Skysong was hardly felt better after the medicine cats' reasuraances; still worried about Dewpaw. It wwas horrible being stuck in the medicne cat's den for a half-moon, but that was a little problem compaired the the pain, the inablility to walk and all of the energy that was bouncing around her once the paw was mostly healed but the medicine cats still said that you shouldn't leave the camp. Dewpaw seamed to be dealing with the pain, however, even now, she was talking animatedly to Cinnamonstreak, completly ignoring any and all pain shooting through her leg. Skysong hoped she would be all right. A dislocated paw, Heathersky had said. Skysong had never had ha dislocated paw before, but she had sprained it once. She had been told that she was lucky that she had dislocated it, because it would've been three times more painful. She was ignoring most of the cats around her. Suddenly Crystalpool walked away angrily and Skysong looked up, having missed what had happened. Confused she watched with growing horror as Cinnamonstreak exploded in everyone's face. She managed to get the gist of what had happened, and she bacame angry herself. "Your supposed to help any cat, no matter the Clan. Clan rivalries do not effect medicine cats. That's what StarClan said, right? You just went agenst your own code." She hissed at Crystalpool. She had tryed to make her voice icy, but the boiling anger ruined the attempt.
Swifttail was startled when Songheart marched determinadly towards the EmberClan apprentice. "Wai-" he called after her, but it was to late. He was worried about how the Clans would react to the Deputy of StormClan to insult an EmberClan cat. Already tensions where high beween the two and they would have to survive together for a few weeks, at least. He hurried after Songheart, but she reached the apprentice before he reached her. He waited behind his mate, but surprisingly she didn't shout at the apprentice. He was now officially confused. As of a few minutes ago. Songheart really wasn't a violent cat, but now she was talking with Snowviel about how the EmberClan's apprentices were getting out of control. He supposed that the storm must've run through most of her patientce. "Maybe we should go fing Scarletstar." He suggested, intenting to get her away from the EmberClan cats. "Maybe there's something that we can help with." He really hope that she would stop taking out her irritation on an injured apprentice. Crystalpool walked over and started talking bad about EmberClan, too. Shortly after, the perpetually angry EmberClan tom, Cinnamonstreak started shouting at Crystalpool. He was furious. This was never going to work. There was no denying it now, EmberClan and StormClan could not possibly live within two days walk of each other. Why did StarClan make this happen now? What did they do wrong? Why did they have to live in caves three rabbit-hops from each other when the cats were almost at each other's throughts?

Blitzfire stood a little ways away from Skysong. He narrowed his eyes at Songheart. What would you have done? He thought furiously at the StormClan deputy. What would you have done if your clan was starving? He scraped his claws angrily on the surface of the bare rock, frustration making his fur prickle.
Scarletstar was weaving her way through the assembled cats, checking up that everyone was ok. As she neared a knot of EmberClan and StormClan cats, she heard Swifttail mention her name. Padding up to her the warrior and Songheart, she asked "Did you ned me for anything?"

Swifftail jumped a little when Scarletstar walked up. He was suddenly releaved, a Clan leader would be albe to take care of this. "Well," he had been intendig to tell her that he did, she shoud really stop the fight. He decided not to waste words and just pointed with his tail to the fight. "Help," was all he ended up saying in a strangled sort of voice.

