What are you doing here?"

"Er..." Talonpaw began but stopped. Ha, if she wanted a bad reaction out of him, she wouldn't get one. With a snort, he gave a small mew of 'Hi,' to Blossompaw and Stormpaw, cursed under his breath, and looked for someone to talk too. Not wanting to mae a chat, the lonely apprentice left and looked for... Twilightsong, his mentor. With a sympthic glance at Strawberrypaw again, the tom went to explore. Alone.
Snowleaf spotted Stormpaw and two apprentices... ShoreClan she guessed, with her. The EmberClan warrior dipped her head frostily to Songheart. StormClan. Flexing her claws, battle hungry and disturbed by the way she was behaving, the she cat gave a final snort and padded over the younger cats. "Hello." she meowed more kindly, smiling at Stormpaw, her clanmate. "Mind if i join your... converstation?" she asked.
Frostgaze looked for Crystalpool, needing to talk with her alone. the senior warrior was sleepy and gave up when he found her tending to a patient. Groaning heavily, Frostgaze sat nearby, his penatrating gaze on her and only her.

Stormpaw returned Snowleaf's grin. She was in an abnormally good mood, despite the gash in her shoulder. Maybe it was because all the apprentices were here. Or one in particular... "Uh... sure," she stammered to the warrior, yanking herself out of her thoughts. "That's fine.""
Shadowpaw stared determinedly at his paws, ignoring everyone. He knew that he was being incredibly rude, and he actually was enjoying it. And no one can yell at me, he gloated, because I'm a medicine cat! As he thought this, he glanced nervously back at Crystalpool, as if she would be able to see the ugly thoughts passing through his head. But she was treating a patient, and the dark tabby breathed a sigh of relief.

"Ah... oh... uh..." Dream stammered when Jetmoon probably appeared out of nowhere. "Oh..." Shut up, Dream! You're embarrasing yourself... "Where's Hawkstar?" she spluttered. Finally. Shuffling her paws, she added, "I... need to speak to... her." Spluttering again, Dream lowered her head. She didn't want to tell any ForestClan cat she wanted to come back. They'll call you traitor... Owlclaw had said. Traitor rung in her ears over and over. No! I can't go back! she was desperate to be able to walk away but she was rooted to the ground. "Okay.. so... um... Is she hurt? Hawkstar, I mean? If she is... .I'll leave." You're not wanted. a voice whispered angrily and sadly. Dream stammered over the words and tried to just return Jetmoon's casual approach. Mimicking her jibbersih-like words in her mind, Dream finally made a calm face and waited for his answer. Calm down. He isn't Hawkstar.
