Listening carefully to Scarletstar, Eagle's golden eyes brightened. I can stay with my kits... I'm very happy. They're the last reminder I have of Kizzy. The big dark tabby nodded seriously. "Thank you, Scarletstar. I will be a loyal warrior of StormClan."
His thoughts shifted back to the day when he and Kizzy first took Oakpaw and Featherpaw to StormClan. They were so small then. The scene replayed itself in his head.
Eagle and Kizzy stepped lightly over the terrain, leading to StormClan territory. They had previously made an appointment with a warrior named Bluetail to bring them to live with a Clan. The big tom addressed Oakpaw with warm but somber eyes, not only for what he was about to say but also for what he was about to do. Setting the kit down, he looked into his son's eyes, and began to speak in a quiet voice, barely restrained from the emotion that wanted to escape.
"You must always protect your sister. I want you to train hard and become a loyal warrior of StormClan." His husky mew was all but screaming the barely restrained sadness he felt at giving up his kits to live with a Clan. "I will, dad," Oakpaw had mewed, and Eagle stood upon the riverbank as he watched Bluetail lead the two kits away and into the unknown.
Eagle turned his topaz eyes to his son and daughter. Oh, how they've grown, he thought, a rusty purr caught in his throat. When Oakpaw tackled him, the purr escaped, and he felt a fatherly adoration for the StormClan apprentices, an affection that was something that could never be experienced from any other source. He remembered briefly the long afternoons he spent on walks or hunting, completely lonely as his mate had been taken by Twolegs and his kits were growing up in StormClan.
All of that was forgotten in the moment of love he shared with the apprentices. He tried to forget the complete desolation he had felt, and how he had slowly come to the inevitable decision to leave his Twoleg and live with his kits. He nodded, sitting tall, wondering what his warrior name would be and at the same time sitting closely with his kits. At Oakpaw's offer to show him around, he purred even more strongly, also glancing at Featherpaw. "That will be up to Scarletstar."
Jetmoon nodded to Dream. The she-cat had always been his friend, even when she had left the Clan, and he knew that would never change. What if it was beginning to be more than just friendship...? No, mousebrain. Jetmoon's mental was amused, but he couldn't help but wonder if it really was what he thought. Shaking it off, he fixed his forest green eyes on his previous mentor, nodding in affirmation to him.
Watching Owlclaw pad up to the Highrock and ask Hawkstar, he tensed. Not realizing he had been holding his breath until his lungs burned, he let out the air with a sheepish grin. He glanced at Dream, confidence in his eyes.
Windpaw watched as Oakpaw left, and a gossipy curiosity entered her brain. Turning, she watched as Scarletstar said something, and then Oakpaw pounced on a tomcat she didn't recognize. Dismissing the action lightly, she turned back to the group just as Shadowpaw was leaving. Looking to Mousepaw as he spoke, she replied, "I have no idea."
Heathersky padded into the Central Cavern from the EmberClan cave. She had been attending to the EmberClan wounds, but after wondering where everyone was, the EmberClan medicine cat decided to find out. Leaving the cave, she padded out of it and into the Central Cavern. Looking around, her gray eyes spotted immediately throngs of cats conversing, just like a Gathering back at home. Of course, that's where everyone went.
Looking up, she saw a Highrock-like outcropping, where she noticed with another jar to her stomach that there was no leader representing EmberClan. Looking for Frostflash, she spotted the deputy and padded over to her just as Ashpaw bumped into her. Purring amusedly, the medicine cat mewed, "Looks like a regular Gathering in here."
Songheart nodded, her bright green eyes relieved. Alright StarClan, don't blame me for not making amends, the StormClan deputy thought amusedly. Returning Cinnamonstreak's nod, she turned away, her eyes searching for someone to talk to. Deciding that wasn't important, she padded over to the base of the Highrock, looking around. Arriving just in time to hear the bit about Eagle staying with StormClan, she twitched her ears confusedly, but did not question her leader.
Hearing Twilightsong's words, she twitched her whiskers in agreement, purring with amusement. "Agreed," Songheart mewed in reply.
((Alrighty, now all my cats are here xD))

