Cloudmist growled deep in her throat. She unsheathed her claws and her neck fur started to bristle. She made an effort to not claw out Blackstripe's fur, but her ears remained flattened as she growled, "That does not matter to ShoreClan," her voice was cold. "Have ShoreClan been stealing prey?" she retorted. The StormClan she-cat did not want other cats to think that her Clan was full of thieves.
She heard Twilightsong's, the ShoreClan deputy, voice and stalked a few taillengths away from Blackstripe and sat down. She glared at the gray tom from ShoreClan but didn't say anything.
Swallowsong smiled at Blitzfire and turned to look at Twilightsong. Pebblestone turned to look at the Clan deputy when he spoke. Ripplestream did the same.

Blackstripe let her go with a request to talk to her later before going over to where Swallowsong was. Frowning and thinking he was going to somehow get her in trouble she growled under her breath at him before returning her attention to what everyone else in the group was saying. Much of the conversation centered around Heatherpaw becoming an full fledged Medicine cat, but then it started taking a turn towards a more serious topic about the Clan code. Blossomkit tilted her head curiously and listened, but didn’t feel the need to comment as she was focusing on what everyone was saying. She wondered what had happened since it seemed like EmberClan and StormClan were mad at each other. She was about to ask about it when Twilightsong yowled the meeting to order and she swiveled her head around to pay attention.
"Well... I guess... Cats don't always follow the rules. They do what they think is right, but sometimes its wrong. Like when I stole a StormClan squirrel. I thought I was doing the right thing, getting back at StormClan after Cloudmist stole one of our rabbits. But a warrior from my Clan caught me, and we argued. I really hurt her feelings and that wasn't right. Cats' pride can really lead them astray, and they can convince themselves that they're right, even when they're wrong."
Oakpaw listened with interest as Stormpaw talked. Touching her shoulder gently with his tail in sympathy for how she was feeling, he hoped she realized she wasn’t a horrible cat because of what she’d done. Sure, it was wrong, but she was sorry for it and that at least was better than having done it and not felt sorry about it.
"You're right, Stormpaw. It all goes back to misunderstandings. Then retailiations. you see, one cat interprets the way another cat acts as potentialy dangerous to his or her Clan. Following that misconception they'll often act innapropiatly, then the first cat's Clan will think that they acted without reason because they'll only have one side of the story. Obviously what Strompaw did was agenst Clan code, but it was in retailiation."
Feathermoon spoke up and Oakpaw nodded a little at her words. That did make sense, but he was afraid someone might think doing things in retaliation would be justified based on the offense that caused the cat to seek retaliation. StarClan always seemed to want to find peaceable ways to solve things and not encourage cats to seek revenge for things done wrong to them or their Clan. At least, that was how it seemed to him. To his relief, Stormpaw spoke up and her words closely mirrored his feelings on the subject.
"Yes, but retalliation shouldn't be allowed by the warrior code either. Cats nearly got seriously hurt because me and Heatherpaw were caught stealing. If any cat in my Clan -not matter if they're my friends or not- had been hurt because of my pride, I never would have forgiven myself."
Blinking at how deep her level of conviction was, Oakpaw felt his heart warm towards her. She will make a great Warrior one day. He thought to himself as he watched her. Feathermoon started to say something, but a yowl from Twilightsong cut her off and everyone turned to pay attention to him. Taking the moment, he leaned over and whispered in her ear so only she could hear. “I think you’ll be a great Warrior one day Stormpaw because you DO care, and that’s what being a Warrior is about.” He gave her a warm smile before turning his attention to where Twilightsong had finished talking just as a low rumble of thunder murmured across the sky. Scarletstar leaped up to join him and Oakpaw hoped they got moving soon as he didn’t want to get wet, though a part of him regretted their conversation would probably go unfinished and wished they’d had a bit more time to talk. Maybe once they got to Korkea Maa…
"Yup, he finished whatever it was that he left to do. He never talks about why he left, though. It's odd that both Blazestar and Flameheart aren't here. How is EmberClan getting on without them?"
Cinnamonstreak nodded at Nightfrost spoke, deliberately ignoring Cloudmist’s (and a few other StormClan Warrior’s) nasty looks in EmberClan’s direction. If he paid attention to it, he’d want to give a few cats an “attitude adjustment” and Stonestream and Heatherpaw’s warning about not starting fights was weighing heavily in his mind. He hated the arrogant attitude StormClan was dishing out to his Clan, especially with Blazestar and Flameheart being gone, but he wasn’t about to disgrace EmberClan by picking a fight at Fourtrees.
Nightfrost however wasn’t helping at all since his next words were to point out Blazestar and Flameheart weren’t at the meeting. To say that Nightfrost had hit a sore spot would have been an understatement. “Why the heck does everyone keep asking about them?!” He snapped angrily as he rose to his paws bristling. Everyone KNOWS they’re on a mission from StarClan! Or do you think we’re an inferior Clan too because they aren’t here?!” He spit out as he glared at Nightfrost. He was sick of StormClan flaunting that attitude and to hear it from a ShoreClan warrior was almost too much. Who was next? Hawkstar?!
Cinnamonstreak could feel himself getting worked up and knew he had to keep a lid on his temper, but if he stayed here, he was probably going to say some things he shouldn’t. As Twilightsong yowled for the meeting to start, he growled in frustration at himself for having lost his temper and everything... At how wrong things were going for his Clan and how powerless he felt to change it. Relieved that the conversation couldn’t continue, and fed up with talking to anyone at the moment anyways, he stalked off a couple of tail lengths and sat down with his spine stiff. His tail lashed from side to side showing he wanted to be left alone. He was rather upset at himself for yelling at Nightfrost like he had, but he could fix that later once he calmed down.
Twilightsong nodded as Scarletstar leapt up beside him and said all of StormClan was accounted for. Stepping back a few paces, he took a seat as he was still representing ShoreClan, at least until Midnightstar leaped up there. Hoping they’d get underway soon, he scanned the crowd again quietly and wondered who would step up to lead EmberClan with Blazestar and Flameheart being gone. Currently it appeared Stonestream was in charge, but she was a Medicine cat and he doubted any cat could be both a Medicine cat and a Leader. That has to be exhausting… He thought to himself as he took a moment to ask StarClan to hurry and send Blazestar and Flameheart back and to show Stonestream what to do in the meantime. (not much for him to do…)

