Forbidden Mate (Sunstone/Spottedsun)

Sunstone padded out of camp to the Canyon to meet his mate, Spottedsun. He had never loved a cat as much as he loved her and there was nothing wrong with that. Except for one thing: She was in StormClan and he was a ForestClan warrior.

The dark ginger tom sat down beside a bush and curled his tail over his paws, waiting patiently for the beautiful she-cat to appear from the other side of the border. He glanced around quickly to make sure no cats were near and scented the air. Good, he thought, They don't need to know anyways, the ForestClan warrior hardly ever broke the warrior code, but this was an exception.

Spottedsun entered the territory warily, obviously on edge being in another cat's territory. All of her instincts were screaming at her that she oculd be killed for being in Forestclan territory. However, she pointedly ignored them, her one good eye glancing around warily for any sight of her love. Finally, her eyes spotted the ginger form of her love, and she sped to him quickly but warily. Luckily, the canyon was located near the border of Forestclan so she didn't worry nearly as much as if she would if they were further in. If push came to shove, she could easily dart over the border. She shook off her thoughts, as she neared Sunstone. She smiled at him in greeting, before taking a seat next to him. "Hey there." She greeted, whisking her tail along his spine lazily.

Sunstone purred with delight and brushed muzzles with his love. "Hi," he mewed, "Was getting here a problem?" his voice was serious as he gave his mate a lick on the cheek and his green eyes darkened with unmasked concern. He had been very scared by the fact that Spottedsun might have been caught by a patrol and he twitched his ears nervously, glancing around every so often.