((Heathersky would explode too but her personality won't let her XDD nor will her position. By the way, Heathersky was handing the cobwebs to Crystalpool so that she could dress Snowveil's ear scrape, not Dewpaw's paw... ))
I watched for a moment, and as the hostility grew, I tried to interrupt and tell Crystalpool that I didn't intend for her to dress Dewpaw's paw (especially considering the tension, despite Crystalpool being a medicine cat) and for her not to get too involved, when she hissed and hurt Dewpaw. As the apprentice yowled, my fur stood on end and my claws unsheathed. "That is an apprentice of my Clan, Crystalpool," I said, inwardly seething, but thanks to my constistently calm mind, I didn't have to show that I was angry at her. I wasn't angry at her because she was from StormClan; I was angry at her because she was repeating the foxdung hostility that I would expect from a kit with less self control than an angry badger. The behavior was immature and clearly swapping insults was not as bad as injuring another cat.
When Crystalpool raced off, I hissed, "We don't want your help if you're going to hurt her worse than you're going to help her," but I half-hoped she hadn't heard me, and besides, I didn't say it that loud. I looked back to Dewpaw. "Don't blame yourself for her," I meowed reassuringly. I heard Snowveil spit something about EmberClan apprentices being out of control, and I had to close my venomous silver eyes and take a few deep breaths to calm myself. This is unusual, for even me to get so worked up over this. When I fix Dewpaw's injury, it will be all better, so why get so worked up over it?
When Dewpaw asked what she did, I looked back to her, my eyes changing from anger to soft reassurance. "You did nothing," I replied, in a soothing tone, and suddenly Crystalpool was back. I said nothing for a few moments, studying the tears on her muzzle for a few moments and taking back the cobweb, and there was an awkward silence. I decided that going about things aggressively would never help, so I replied, "It's alright, Crystalpool..." and trailed off in woe.
I watched Cinnamonstreak release his temper, and thought with amusement that it wasn't an uncommon thing, although pride for EmberClan swelled my heart. We have strong warriors at least, to help us and to defend our Clan. "Thank you, Cinnamonstreak," I replied quickly, trying to turn the conversation in a different direction and focus on helping Dewpaw, but then Crystalpool stomped away and started talking again about how unruly EmberClan's apprentices were.
'Stop it right now, Crystalpool,' I wanted to scream, to tear out her fur, to let the blood fly. I didn't care if I was acting immature as well now, she started this and allowed herself to be swayed in her duties as a healer under StarClan by opinion. Am I losing it now? Why would I let her overopinionated, kittish and immature comments about EmberClan get to me? None usually do... I glanced at Cinnamonstreak, hopeful that he would back me if things got ugly, and paced to where Crystalpool now stood, defacing my Clan.
"Crystalpool, keep your immature comments to yourself," I meowed scathingly. "That you would allow yourself to make a mockery of all that a medicine cat is and StarClan teaches signifies that you never should have been given the responsibility to help others when they are in need. No, you are not capable of doing something as simple as helping an apprentice in need is a clear demonstration of that. I don't care if you're from StormClan, because a medicine cat is supposed to be able to see past Clan rivalry and focus on what's important, what I care about is whether or not you injure another cat with your reckless behavior. I was willing to accept your apology the first time, but not the second. I don't want you near Dewpaw if all you're going to do is injure her worse, or any other cat." I finished my emotional monologue and spun, returning curtly to where I had been sitting before. "Now, where were we... oh yes, we need to relocate your paw." After having spoken out all my anger, I was now as serene as I usually was, calm and collected in a situation of injury.
((I use bigger words when I get mad ^.^' at least for Heathii.))
Songheart watched Crystalpool, but couldn't hear that well from where she was so simply observed as the medicine cat stalked over to her. She was still a little mad from the whole situation, so when Crystalpool spoke, she nodded, fire again in her eyes. "It was your duty as a medicine cat to tend to her, but she didn't need to act like a mousebrained kit," The StormClan deputy meowed harshly. "And we all lose our tempers," She added sympathetically. "Agreed," Songheart replied to Snowveil. Watching Crystalpool leave, she felt confused, but when Crystalpool returned and apolgogized, she protested.
"No, don't apologize to them," She called, frustrated at the EmberClan cats. When Cinnamonstreak exploded in Crystalpool's face, that was it. "Shut up, FOXDUNG," She howled at the EmberClan warrior, and when the warrior dared come over to yell at Snowveil, she unsheathed her claws, tensing to loose herself at him. "You want to see out of control, mousebrain, you look at yourself! You're not insulting us, you're insulting YOURSELF and EMBERCLAN. You're demonstrating to us that you're nothing but an unintelligent wad of foxdung that could never deserve to live among normal cats!!!" When he stalked away, she almost lashed out at him, and started to move before she realized the consequence. It could be worse if she attacked, so she waited; he had a bad temper, and as far as she was concerned, he would attack her first. "You just remember that it was that apprentice who landed on me first! That's considered a hostile attack, you just remember that, crowfood!"
When Heathersky came to Crystalpool to scold the medicine cat, she upturned her nose in disgust. How dare that hypocritical cat dare to do that! "How do you sleep at night?" Songheart hissed scathingly after the medicine cat was finished with her speech. She watched the medicine cat leave, and when she whipped around to shoot a burning glare at Songheart, the deputy smirked. "Agreed, again," She replied to Crystalpool.
Windpaw nodded energetically. "Of course!" The ShoreClan apprentice replied eagerly. Listening to the bickering, she glanced past Stormpaw to the feuding cats. "They're distracted by each other, they won't notice us," She meowed mischievously. "I'm going to ask Blossompaw if she wants to come. Hey, Blossompaw!" She meowed to the other apprentice, flicking her tail in indication for her to come over.
Jetmoon watched the goings-on boredly. There was nothing exciting... and suddenly, cats were fighting. He hated fighting, so he spun and entered the den intended for the Clans to share. Looking around the vast cavern, he spotted four areas, each within a small curved corner of the cave. Looking around, he padded into the first one to the left and scanned the sandy bowl-shapes in the ground. The journey had worn him out, so he circled and layed down, closing his forest-green eyes, trying to sleep.
((Is anyone going to bring in the rogues? I don't want to bring in Eagle without at least another rogue.))