Blackstripewas ready to acttck Cloudmist but held in his anger as well. He trotted switly to Swallosong's side and flicked his tail to Cloudmist in a warning not to fight. He glance over to his sister who yowled in respones to Scarletstar.
Shadowjumper stood up to call to Scarletstar after looking abd counting Emberclan.''I belive all of Emberclan is here'' Shadowjumper called to the leader and deputy. Hoping Stonestream won't kill her for it she just wanted the meeting to be over with and done. She looked over to Blackstirpe and gave him a evil glance. There clan is doing so well just happy go lucky cats. While Stormclan and Emberclan are at war breach. She hissed to herself then sat down curling her tail around her kit and worried about the jounery. OOC; was that ok? I'll fix it if it's not*grins and gives cookie to anyone*
Lillypaw raced over to Lightstream and Owlclaw to sit by her mentor. Energy racing in her veins. When she saw a Embrclan queen call to the meeting she was shocked. But put it out of her head and looked around for fellow apperinces.
Snakebite took a sit next to Blackstripe and watching his sister give a evil glance. He looked over to the rest of Shoreclan double cheacking Twilightsong.Everyone is here besides SeaspiritSnakebite said to himself he was worried about his mate. Hoping she was on her way.OOC:Shory I know

Heatherpaw listened intently to the exchange of words over what was right or wrong. Reminding me that I have a whole lot left to learn, and won't learn it anytime soon if I start acting high and mighty because I'm a medicine cat apprentice. When Twilightsong called the meeting to order, she listened to the reports, debating whether or not to speak up and call out for EmberClan's prescence. With a glance at Stonestream, she decided now would probably be a good time to take charge. She sprung up the rock to stand next to the other leaders, hardly self-conscious. Listening to Shadowjumper, she nodded. "EmberClan is present and accounted for." Medicine cats having to fill in for leaders... ridiculous!
Songheart stood and moved to a spot closer to the rock on which the leaders announced. She listened to the cats speak, proud then that she was the deputy, and willing to do whatever was needed to uphold the warrior code. Even if it means letting the prey stealing go... Songheart's heart protested to that, but she just listened to the leaders.
Windpaw grinned, glad to have set a lighter mood. She wasn't usually one to listen to talks about upholding the warrior code, being a kitlike apprentice with a short attention span, but she didn't interrupt the others out of respect for her new friends. When Heatherpaw left to stand on top of the stone, she sat down, curling her brown tail around herself. Her whiskers twitched with excitement.
Jetmoon nodded, grinning happily. He didn't feel in a very talkative mood, but he still listened to the talk of the other cats, and still sat next to Pebblestone. Attention on the leaders, he listened interestedly. So, Heatherpaw is having to fill in for the Clan representatives...
Freewind listened, looking up at the leaders. She was more interested in the Clan rivalries, but didn't bring it up as she moved closer to the other cats, sitting down and curling her tail around herself.