Frostflash blinked amusedly at the clumsy ForestClan apprentice. "I'm okay, thanks. You're... Ashpaw, right? Wolffeather's apprentice?" She hoped that was right: she had never been very good with names.The grey she-cat grinned. "So, um, how are you?" It felt a little weird to be having a conversation with an apprentice from another Clan, but she shrugged the feeling off. It's just like a Gathering, I guess. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Heatersky. Frostflash turned and nodded to her. "Hi."
Snowveil limped into the cavern, keeping close to the wall and in the shadows. I don't want them to see me before I've had a good wash. Her formerly white fur was now stiff with mud and blood. The warrior settled down in a distant corner, ignoring the other cats. She began to carefully draw her tongue over the fur on her shoulder, wincing at the horrible taste.

Ashpaw nodded her head and said politly, "yes, that's me, and Wolffeather is my mentor, I wonder where he is..." she looked around at all the cats, noticeing them for the first time. "Is this some sort of gathering or somthing?" she asked frostflash. wow, im talking to the Emberclan DEPUDY! she thought to herself cheerfully. She smilled at herself and waited for frostflashs reply.
Jetclaw noticed something sneak in, through the shadows, he looked more closely and reconized a white patch of fur. He scented the air and reconized Snowveil. He smirked to himself thinking, Must be trying to sneak in unnoticed, to wash herself... he watched her with glowing blue eyes, admiring her form.His tail swayed back and forth.

Wolffeather heard his name said. He turned his head to see Ashpaw talking with the Emberclan deputy, Frostflash. He padded over to them. "Hey Ashpaw. Hi Frostflash." He meowed, dipping his head respectfully, even though Frostflash was from a different clan.

"Hi Wolffeather!" Ashpaw purred to her mentor happily. She looked at him with a toothy grin. She turned her gaze back to Frostflash and asked, "Soooo, how is Emberclan doing?" she looked at her with questioning eyes and asked unexpextedly, "Hey is Icepaw here?" she looked around at all the cats trying to find the white tom.

Hearing his name from a distance, Icepaw turned his head to the direction it had come from. In that direction he noticed Ashpaw talking to Frostflash and Wolffeather. He ran over to them, "I'm right here. Hey Ashpaw, Wolffeather, Frostflash" he said nodding to each of them. "How are you?"
OOC: I don't feal like using Opalpaw right now, but I will later....

Ashpaw saw Icepaw and she smiled and said, "Hey Icepaw! Im fine...how about you?" she thought, What's with me? I'm acting all nice to Icepaw....I wonder if I might have a crush on him.... she flicked her ear at the thought no...i'm too young to start to have feelings for him....and he's in a different clan! she watched icepaw closely.

"I'm good."Icepaw said cooly. I don't want Frostflash thinking I want to hang out with a Forestclan cat. It wouldn't be good if she suspected something. Trying to ignore Ashpaw's gaze, Icepaw just looked down at his paws for a moment then asked Frostflash, "Was there a gathering or something going on?"

Hawkstar looked between the two cats who had just spoken her. "Ah, Owlclaw, can it wait?" she meowed, with a glance back at the other leaders. Whatever he was hinting at -"someone" there to ask "something"- it would probably better be discussed in the relative privacy of Forestclan's own cavern. She hated to discuss any clan business in front of so many cats, and the timing could've been better. "We're just about to start the Gathering," she meowed, omitting the stronger reason behind her words, "Let's talk about it when we get back to the cave as a clan."
Hawkstar hated brushing him off, but under the circumstances it seemed justified. I can apologize later, she thought, And that's assuming he's even annoyed or offended. I don't know that, quit with the negativity. With a slight, apologetic smile, Hawkstar returned her attention to the other cats at the front of the cavern. "Yes, let's," she meowed in answer to Twilightsong's suggestion, "Everyone seems to be here." With a glance at the other leaders, Hawkstar moved purposefully forward a step and adjusted her posture so that any of the gathered cats who glanced up would see that they were ready to begin.