Scarletstar narrowed her eyes at the tightly concentrated knot of angry StormClan and EmberClan cats. She sighed and bounded over, shouldering her way into the group next to and angry Songheart. "What's going on here?" She asked, barely hinting a growl in her voice.

Crystalpool snarled and said "If you were a medicine cat, wouldn't you think that... Dewpaw needed... comfrey?" Crystalpool was sure Dewpaw's paw was broken. She spat in Heathersky's face, nearly clawing her eyes, but instead she stalked away, facing Cinnamonstreak. "You have to knock some sense into her, you hot-headed warrior!" Crystalpol noticed Scarletstar heading toward the tide of cluttered cats and hissed in fury and disgust. She glared at Cinnamostreak and let her fur lay flat. Padding over to Scarletstar, she meowed "Can I talk to you later?" Before stalking away.
Dewpaw licked her cobweb-slapped paw angrily. If Blazestar isn't gonna punish that... excuse for a medicine cat, I'll expect my mentor to claw her ears off! Dewpaw furiously wanted Cinnamonstreak to flip her to the bottom of Korkea Maa and kill her or hurt her or something... but still. Dewpaw noticed the StormClan leader come over and Crystalpool murmur something in her ear. She only caught talk and later. Dewpaw snorted angrily. "Heathersky, I'm glad you don't behave like that." she meowed happily. she turned to Scarletstar and her anger returned. "tell your medicine cat to stop being a load of foxdung!" she spat, knowing how disrespectful she was being, noticing Songheart there too. Critisizing a medicine cat in front of the leader and deputy's face was a bit too much. Dewpaw didn't care.

Songheart stood, listening to her mate and still glaring daggers at the EmberClan cats. Looking up when Scarletstar came, she nodded respectfully. "The EmberClan cats are behaving in a way that indicates they want to fight," She meowed coolly, sounding much more reasonable than she had a few moments before. The deputy turned and licked Swifttail on the head, glad that her mate didn't have to get dragged into this, and shifted her eyes back to the other cats.
I emitted a laugh, with a little grim humor in it. "Comfrey? Is that what this is about? If you want comfrey go find some." My voice was bitter, and when she spat in my face, my silver eyes went wild. I almost chased after her, but I spotted Scarletstar, and padded over to the red-and-white leader. "Scarletstar, I need to talk to you," I meowed quietly, gently in case she was as angry as her Clan around her. "If you're open now it may be best, but I understand completely that your duty as a leader comes before the request of a medicine cat." I looked up at Crystalpool, and shook my head. I had been willing to listen to her, to humor her, if she had not spat in my face I may even have taken her advice and found the comfrey. But her obnoxous behavior was too much for me to ignore, and I turned on my paws again and wheeled myself towards Dewpaw.
"Thank you, Dewpaw," I meowed gratefully, pleased that I was supported by at least one cat. The blatant Clan rivalry... a medicine cat was supposed to be above that, not below it. Medicine cats are supposed to follow in the path of StarClan, of empathy towards other Clans, and I had tried my best to understand it from her perspective. But nothing seemed to help. She showed raw hatred for EmberClan cats, which I felt was being about as shallow as the stream in a drought. Not that I said it, but I silently agreed with Dewpaw as she spat at Scarletstar. I shot her a look of disapproval, but there was a hint of a smirk in my eyes; I had said the same in just a few more words, and it was true that Crystalpool needed to get over herself and do what she needed to, ignoring Clan boundaries to see past to cats as individuals and not judging them based on the Clan that they are in. I stood by, glancing at Cinnamonstreak to see how the warrior reacted to his apprentice's outburst, and for the first time I felt a tad impatient to help Dewpaw heal her paw immediately so she could still use it if a fight came about.

