Seamist wandered along the Meadows, still mourning the loss of her mate, Pebblestone. Even her kits and the rest of the Clan had accepted it better better than she had, but that was to be expected. After all, she and Pebblestone had been through countless seasons together, through forbidden lovers and tough times. Still...as much as she wished it were not so, she could tell that a new mate would do her some good. Although she was fairly popular within the Clan, she had no one to confide her deepest, darkest secrets in, no one to lean on in times of need. Even her kits had mates of their own now, but herself...she was very much alone.
She glanced up at the graying skies, and groaned inwardly as it started to rain. She had no intention of going back just yet, but bad weather always made her feel irritable and depressed. Just what I need, she thought dryly, and sat down on the muddy ground. Hopefully, the weather would clear before her mind did.

Glacierfrost padded through the meadows. The clamour of clan life was starting to get on his nerves, and needed to calm down before he clawed someone. The death of his sister wasn't helping either. Since he found out at Korkea Maa, he had retreated into a hard shell, not talking much. His fur was dull, and he lost alot of weight.
Why aren't you coming to my dreams, sister? He thought miserably. Freewind hadn't appeared and talked to him at all, and the tom was afraid she was mad at him. So intent on his thoughts he didn't notice the rain, or the cat he tripped over. He gave a startled mew, and tumbled.
He blinked the rain out of his eyes, and saw he had tripped over Seamist. "Oh, sorry.." He mumbled. He looked confused at Seamist, as his mind was muddled and didn't remember who she was. "Uh... who are you?" He asked his clan member.
ooc//OMG, Glacierfrost has lost his memory!

Seamist blinked in confusion at the sudden intrusion, "I'm Seamist, remember?" she mewed gently. "Your Clanmate." She didn't blame him for not remembering; she had been gone for a long time, so he probably wasn't used to her, and she herself had called her kit Hazeltear, 'Hazelclaw'. She shook her sodden pelt flicked the raindrops from her whiskers. She had a fairly short pelt, so hopefully it wouldn't weigh her down. As she did so, she blinked the water from her eyes (which could have been tears or the rain; she couldn't tell) and examined Glacierfrost, taking in his dull coat, skinny frame and hollow eyes. It reminded her of a victim of a leafbare famine, and it tore her heart in two to see someone she knew like this. Her train of thought braked for a second. She barely even knew him, and they rarely interacted. Why did she suddenly care so much?

Glacierfrost twitched his tail and stepped back, before reconization dawned in his eyes. "Sea...mist...?" He mumbled hesitantly. Suddenly, his mind cleared, as if the rain washed them all away. "Ah, Seamist," The tom muttered her name a few times under his breath, as if tasting a new morsel of food.
Glacierfrost sat down opposite of Seamist. His head was starting to feel a bit woozy. What was this feeling when he saw her? His mind always seemed to be clear around the she-cat, but why? He tried to make sense of his thoughts, wihle shaking the rain out of his long fur. It'll be a while until my fur dries out, He thought sullenly. He didn't want to leave Seamist though, so he stayed where he was.

Seamist's eyes glazed over with concern. Every cat knew that Glacierfrost was normally a good-natured goofball - this wasn't like him at all. And even if he were a tad on the depressed side, surely this wasn't normal? No, it seemed as though he had just stopped taking care of himself. "Are you all right?" she mewed. "Maybe you should eat something." Her eyes traveled over his weakened body. "On second thought, why don't I get you something to eat? I'm sure you'll feel better in no time." She couldn't risk him fainting from malnutrition while he was hunting; no, she'd get something for him herself.

Glacierfrost shuffled his paws nervously. "No, I'll get myself something." He tried pinpointing prey, but in this weather, it was slightly above impossible. Not giving up, he scanned the meadows, and some grass moving caught his eye. Dropping into a clumsly hunters crouch, he crept forward. The mouse scrabbling around for food was unaware of Glacierfrost closing in on it. Suddenly, a small flash of lightning lit up the sky behind it, and the startled mouse ran staright into Glacierfrost's surprised self.
The warrior looked stupidly at the mouse, and when he realised what happened, the mouse was long gone. He gave a mew of fustartion, and sat down. What was wrong with himself? He shook his head violently, as if to get rid of a bothersome fly.
sorry, I'm not very literate today...

OOC: S'okay. Seamist shook her head. Now she knew that he was in no condition to hunt. Stealthily, she dropped into the hinter's crouch and slunk towards the vole she had spotted a heartbeat ago. Gracefully, she leaped, and caught her prey squarely between her outstretched paws. She nudged the vole towards Glacierfrost. "Here," she mewed gently. "You need it more than I do." Seamist glanced at her Clanmate. She knew that there was something wrong; that was obvious. What she wasn't sure about was whether he was ill physically, or...emotionally. "I know you're not all right - but I'll respect your privacy. Although, is there something you want to talk to me about?"

Glacierfrost nodded his thanks to Seamist, and bent down to take a bite out of the vole. A few more famished gulps and the vole was gone. With food in his belly, the warrior's head cleared somewhat.
"I know you're not all right - but I'll respect your privacy. Although, is there something you want to talk to me about?"
Glacierfrost stayed silent for a moment. He didn't like to share his feelings, but... somehow he felt he could trust Seamist. He started to speak, hesitantly at first, and with a whisper. "It's Freewind. Since the... incident... at Korkea Maa, she hasn't come to me in anyway." He paused, looking up at the dark sky. "I'm afraid she is angry with me. That's the last thing I want her to be. If she can't be happy in Starclan, then... I don't know what I'll do..."
(gomen for taking so long to reply!)