Ashpaw answered, "Yeah...I think it is...Hey look! Hawkstar looks like she's going to address everyone, let's listen." she mewed, while gestering with her tail up at Forestclan leader. She smiled at Icepaw warmly and nodded to Frostflash, and winked at Wolffeather. She turned her attention to Hawkstar and watied pationtly for her to begin the gathering, or whatever it was.
Firebolt noticed, Forestclan leader, Hawkstar standing on the rock, looking like she was about to begin the "Gathering" Firebolt stood up and stretched, because he was laying down on the hard cave floor for so long. He looked around at all the other cats and then back up at Hawkstar. Finally this thing can get started... he thought relieved. Wonder where Darkpaw is...

Frostflash nodded politely to Wolffeather, and grinned at Icepaw as she appeared. The deputy was slightly worried by the way Ashpaw addressed Icepaw; as if they were friends. But Icepaw's cool tone assuaged her fears slightly. I'm imagining things. She noticed Ashpaw look up, and followed his gaze to where Hawkstar looked like she was ready to speak. Frostflash turned to face the ForestClan leader, curling her tail tightly around her grey paws.
Stormpaw hissed in annoyance as Shadowpaw stalked away. What is his problem?! Are all StormClan cats this bad-tempered? She narrowed her eyes, remembering arguments with Cloudmist and Snowveil. Then the grey apprentice stopped, her gaze once again returning to Oakpaw. Not all StormClan cats, she thought. One is nice, at least...

Heathersky nodded to Frostflash in reply. She had felt quieter and quieter lately, insanely busy since the rogue attacks. Many cats had been injured in the battle, and there had been a lot for the EmberClan medicine cat to deal with. Plus, there was also the fact that StarClan had not spoken to her since before the flood, and that bothered her. Not exactly bothered, just unsettled.
Standing, the silver tabby nodded to excuse herself, and padded to sit below the Highrock. Casting her storm-gray gaze around, she realized again that there was no one to stand in for EmberClan at the meeting aside from the deputy, who had sat firmly on the cave's floor. As Hawkstar padded to the front of the Highrock, she cast a glance back at the deputy. She was supposed to stand in for Blazestar, but Heathersky stood, shaking her pelt wearily. The medicine cat didn't mind standing in for the leader, had done it before, and didn't mind doing it again.
Wondering briefly if Frostflash was going to come over, she pushed herself off the ground, and hopped nimbly onto the stone outcropping. Looking down over the other cats made Heathersky feel slightly dizzy, and she still felt that slight awkwardness at being on top of the Highrock. It wasn't really her place to do it, she knew, and she would gladly step down for the deputy to take her place. Looking at the leaders, she dipped her head in greeting, her stone-colored eyes like stones themselves, not revealing anything about her discomfort.
Eagle continued to purr, and looked up to see the ForestClan leader step forwards to address the cats. He had never been to a Gathering, so he didn't know what it was like, but stepped back a few paces and sat down respectfully. Topaz eyes fixed unblinkingly on the leaders, he didn't fail to notice that a silver she-cat scented of herbs padded onto the Highrock. If I'm not wrong, that's a medicine cat... what is she doing up there? I'm not a Clan member quite yet though, it's not my place to ask.
Jetmoon nodded at Hawkstar's words; the jet-pelted tom understood the meaningful look she gave Owlclaw that told him this was not the time to discuss Dream's circumstance. Flicking his tail for the she-cat to follow him, he padded towards the front of the cave, near the entrance. Other cats might know that she was one of the rogues, and ask why she was here, or worse, attack her. Jetmoon didn't want to attract attention to himself or either of the other two cats he had just been with, so he sat, curling his black tail around his paws.
Songheart was in a cheerful mood. Though a tempest like no other raged outside the cavern in which all of the Clan cats dwelt, the Clans had not broken out in a fight yet, and the hostility between EmberClan and StormClan seemed to be either muffled or dulling down. Either way, that anger between the two fighting Clans was not there anymore, and Songheart was appreciative of that. She watched Hawkstar pad to the front of the Highrock, lime-green eyes fixed on the ForestClan leader.
Windpaw twitched an ear, and as she was facing the Highrock's direction, saw Hawkstar step forwards to address the rest of the cats. The brown-and-white ShoreClan apprentice gestured with her tail in the direction of the Highrock. Fixing her bright blue eyes on the leader, she grinned. "Finally. Maybe soon we can go back and get some well-needed rest and relaxation."