(this is an act peoples) It was that bickering little Windpaw. The tom went over anyway, shouldering the she cat aside. He asked Stormpaw, "What are you doing? can I come?" ooc- I think that we should wait for the current fight to be over, before we start another one. Now would be a really good time to attack, the Clans havn't even settled in yet...
Skysong bristled when Songheart threw insultes at Cinnamonstreak and EmberClan. She was about to reply when Scarletstar walked over. The words died on her tounge, this was just getting worde and worse. Now, on top of a Deputy and two Medicine Cats, there was a Clan leader. If this erupted into a real fight, they were outnumbered. Unless someone came to help. Buy StormClan was sure to get help, too. She glared at Scarletstar, Songheart and Crystalpool, but didn't dare do anything else. Silenlty, though, she aplauded Dewpaw. She did what Skysong didn't have the courage to go.
Swifttail licked Songheart back, whispering "Be careful." He ment that in two ways, be careful to try and not provoke a fight and, if there was a fight, to not get hurt. That would help nothing but wounded pride. There seamed to be one cat who wasn't going insane with anger and hate. Heathersky was handling it all very maturly. He shot a halfway thankfull look in her direction, unable to fully apreciate the medicine cat when she was in EmberClan, but understanding that she had tried to divert the fight. He hoped that she caught it, but he really hoped that she wouldn't comment on it.
ooc- hehe, Swifftail's trying to be a little peacemaker ^^

