Blueshade padded through the silent forest. No bird chirpped, not even the scuttle of tiny insects on the forest floor. He opended his mouth slightly, letting the aroma of the forest into his scent glands, and there! The tangy scent of rabbit hit the roof of his mouth. He walked carefully a few more paw steps then sprang! The rabbit easily jumped out of reach, and vanished down the hole of a burrow. Cursing under his breath, he sniffed the air once more, but nothing came to him yet. This was the start of a really fusturating day.

Frostflash prowled around a rock, senses alert for prey. There must be a mouse around here somewhere... She saw a flash of grey fur in the forest, and recognized Blueshade. The deputy snuck towards him, paws whispering over the grass. I don't want to scare any prey. When she was a suitable distance away, she cleared her throat to announce her presence. "Hi, Blueshade."

Blueshade turned around. His frustration was replaced with a smile when he saw the deputy. "Hi Frostflash," he dipped his head respectfully to the EmberClan deputy, "prey is defiantly scarce today." He opened his mouth once more, but still no scent of prey was on the breeze.

Rosedawn emerged from preyrocks, yawning. "Hey, have you seen Dewpaw? she was supposed to go hunting with me." her voice was half wistful and the senior warrior dipped her head to Frostflash. flicking her tail she added pointedly, "Apprenitces are absent minded..."

Blueshade swivled his head toward Rosedawn. "No, i haven't seen her." He replied to her

"Me neither," Frostflash said. "I think she might have gone somewhere with Stormpaw..." she wasn't really sure, so she trailed off, trying to remember where she had seen the apprentice last. "Sorry," the deputy said, grinning weakly. A flash of brown caught her eyes: a vole, sniffing around under a fern. The grey she-cat took two steps forward, moving as silently as she could, and leaped for the vole. She just missed it, slamming her paws down on bare soil and watching in anger as a pink tail whisked out of sight. "Mouse dung! I should have had that."

Blueshade grinned. "It looks like the prey is smarter then us!" He held back a laugh but only managed to snort in the effort. Well that was stupid! Make a fool of yourself infront of the deputy! He thought to himself. He suddenly saw a rabbit leap in front of him. He sprang chasing the rabbit, and caught him. Finally! He thought. He dropped the rabbit at her paws triumphantly. "Not bad eh?" He asked her.

Frostflash grinned, nodding in approval. "Not bad at all." She smiled at him briefly, then winced as she realized that her grey pelt was stained with moss and mud from her missed pounce. "Oops..." She took a few steps away, twitching her tail nervously, and began to groom the mud off her paws.

Blueshade watched her clean, "You'll catch something soon." He told her. He jumped when a twig snapped. Turned out, he steped on the twig. This streak of embarassing momments just won't end! he thought to himself. He gave her a sheepish smile, hoping his embarassment wouldn't show.

Frostflash snorted as Blueshade stepped on a twig. "Not with the noise you're making, I won't." She grinned to show that she was teasing. A bird called from a tree, and Frostflash flicked an ear. Not, it was too far away for her to get. She inhaled deeply, trying to scent some prey. She could smell squirrel, but couldn't tell how far away it was. Frostflash began to creep towards the bush that she thought the squirrel was hiding in, her blue eyes studying it intently. If I don't catch this, I'll be a laughingstock!

Blueshade noticed that teasing glint in her eyes and scoffed her ear. "Very funny." He said sarcastically. He stood statue still as she noticed the squirrel. No way would he scare away a deputy's prey, especially the EmberClan deputy, Frostflash.

Frostflash's tail was flicking back and forth as she concentrated, with every fiber of her being, on the squirrel. With a flash of silvery fur, the deputy leaped into the air. She landed on the terrified squirrel, ending its life with a quick bite to the neck. She looked up, grinning hugely with bloody teeth. "Yes! Finally!" She let out a crow of triumph. "Thanks for being quiet," she added, grinning shyly at Blueshade.

"No problem," he paused and added,"Nice moves too." He looked at his rabbit and her squirel. we're going to need more prey He thought to himself. He spotted a finch pecking at some seeds on the forest floor.Better make this more impessive this time He crouched infront of the bird and sprang. The bird was airborn, but he jumped and caught it in the air, killing it with one swift bite to the neck. It was a little skinny, but it would do. "We're on a roll now." He told her. He smiled at her. He looked away shyly, and changed the subject. "Have you ever caught a crow?" He looked at her mischeveously.
OOC: Do you want them to be mates? It's ok if you say no.

ooc- I don't know...
Frostflash hung her head. "No, I haven't." Her violet eyes flashed with mischief as she added, "There's always a first time, though!" The grey deputy lifted her head, scenting for a crow. She couldn't smell any, but that might have been because of the squirrel's blood still coating her muzzle. She licked some of it off, wincing at the coppery taste. "I don't see any..."

OOC: Ok
Blueshade looked past the trees on to the horizon. A noise made him jump, but there was nothing there. Lostclaw? Na, it couldn't be her, she's... He shook the memory away, and focused. There! a crow! "I see one over there." He meowed lowly, nodding at the crow. "Here's your chance." He was silent hoping the crow wouldn't hear him.
