Kizzy lay stretched out beside the river. It was still swollen from the recent flodd, but not enough to be a threat. She had returned to the forest a few weeks ago after being taken away by her twolegs. Now, as she sat beneath the warm rays of the sun, she thought about what had occured in her absence. Her kits had grown up to apprentices and had joined Stormclan with their father and her mate Eagle skybird. 'Or whatever his new clan name is' she thought irritably. Now she wondered if she would ask the clan if she could join them, to be with her mate and kits, or if she wanted to stay a rogue/loner. She would not want to return to the life of a kittypet, that was deffinently ruled out. But she was not sure if she would like to become a clan cat. Sighing, Kizzy closed her eyes, lost in her own thoughts, wondering what it was she should do. yes, the life of a loner was exaclty that, lonely. She wished she had someone to confide in.

Darkheart crept around near the River, hoping to find a good spot to fish. The tabby rogue growled as he scented Twolegs nearby. Not hearing anything after a few seconds, he stuck his head around the tree he was crouched behind and saw a plump-ish cat not far away. Kittypet! he thought, sneering.
He stalked around the kittypet, padding quietly towards the river, all the while, glancing back with his intense amber gaze to see if the she-cat had spotted him. Probably not, she's sleeping... he quickened his pace, but before he reached the riverbank, about ten foxlengths away, he tripped on a twig and snapped it. "Foxdung!" he hissed under his breath, hoping the kittypet hadn't heard him. He wasn't in much a mood for talking today.

Kizzy's ears twitched slightly. She thought she had heard something, but she was not sure. Straining her ears to catch the slightest sound, she tried to hear if something was near. All she heard was the sounds of the forest, the birds, the river, the wind. With a flick of her tail, she relaxed. It was probably just something in her imagination.

Darkheart let out his breath quietly and bounded towards the river. Settling down beside the river, he crouched down and lifted his head for a moment, looking around for someone to fish with him. After a few seconds, he shook his head. Nope, no one around, really, except for that fat kittypet. Cedar? he called mentally for his best friend. Where are you? The tabby rogue was stricken. He hadn't seen the rogue she-cat for a moon. Worry flashed in his eyes, but he pushed his problem away and concentrated on fishing.

ooc: ok so back to the thread.. Ic:Kizzy felt a presence and opened her eyes to see a cat crouched a few foxlengths away form her. he was content on fishing so he should not be any danger to her. But she coudl at least be friendly. Kizzy causally stood up and padded over ot the strange cat. Sitting donw beside him she meowed in a friendly tone. "hello. It sure is a beautiful day out. Hows the prey running?"

Darkheart whipped his head around. "Who are you? A fat little kittypet looking for something to do?" he meowed in an ill-tempered way. Doesn't this stupid kittypet know not to mess with someone whose concentrating on fishing? He twitched his whiskers and growled softly, then quickly made an effort not to be so mean, but amber eyes flashed dangerously; a warning for her to be careful of what she said. He wouldn't have minded if it was Cedar who had disturbed him, and he was not in a very friendly mood today.

Kizzy was taken aback by the rogues rudeness. She was only trying to be friendly. But he was fishing. Maybe he didnt want to be disturbed. Or maybe mewling about like she was would scare away all the fish. She was about to say more but decided to watch. maybe she could learn something from this cat. kizzy settled down beside him and watched him as he fished.