((whew... this isn't gonna end well for Stormclan. lol Consider yourselves warned.))
Cinnamonstreak, in his fury towards Crystalpool, barely heard Heathersky add her own angry scolding to the Stormclan Medicine cat, but he did appreciate she was agreeing with him that Crystalpool was the one who’d gotten out of line here. Heathersky also completely agreed with his view that Crystalpool wouldn’t be tending Dewpaw, or another Emberclan cat, for awhile since she couldn’t uphold the code to treat all cats equally. He was however a little surprised when Heathersky thanked him for what he’d said. Nodding at her, he flicked his tail, his temper still hot, but at least he wasn’t ready to shred someone. That feeling of not wanting to shred someone however was very short lived as Crystalpool kept badmouthing Dewpaw and Emberclan cats in general.
Growling, Cinnamonstreak listened as Heathersky verbally chewed her out and managed not to smirk outwardly, but only because he was so angry at Crystalpool. A Medicine cat violating the StarClan code to treat all cats equally and then having the nerve to say she was justified because of her dislike for another Clan! He was so disgusted he wanted to spit. Songheart then abruptly turned on him and started yeling at him in justification of Crystalpool and that was the last straw. However, before he could do anything, Scarletstar walked over and demanded to know what was going on.
Rather than answer the question, Crystalpool tried to one up Heathersky in the matter of what herbs she should give Dewpaw. Cinnamonstreak did spit at Crystalpool then, his body language making it clear if she came closer he would have zero reservations about forcibly making her back up with his claws. As far as he was concerned, she was no Medicine Cat. Not with that attitude. She turned on him and snapped at him again and Cinnamonstreak lashed out with his claws, just barely missing her as she turned and whispered to Scarletstar before leaving. Cinnamonstreak’s loud growl made it clear she’d better not come back or else. Dewpaw then spoke up and told Scarletstar exactly what him and Heathersky were thinking and while Heathersky gave Dewpaw a look, and Cinnamonstreak knew she’d been out of line, he did nothing to her at the moment. He wasn’t about to teach HIS Apprentice to bow down to cats that had Crystalpool’s attitude.
Songheart spoke up again and this time in a tone that suggested she was trying to play the goody goody because her leader was there. He smirked at her, barely hearing Heathersky as she spoke to Scarletstar. He was furious at her and knew she was trying to downplay her actions earlier with her leader now there, but he wasn’t about to let her get away with it – forget the fact she was Deputy. It was on now and he didn’t care WHO was there. “Oh, my words indicate I want a fight huh? Well then my actions should match it!” He said before leaping forcefully at her with his claws unsheathed. She wanted a fight, she HAD one. Spitting and snarling a battlecry for Emberclan, he was ready to rip some sense into Songheart the hard way and show her who was weak around here.
(( yeah… warned you guys… lol anyone wanna join in? xD and Talonpaw, your post kinda doesn’t make sense... Blossompaw was talking to Shadowpaw and Oakpaw was talking to Windpaw and Stormpaw… And since her and Oakpaw are now in the same group I’m post them together and mix the colors a little. Font that’s not color coded means its both of them.))
“Okay great! Let’s go!” Oakpaw said when Windpaw said she’d love to, but she stopped them and said she wanted to see if Blossompaw wanted to go. Oakpaw nodded and turned to watch as Windpaw called her over. Blossompaw heard her name called and turned around to see Windpaw motioning for her to come over. Nodding for Shadowpaw to come if he wanted to, she trotted over to where her, Stormpaw and Oakpaw were standing looking excited about something. “Hey Stormpaw, Oakpaw.” She said before turning to Windpaw. “What’re you guys doing?”
”We’re about to go exploring! You wanna join us?” Oakpaw asked her with a grin. He’d seen the fight developing between Emberclan and Stormclan and frankly, just wanted to stay as far away from it as possible. He really hoped his mom didn’t tell him he couldn’t talk to Stormpaw anymore. She was his friend and just because some of the adults couldn’t get along didn’t mean everyone in the two clans should avoid each other; that was his opinion on the subject.
Before Blossompaw could agree, both of them were surprised when Talonpaw suddenly shoved Windpaw over without any reason or so much as an ‘excuse me’ and coolly asked what they were doing and if he could come. Blossompaw looked at him like he was mousebrained and pushed past him to get to Windpaw. ”Not if you’re going to act like that, no!” She replied as she stood next to Windpaw. “You could’ve said excuse me ya know!” She added as she sat down next to Windpaw.
Oakpaw wasn’t quite sure what to make of Talonpaw’s frosty attitude towards Windpaw and looked over unsure at Stormpaw as Blossompaw, outspoken as she was, told him he couldn’t come if he was going to act like that. Not wanting a fight to break out here either, Oakpaw quickly spoke up. “Um, we were just going to go exploring… but Blossompaw’s right you know… You should at least say you’re sorry to Windpaw.” He said tactfully with another look to Stormpaw, wondering what she thought.

Stormpaw purred as Windpaw and Oakpaw agreed to come exploring with her. "Yeah, I think we can look around before the storm breaks. Blossompaw's welcome too." She squinted at the figures standing a short distance away. There was a small dark tabby standing next to Blossompaw. "Hey, who's that with her?"
Snowveil unsheathed her claws, scraping them against the rock. This was insane! Every EmberClan cat had suddenly started snarling at Crystalpool! All she was doing was trying to help! She hissed softly. "If those thieves no longer need friendship from other Clans, I'll be the first cat to change it from arguments to war! They don't even seem to know what the warrior code is!"
Shadowpaw looked up as Windpaw called to Blossompaw. He did not recognize the other apprentice, and turned back to Blossompaw. "Is he your Clanmate?" Just then, he heard raised voices from behind him, where a huge cluster of StormClan and EmberClan cats had formed. To his shock, he heard Crystalpool's voice among them. What's happening?! Eyes wide with horror, he darted up the slope, meowing a hurried good-bye to Blossompaw. I did want to talk to somecat my age... But this is more important.

