Hazeltear nodded slightly and continued to climb, glancing down once in a while. "I think we should step on it," she commented. "They seem kinda suspicious!" Both she-cats knew that Ripplestream was a sensible cat; if she knew that they were really up to, she'd definately send them back to seamist.

Rippplestream growled thoughtfully. It was quite dangerous for two young cats to be climbing up Korkea Maa when they had never been up there before. The medicine cat felt that they should come back down. Raising her head, she yowled, "Come back down here, you two!"

ooc: I'd like it if Hazeltear and Wolfriver were actually able to climb the mountain ^^ "Mouse dung!" Hazeltear cursed. Ripplestream was getting mad; no doubt, if they came back down, she'd drag them straight back to camp. Glancing at her companion, she mewed in a low voice, "Should we..?"

ooc- Yup, me too. But thanks for keeping it interesting. xD I had no idea what to write next before Ripplestream came in, and this is fun!
IC- Wolfriver kept climbing. "No, are you kidding? It was a dare!" she muttered back, scrambling onto a flattened ledge protruding from the side of the mountain. Feeling safer, she paused and turned her head halfway around. "We'll come back, as soon as we check for foxes!" Wolfriver called down cheerfully, then added, "It's really important! You should watch out, they might still be nearby!" She turned her head back around to look at Hazeltear. "Go!" she muttered urgently, propelling herself up the slope with a powerful thrust of her back legs. Wolfriver caught herself with her claws again and began working her way up paw by paw.

Reassured, Hazeltear began to clawher way up the side of the mountain - which, to her surprise, wasn't that hard. Looking over her shoulder, she mewed, "Well, I can't see any foxes from up here, but I bet I'll have a better view at the top!" Pushing forwards with her powerful hind legs, she continued to climb.

Scarletfire shook her head. "Mousebrained young cats." she muttered. Then she looked up and called "You really should come down. It's not safe up there."

"Well, if they won't come down," Ripplestream looked at Scarletfire, "I'm going with them," her eyes held a fierce determination. "Don't try to stop me," she added. Hurling herself at the rocks, the ShoreClan medicine cat tried to hurry up and join the two young warriors.

Hazeltear tried to go even faster. "Great StarClan, they're climbing too," she mewed. then she sighed. She was a fit, young warrior, and would probably be able to climb up faster than the medicine cat. Closing her eyes briefly, she surged up the mountain. ooc: I won't finish climbing 'till Hawk gets back^^

Ripplestream growled, "Hazeltear, I'm just going to climb with you and Wolfriver. Scarletfire isn't coming." She pointed to the StormClan deputy, "See? She's down there." She flicked her tail irritably and climbed faster to keep up with the young warriors, "Don't try to get away from me," she meowed, "I'm the youngest of all the medicine cats and as old as Pebblestone - by the way, what if you get hurt?"

Hazeltear sighed. Again. She knew that Ripplestream was right, and was surprised that she didn't drag her off to camp, like she thought Wolfriver would do. Slowing down slightly, she shifted over to the side so that the medicine cat would be able to climb better.

Wolfriver sighed and rolled her eyes as Ripplestream headed up the steep hill toward them. "Great. Just great," she muttered. "If she's not much older than us, why is she always patronizing us?" Wolfriver knew she was not being completely fair to the medicine cat, but she was frustrated nonetheless. Ripplestream was quickly coming within hearing range, anyway, so Wolfriver decided to stop commenting under her breath. Returning her attention to the hill, she began hauling herself up the last angled slope. "We're not gonna get hurt," she called down without turning from the hill. "This is fine! We're almost there."

Ripplestream that the young warriors were resenting the fact that she was coming along, but that didn't stop her from following the she-cats quickly.

"Mouse-brained medicine cats always think they know everything," Hazeltear hissed through clenched teeth, and glanced at Wolfriver. "Should we go faster?" she mewed. Ripplestream could follow them if she wanted, but she'd have a hard time doing so.

Ripplestream called out to Hazeltear and Wolfriver, "Why do you two want to get up there anyways?"

"For personal reasons," she called back. No matter what happened, she woulnd't tell Ripplestream what she was doing. Lying to a medicine cat was a terrible thing to do, but she wasn't going to be ridiculed. I wonder what Wolfriver came here for? she wondered. She remembered that she had met her heere, and hadn't come to the mountain with her.