Stormpaw shuffled her paws in embarasment at Oakpaw's praise."Thank you," she murmured. "I'm sure you'll make a great warrior, too. You have some really good ideas." At that moment, the meeting started. Stormpaw sighed with relief. It was time to get moving! Thunder growled in the distance and she jumped. Recovering, she licked her paw self-conciously. She was really worried about the coming storm, and was sure that other cats were, too.
Snowveil looked up as Twilightsong called the meting to order. Finally, it's starting! I thought we'd sit here forever! She saw a flash of grey fur out of the corner of her eye, and noticed Stormpaw sitting in a group of apprentices. A group, she was displeased to see, that contained Oakpaw as well. Stormpaw better not be rude to him! She flexed her claws and shifted slightly, to get a better view of the grey EmberClan cat. I'll be ready if she tries anything, she thought darkly.

ooc- this is before the suicide post. x3 WOW this post gets longer every second!!!
Rosedawn knew she had to face Stormpaw and Heatherpaw sometime soon. Instead she padded over to Snowveil. "Hello." she said quietly, ignoring every EmberClan apprentice, a bit afraid Stormpaw or Heatherpaw might have told them about the quarrel... What was worse, she couldn't make a converstation with ANYONE!!! Rosedawn sat by Snowveil, not looking at anyone else as the meetings was about to begin.
Robinfeather looked for Wolffeather, hermate, and her friend Forestwind. Get on with the meeting! She tohught. Finally it started. "Isn't anyone I know here?" she meowed. Robinfeather knew Hawkstar was here and stuff, but her mate or Forestwind wasn't here. "They'll miss the meeting..." (no this is NOT critizizing) Robnfeather muttered. She looked around and spotted Jetmoon, Forestwinds mate. Not knowing who else friendly enough to sit by, she relucantly sat down by Jetmoon, silent.
ooc- I can't think of anything to say with Shadowclaw.

Snowveil watched with interest as Rosedawn came to sit beside her. She seemed very ill-at-ease back there, she thought. That's odd. Why wouldn't she be comfortable with members of her own Clan? Is it something to do with the apprentices stealing prey? I heard that Rosedawn was there both times... The white warrior turned to face the pretty EmberClan she-cat. "Are you all right? You don't seem very comfortable here."
Stormpaw sadly watched rosedawn leave to sit by Snowveil. She seems so unhappy. We convinced that she shouldn't try to die, but she has no joy in her life now. She knew she should call the warrior back, say something, start a conversation... Anything to let her know that Stormpaw wasn't angry with her. But the words wouldn't come.

Stonestream glanced up at Shadowjumper and narrowed his eyes slightly, but did not protest. Heatherpaw spoke up for EmberClan and the medicine cat nodded, thinking if his apprentice did not think anything was wrong for an ordinary warrior, not even a senior warrior at that, could take the leader's place temporarily, it was okay. Anyways, it didn't really matter to him.
Raising his voice, the older EmberClan medicine cat suggested. "Perhaps the Clans should travel together? But in small groups...I'm thinking that at least two of the cats from the scouting party should join each group so they know where the 'safe' places are," he held the leaders' gazes steadily. No reason he couldn't stare at them challengingly as he was a medicine cat, but he knew not even a medicine cat should be disrespectful.

Nightfrost recoiled as Cinnamonstreak exploded. He had only asked how the Clan was doing, he never suggested that EmberClan was infearior because of it. "I never said th-" Nightfrost was cut off when Twilightsong called the meeting. After that. Nightfrost couldn't talk to Cinnamonstreak even if he wanted to beacuse the blazing red cat walked away. Nightfrost hoped that he didn't offend Cinnamonstreak to much, he didn't want to have an enemy.

Shadowjumper felt Stonestream's glare but didn't fell treated. She was more worried about the jornery then anything else.Cloud I make it with kits? She said to herself with a little anger. She was scwoling Brightdfire under her breath for not being here. When she finally got the guts to look over at her brother she felt his worry as well. He just is trying to be strong for his clan She said to herself again. When she turned away she saw another queen from Forestclan.

"I'm fine," Rosedawn muttered to Snowveil. She couldn't get anything off her heart, and she told two apprentices to get it of their hearts? Ha! Rosedawn stared at Heatherpaw, guilt building inside her. Mousebrain, it was just an argument... but was it? Heatherpaw had spoke and Rosedawn decided to stop glaring and acting like a sourpuss to them. "Stormpaw-" Rosedawn began walking over to the apprentice but stopped. She sighed and dipped her head to Snowveil in farewell than caught up to Shadowjumper.

Shaodwjumper waited and moved over a bit for Rosedawn to sit next to her. She flicked her tail over her foster sister's shoulder.''Whats wrong? Rosedawn'' Shadowjumper asked her fellow Emberclan warrior. Beofore turning and begen waiting for the meeting to end.

Feathermoon directed a frosty glare to Shadowjumper and Rosedawn. Apparently the apprentices knew when to shut up, it was the warriors taht needed to learn. When she was sure that they had seen her, she turned pintedly back to the front. Feathermoon hoped that they got the message and she wouldn't have to turn around again and tell them to be quiet.