Scarletstar nooded at Crystalpool as she stalked off, then opened her mouth to say something. As she was about to speak, an EmberClan apprentice spat at her. "Tell your medicine cat to stop being a load of foxdung!" Dewpaw said. Scarletstar's eyes blazed. She stuck her face in front of Dewpaw's and growled "First of all, my medicine cat can do what she likes. Second of all, I wouldn't ever speak that disrespectfully to a leader again if you value your warrior name." She drew back and turned her attention to Heathersky. She nodded curtly to the new EmberClan medicine cat, and said "I would love to talk to a reasonable cat like you in a minute. But this needs sortinig out first." She flicked her tail at the quarreling cats. Then all of a sudden, Cinnamonstreak burst from the crowd of cats, claws unsheathed. He was leaping at Songheat, spitting and hissing. Letting out a yowl of frustration and anger, Scarletstar jumped into the oncoming cat and pushed him away from Songheart. "Don't you dare attack my deputy when I'm around!" She spat, her legs shaking in anger.
ooc - Was that too much powerplaying?

((eh, not really, but i was really wanting cinny to make contact with songheart, but that's songheart's call and she's not online. boy is she in for a surprise. ^^ muwhahaha, i'ma about to have some fun now. *drags Twi in* Oh and I ran my post with Twi and Cinny together. ^^ The white stuff is just them together cause thats easier since they're fighting.))
Cinnamonstreak wasn't so dumb as to expect Scarletstar to stay out of it, but he still wasn't happy that she got involved. Regardless of her shoving him away from Songheart and angrily telling him not to attack her Deputy, he was furious and didn't care who it was in Stormclan that got in the way, he was teaching Songheart a lesson here and now. Spitting at Scarletstar, he darted around her easily and lunged at Songheart, his snarling making it clear he wanted a piece of Songheart and didn't care if Scarletstar was watching or not.
Twilightsong was across the clearing with Midnightstar and noticed with concern a growing knot of Stormclan and Emberclan cats gathering on the far side near the edge of the cliff. Wondering what was going on, he craned his neck trying to see, but upon hearing angry voices he shook it off as a verbal dispute. Sighing and wishing everyone would just get along, he looked around for Talonpaw, his apprentice. He saw him standing with Blossompaw, Windpaw, Stormpaw and Oakpaw and was glad they seemed to be getting along fine. Too bad the adults can't take a lesson from the Apprentices. He thought to himself.
A sudden yowl made him snap his head around in time to see a red streak tangle with a Stormclan cat. Realizing that HAD to be Cinnamonstreak and knowing this could quickly turn into more than a one-cat scuffle, Twilightsong groaned before racing over to help break it up. He saw Scarletstar was there and usually wouldn't interfere with another leader, but considering she was Stormclan's leader, he figured a neutral party was definately needed here. Especially since Cinnamonstreak was clearly not going to listen to her.
"Hey what's going on over here?!" He shouted to be heard over the snarling and yelling. He saw Cinnamonstreak dart around Scarletstar to again attack Songheart and leaped over to intercept him, trying to break it up. "Knock it off!" He yelled as he used his massive size and body slammed Cinnamonstreak to the ground. He thought Cinnamonstreak would at least check himself once another cat got involved, but boy was he wrong.
Cinnamonstreak was truly a livid ball of rage at this point and seconds later, Twilightsong and Cinnamonstreak were a tangled mass of fur and claws, rolling around and knocking into the other cats in the area as Cinnamonstreak fought to get loose and Twilightsong worked to defend himself and try to make Cinnamonstreak calm down. Twilightsong ended up doing more defense work as Cinnamonstreak was making it obvious he wasn't in the mood for negotiation where Stormclan was concerned. As they rolled around, locked in a fight, it became clear that while Twilightsong was bigger, Cinnamonstreak was proving to be faster. In a dirty attempt to get loose, Cinnamonstreak raked his claws across Twilightsong's face, leaving scratch marks across his nose. Twilightsong yowled and yanked his head back to get away from Cinnamonstreak's claws and Cinnamonstreak took full advantage of Twilightsong being distracted and snaked free and lunged again at Songheart.
