A red-furred tabby cat, at the fore of a large group of Clan cats, entered the plateau that was Korkea Maa without hesitation. Her stride, calm but somewhat fast-moving, was indicative of her role in the group. The StormClan deputy raised piercing green eyes, looking around the immediate vicinity and ensuring safety for the scouting party. Scenting and seeing nothing of danger, she waved her tail to halt the group. "This is where our groups should split. My squad, take the right, and Ripplestream's squad, take the left." Gesticulation of her tail pointed towards the seperate areas. "If you run into trouble, yell and we should be able to hear you here. If it is danger that cats cannot help, say, a rockslide, get out of there fast. And remember, we meet in the middle at nightfall."
Heatherpaw followed Ripplestream at a leisurely pace, enjoying the stride whilst carrying herb bundles in her mouth. When they stopped, she listened attentively to Songheart.

Wildstorm nodded and split off of the group, padding over to stand by Songheart. She pricked her ears attentively and listened to the StormClan deputy whole looking around, eyeing their rocky surroundings.
Blitzfire bounded energetically onto Korkea Maa after Songheart, tail twitching in excitement. This was his first real important mision as a warrior, and he was determined to show everyone what he could do. Listening to Songheart, he slipped through the crowd until he was by Ripplestream and her patrol.

Owlclaw nodded at Songheart's command and went to sit near Wildstorm. Scanning the plataeu he could see the dens further on but it was blocked out by hills and small bumps in the landscape.

Lightstream padded to Owlclaw's side, and playfully flicked his ear. She was trying to hide her excitement and apprenhension. She didn't like the look of this bareland, after living her whole life in the thick growth of ForestClan territory.

The blind cat went to stand boldly behind Ripplestream a bit, impatient to be on their way. He stood far enough behind to signal that he would follow her lead but close enough to his loyalty to her. Without needing to see, he knew that his sister had gone to join Songheart's party, as he sniffed the air attentively. He had the best nose and ears in Shoreclan, as his senses had accomodated for his loss of sight. He scented nothing foul upon the air and settled himself to rest behind Ripplestream until they were to move out. He let Ripplestream know quietly that their was nothing wrong before falling silent once more.

Ripplestream glanced back at Silversun before picking up the pace just a little. "Okay," she meowed, "Are you sure?" she asked once more. She didn't want Silversun to feel too lost.

A cynical smile tried to appear before he willed it away. he was becoming too much like his sister for his own good. "Yes, I am sure. There are some hares northeast of us, and a small stream towards the west, but nothing ominous is around us." he mewed quietly, hearing Ripplestream's pace quicken slightly as he adjusted to it swiftly. "I'll let you know if anything goes wrong." he told her quietly, his useless eyes focused downward pointlessly. To the inexperienced eye, he may seem to be seeing and timid but really he was just focusing on the noises and scents around him. The forest seemed quiet without paying attention but to his keen ears, he could hear the subtle thumps of the other cats' paws on the ground and the wind rustling through the trees and grass. He could smell the earthiness of the ground and the sharp stinging smell of grass. Most obvious was the smell of Shoreclan and Emberclan mingling together, so strong it almost burnt his nose, but Silversun focused more on the scents underneath. Just as he already knew. There was nothing foul in the air. Just the normal sounds of the earth.

"Very well," Ripplestream meowed, and turned back to the path they were on. She glanced at the cats around her. She wondered whether the other cats would accepted her as a leader for the group she was heading, but she didn't really care. The silver blue she-cat wasn't really a ledaer-like cat anyways.

Skysong bounded energeticly after Blitzfire, sitting with the group behind Ripplestream. There was a strange warrior sitting next to her, talking. He didn't look anywhere, not focusing on anything. After a minute of careful observation, the warrior turned his head and Songheart caught the milky-white eyes. Astonished, she turned to Blitzfire., "Hey Blitzfire," she wispered exitedly, "Do you see that warrior overr there?" she asked. "He's blind. I din't know that blind cats could become warriors." She cotinued, her curiosity obvious in her voice.
Swifttail drifted after Songheart, coming to stop a respectful distance from her, allowing her to stand ahead of the crowd to issue orders. While she jabbered about the division of the groups, his mind wandered aimlessly, thinking about Spottedsun;s story. I wonder what it must be like... he thought, recalling that her parents were rouges. Being Clan-breed, Swifttail had no idea what living alone felt like.

"Right then, that should be everything. If both squads are ready, we can move out." Turning to the right, she strolled forwards confidently. Well, I'm acting much braver than I feel. In fact, I feel like I could lay down and die of embarassment, but a deputy has to be strong and take charge of leadership in the direct absence of a Clan leader. A tiny bit of self-doubt flickered in her eyes, but she continued her stride. Pausing every so often to briefly scent the air to ensure there was no present danger, Songheart glanced back after a bit of this. "So, everyone feel free to let me know if I'm going too fast or if you find something suspicious or otherwise."
The silver-spotted medicine cat apprentice set down the bundles of herbs she carried in between her teeth. Heatherpaw nodded reassuringly to Ripplestream. "You'll be a grand leader," She meowed encouragingly, resuming the carrying of the herbal bundles.

"I guess," Ripplestream gave Heatherpaw a look of fear and pride. "I'm not exactly sure how to lead cats well," she whispered and gave the young apprentice a lick.

Wildstorm padded confidently behind Songheart. Her ears swiveled back and forth to pick up as many sounds as she could, while she lifted her head to scent the air. Not hearing or smelling something suspicious, she kept walking.
Blitzfire nodded to Skysong as he stood up and followed Ripplestream. "That's Silversun. His sister is Spottedsun, I think."

Silversun's ears perked up when he heard another cat whispering about him. He decided to go on over and play dumb. he approached Skyfire and Blitzfire on quiet feet. "Hello there. My name is Silversun. Who're you, if you don't mind me asking?" he inquired politely, calmly settling his once-quick pace to match the slower ones. His cream-colored legs showe donly the slightest amount of hesitation as he tested the ground before he took a step. The ground was soft under his toughened feet, his ears flicking in the direction of the two. His keen nose told him that they were from Emberclan, judging by the smell clinging to their fur.

ooc- Erm, it's Skysong, Tilly, not Skyfire.
Skysong was a little startled when Silversun came over and started talking to her and Blitzfire. "Um, hi, my name is Skysong." She replied, starmmering a bit. She looked curiously over at the warrior. Did he know that they were talking about him? Why did he come over? It really didn't make sence, unless he was listening to them...
Swifttail caught up with Songheart at the front of the group. He could tell that she was a little nervous about leading the group, so he tried to comfert her. "Your doing great." he said encoruagingly, hoping that he didn't sound too cheezy.

Pebblestone looked at the new warriors, Skysong and Blitzfire. He padded over, and mumbled around his herbs. "Hello, Skysong, Blitzfire, and Silversun," he greeted.