~/.CRYSTALPOOL.\~ Crystalpool jumped a tree length high when the leaders gathered the cats. Gasping, she raced over and realized she hadn't missed anything. Another pawstep nearby made her flinch. The rogue Dream was nearby, her eyes mere slits as she followed Jetmoon and Owlclaw. Her ears twitched when Hawkstar excused her and she went to follow Jetmoon silently, sitting beside him glumly. Her gaze dragged around nothing and she was unhappy, clearly. Crystalpool dragged her gaze back to where she was and sat calmly.
.x. //DREAMPAW\\\ .x. Dream swept her tail against the dirt as she stared up with unblinking eyes at Hawkstar. When Scarletstar said that a kittypet was joining StormClan, she felt better. Then a rogue can join ForestClan. she promised herself. Her gaze fixed on Jetmoon and Owlclaw. At least they care. Dream expected a clawing and her tumbling out of the cave to her death. For a heartbeat she met Jetmoon's gaze and flinched, jumping and crashing into Crystalpool. The medicine cat's gaze was know staring coldly at Heathersky. Hmmm. What was wrong? Dream settled more quietly and tried not to be nosy. Abruptly getting up, Dreampaw found her way to the back of the crowd, and put her nose on her paws. This is hopeless. She thought, only half joking.
~~~//DEWPAW\\~~~ (I don't know where she is right now) Dewpaw had settled on a cozy spot where there was worn rock. Yawning slightly, she was pushed around and jumped like a startled rabbit. Her gaze narrowed as a rogue pushed her way to the back of the mass of cats and Scarletstar announced that a kittyypet was joining the Clan.Say what? she thought, snapping out of her thoughts about Flickerheart.
!~!//STRAWBERRYPAW\\!~! Strawberrypaw was near the side of the crowd, her kittypet-like gaze on the ground. Wait. Eagle joined the Clan? Hey, he was a kittypet too! Her paws began pattering with anticipation. Yes! I'm not the only one!Twitching her tail with happiness, the ShoreClan she cat squeaked. "Oops." she muttered, and shut up.
Blitzfire looked up from where he had been dozing at the edge of the cave. Streaching, he pulled himself to his feet, feeling his sore muscles protesting. With a sigh he padded closer to the leaders and sat, his tail curled over his paws.
Wildstorm noticed the leaders getting ready to start the gathering. Still keeping to the wall of the cave, she slipped over to stand closer so shee could see and hear better. Settling down beside a stalagmite, she waited for them to start.
Yangpaw noticed Hawkstar step forward and he quickly nudged his sister and pointed his tail towards the highrock. "I't looks like we're about to begin." He mewed to the others as his yellow green gaze was fixed on Hawkstar.
Scarletstar, seeing that Hawkstar was starting the gathering, dipped her head to Eagle and excused herself as she stepped forward to stand next to the ForestClan leader. Feeling a small ripple of air move past her fur, she looked around to see Heathersky jumping up to join them. She's here in Blazestar's place... She realized. Nodding to the medicine cat, she once again turned her amber gaze forward at the assembled cats. SHe flicked her ears to Hawkstar, saying that she would go first. She stepped forward and yowled, silencing the cats. Once everyone was quiet, she raised her voice and called out. "We have arrived at Korkea Maa, our temporary home while we wait out the storm. WIth a few minor arguments and a welcoming battle with the rogues, most of us are ok, except for a couple cats." SHe was thinking about Snakebite and the others that were lost in the battle. "May they rest with StarClan." Taking a breath, she continued. "Hopefully, we will wait out the storm here in relative peace. Once we're all settled in, we're going to need to solve a couple things, such as food. But on a happier note, Eagle, the father of Oakpaw and Featherpaw and a helper in the battle, is now a member of StormClan." She smiled down at the tomcat.
ooc - ehh... don't know what else to say. I hope that's good enough. >.<
Dewfur looked up at the leader in surprise Eagle is joining, he could see young apprentice type cats, but a full grown tom? Would he learn the warrior code? Shaking himself he answered his question sternly, wait and see. Then he saw a shoreclan cat he had never seen before, she too looked to be at the edge of everything, so flicking his tail Dewfur went and sat a short way away. "If she wants to talk she can always come over" he mewed to himself.