Talonpaw bounded over to Windpaw and sat. "Hello, Windpaw," he greeted, not noticing Feathermoon. He was hyper and jumpy today, and just coludn't shut up. The young tom glanced up at the leaders -or at least the cats who were leading them- were talking. Talonpaw shivered darkly. EmberClan was led by a... fair looking medicine cat, but... Where was their leader? This is boring.he thought, dying of boredom. Gatherings... why did I even plead to go anyway?
Snowleaf was at the back of the crowd, listening intently as the cats on top of the rock spoke. She sat in the back by herself, tired and strained. She was the opposite of jumpy, she was so tired and didn't know why. "At least Stormpaw isn't mad at me," she mewed quietly, notcing the grudge the apprentice, stormpaw, and Heatherpaw, still had against Rosedawn. Snowleaf sighed and went to Stormpaw, bumping nto Cinnamonstreak as she passed. "Ooops." she muttered, not looking at the rather headstrong warrior. She sat by Stormpaw, mewing a formal greeting.
Frostgaze glanced up toward Scarletstar and Songheart, his leaders. They were actually cats wh watched their mouths and heads. He glared at the EmberClan cats. Any cat set a pawstep over my clan's borders... will not live to get back to the other side. he thought, his unspoken threat echoed in his mind. Frostgaze settled more comfortably in his spot. "Long Gatherings..." he muttered.

Blossomkit stayed where she was while looking interestedly around. So this was what independence tasted like! YUM! Rather enjoying a break from Swallowsong, she was in no hurry to leave the group she was hanging out with and had already decided once they got moving, if they stayed together, she was traveling with them. Grinning, she proudly sat next to Windpaw and listened as the leaders made sure everyone in their Clans were there while some thunder boomed off in the distance.
"Thank you," she murmured. "I'm sure you'll make a great warrior, too. You have some really good ideas."
Oakpaw blushed under his fur and looked at his paws as Stormpaw thanked him. He didn’t know why, but it really mattered to him that for a moment in time, he’d been able to cheer her up. She jumped when the thunder rolled and it made Oakpaw twitch a bit too. As Stormpaw licked a paw to cover up her mistake, he had to make himself not stare at her. Geez, what was his problem anyways?!
He managed to make himself pay attention long enough to see Shadowjumper answer for EmberClan and get a look from Stonestream that said that wasn’t her place to do that. He smiled faintly, imagining what it had to be like for a Medicine cat to keep a Clan in line. Good thing StarClan didn’t mean for Medicine cats to be leaders too! I think they’d all quit! He joked to himself. Looking over at Stormpaw, he followed her eyes and saw that she was still sad about the problem between her and Rosedawn. He briefly thought ill of Rosedawn, but then let it go. Maybe Rosedawn was just as upset and didn’t know what to do either?
He turned around as Heatherpaw leaped atop the rock to fill in for Blazestar while Stonestream also spoke up for EmberClan. Yikes, what a mess. Looking back at Stormpaw, he gently touched her shoulder with his tail as one of the older Warriors shot Rosedawn and the other cats a look that obviously said “shut up”. Lowering his voice so only she could hear, he whispered into her ear. “Hey, why don’t we talk a bit later? I’m willing to bet Rosedawn feels the same way you do and if you want, I can go with you to talk to her later.” He said, wanting her to feel better. He didn’t like to see his friends hurting.
Cinnamonstreak paid no real attention to the proceedings around him. He listened, sure, but didn’t do anything. Though he did notice EmberClan did seem to be falling apart. His bad mood was soon dwarfed by sadness and he wished he could do something, but he wasn’t the leader. He wasn’t even close to Deputy. It upset him to see EmberClan in trouble and while Heatherpaw was atop the rock to represent the Clan, he knew it wasn’t right. They needed Blazestar and Flameheart back. Or for StarClan to show who they wanted to lead in their place… though that would mean the former leader and deputy wouldn’t be returning…
He was knocked out of his thinking by Snowleaf, who barely muttered an apology before sitting next to Stormpaw. Hissing faintly at her, he was too wrapped up in realizing the mess EmberClan was in to really be mad about anything at the moment. StarClan, do something! He pleaded silently as his eyes watched some lightning flash in the distance.
Twilightsong nodded as Heatherpaw joined them on the rock to represent EmberClan. His eyes scanned the crowd and landed on his apprentice Talonpaw, who was looking rather bored. Frowning slightly, he kept it off his face, but mentally told himself to pull his Apprentice aside later. He’d not been able to spend much time with him thanks to the weather, but once they got to Korkea Maa, Twi planned on changing that. Seeing Hawkstar, he looked over at the female and nodded to her, waiting for her to join them so they could get underway.
((where is Midnightstar? *goes to PM Tilly*))