OOC: Daijoubu dayo. :3 Seamist pressed her muzzle against his muzzle comfortingly. "I know exactly what you mean," she murmured. "I haven't seen Pebblestone since he...died, so I have know idea how he is." Her ears flicked uneasily; she had been devastated at his death, and was still mourning his loss. She knew that her mate probably wanted her to move on, but...it was just so hard to let go. With more conviction, she glanced upwards. "But I'm positive he's up there somewhere, hunting with our warrior ancestors - just as Freewind is doing right now. She was your sister, and she loved you. I bet that now that she's in StarClan's hunting grounds, she's forgiven you for everything you fought with her about."
Seamist looked Glacierfrost directly in the eyes with her piercing, sea-green stare. "As much as it pains me to say this, it's time to move on, Glacierfrost," she mewed sadly. "And that means it's time for me too. Freewind will visit you when she's ready." She looked back over his shoulder, replaying how she had begged Ripplestream to try and see where Pebblestone was, but to no avail. She had refused to take no for an answer, and so she had pestered the medicine cat until they had almost come to blows. In her selfishness, she had completely forgotten that Pebblestone had not only been her mate, but Ripplestream's brother as well.

Hmm, it's a bit hard to continue. Do you have any ideas to move this thread along?
Glacierfrost thought aobut her words. They made sense, and finallly, his heart moved on. "Thanks, Seamist," He murmured, flicking a tail over her ear in gratitude. That was when the rain started. It was a light drizzle at first, but it worked it's way to a pounding down pour. The warrior didn't move, letting the rain wash away all his troubled thoughts. His wet fur clung to his body, making him look skinnier than usual.

OOC: The classic last resort - a mysterious illness. xD
Seamist nodded in return. For some reason, the spot on her ear that he had flicked with his tail seemed more sensitive. I must have a wound there, she thought dismissively. As the rain poured down once more, she began to feel a strange lethargy. That's strange, she thought, as she shook her head in a vain attempt to clear it. If anything, it made her even weaker, and she felt herself beginning to wheeze. A salty tang coated the inside of her mouth. She spat to clear the taste, spraying red liquid onto the ground.
Blood, she thought. She felt no panic as she thought this - in fact, she felt nothing at all. She floated free of her thoughts as her eyes closed and her body fell limp. The last image she saw was of Glacierfrost's alarmed face, staring down at her in horror.
A bit cheesy - sorry >.<

*enter Ripple*
Blood! Ripplestream dropped her catmint that she was carrying back from a little beyond the Meadows and rushed towards the scent. Her amber green gaze widened as she recognized Seamist; the silvery blue tabby was lying on the ground with Glacierfrost standing over her. The medicine cat's first reaction was, What did he do to her?! but she noticed Glacierfrost's claws and pelt were clean and blood-free. "Seamist!" she gasped, forgetting their argument and very very near-fight at the StormClan border with Shadowfire and Cloudmist. THen her thoughts of anger and fury flooded through her again. She had made Shadowfire change his mind about her and now... "Seamist," she hissed through clenched teeth, too quietly for Glacierfrost to hear. But she couldn't let her Clan mate die, however much she hated her right now. "Seamist," she forced her meow to be gentle, "Seamist can you hear me?"

Seamist awoke to find herself in a golden field, surrounded by flowers. A young blue-tabby kit with white paws leaped and bounded about joyfully, batting at another jet black kit. That's me and Shadowfire, she thought, disconcerted. Suddenly, the past events replayed in her mind; she had become dizzy, coughed blood, and fainted. "Am I dead?" she wondered out loud. "Is this StarClan?" This sun-kissed field couldn't possibly be StarClan, she reasoned. For starters, she wasn't surrounded by stars, and her pelt wasn't glowing with starry fire. Secondly, this was an event that had actually happened in the past; StarClan lived in the present. So I'm not dead,, she thought, relieved. Actually, her emotions hadn't changed much from a heartbeat ago; she had never really panicked in the first place. Now, how do I get back...?
"Seamist. Seamist, can you hear me?"
Seamist's ears flattened at the familiar voice. Ripplestream, she thought, trying to rein in her...anger? She felt strongly towards Ripplestream, and in a negative way, but since Shadowfire had rejected her, she didn't know how she felt anymore. It was only natural that she'd be here - she was the medicine cat, after all. Should I follow the voice? she thought. This dream world was so nice, and she was almost positive that she could wake up at any time...

Ripplestream's eyes narrowed thoughtfully, as she scented the air around Seamist. "Mousedung! She has greencough!" the medicine cat hissed under her breath. Looking at Glacierfrost beside her, she meowed urgently, "Can you go and fetch some catmint?" She pointed with her tail in the direction that she came from, "I left some by a boulder very smooth and a round shape." Coltsfoot and tansy would help too but there wasn't enough time too look for any just now. Her anger forgotten, the silver blue she-cat prodded her CLan mate with a paw gently and licked her ear soothingly. Hurry, Glacierfrost! Hurry!

OOC: Sorry for the short post, but it really is hard unless Ripple leaves ASAP and Seamist's fixed. >.<
Seamist sighed. Living in the present was better than living in the past, she supposed, and followed the sound of Ripplestream's voice. As she regained consciousness, she felt a pulsing pain in her throat and head. Maybe I should have stayed unconscious for a little bit longer, she thought, as her eyelids fluttered. "Glacierfrost..." she rasped.
