Songheart padded through the forest, her ears perked and her senses alert. She relaxed a little; there wasn't so much going on right now that she should be like that. The EmberClan cats had been stealing food, so the StormClan deputy was wary of the impending sense that they could be in StormClan territory, taking food, and she wouldn't know about it. Still, she felt it would be better not to take any risks for the sake of being overrelaxed. Looking around, she spotted the dry streambed close by.
Padding over to its sandy banks, she looked upon the silt left behind by the coursing stream that had disappeared moons ago. She had trained here as an apprentice. Fond memories of those days that were now long gone came into her mind. Training with her mentor, hunting, the peaceful days when one didn't have to worry about if a rival cat from a different Clan was going to appear out from behind a tree and rip your fur off. Songheart sighed, the memories fading.
Hearing some scuffling, she dropped into the hunters' crouch, opening her mouth to scent the prey that hid in the brush just beyond her sight. Almost immediately, the scent of a mouse entered her nose, and she began to creep forwards. Pawstep by pawstep, she approached the rodent, ready to spring at any moment. It came into sight, chewing on a seed on the ground. Songheart pounced, kicking off from the streambed's floor.
Sinking her teeth into it, she scratched the earth away from a hole in the ground and placed the corpse of the mouse in it. Scratching the soil back over it, she took a couple of steps back and began grooming her fur.

Rainypaw followed closely behind Songheart. The streambed was a familiar place which was comforting to Rainypaw but for some reason she felt uncomfortable. Memories that were'nt hers seemed to rush around in her head but she fought them off. A chickadee flew overhead, she always noted when a bird was nearby. She stared blankly for a second at the bird until it faded into the sky. She walked over to songheart who was still grooming. Rainypaw noted the mouse she had caught. "Hello Songheart" she said. She rolled over once or twice to lighten up the mood considering there was bored tired atmospere all around them.

Oakpaw wasn't training specifically with Songheart today, but he was still infatuated with her in the sense he thought she was the BEST EVER at anything and everything. Ok, maybe not everything. Scarletstar was leader so she had to be a little better than Songheart, but Songheart was DEPUTY so that made her second best.
Nodding to himself at a job welldone, he happily kicked up his heels and followed Songheart's trail out of camp. He'd finished changing the bedding in the Warrior's den and was all too eager to sharp his hunting skills further. He scented Rainypaw was with Songheart and grinned. The female Apprentice was laid back like his sister, but easy to get along with. He looked forward to catching up to both of them.
He arrived in time to see Songheart had buried a piece of freshkill and was grooming herself while Rainypaw was rolling around a few times. "Hey Songheart! Hi Rainypaw!" He chirped happily with a grin as he raced over to playtackle Rainypaw. "Are we gonna go on a hunting lesson Songheart?" He asked eagerly as he playbowed to Rainypaw and danced around eagerly. He was keyed up and full of energy.

Songheart looked down; by her paws, there was a small, smooth pebble that glittered when the morning light touched it. Even though the sun was out for now, it was partly cloudy, so the day remained dreary as it had been before. Snorting in dismay, the StormClan deputy knew that the streambed was as dry as it had always been even though the moisture in the air condensed on the leaves around her. Sinking her claws into the sand, it cleaned off pretty much everything caught on them. Scenting another cat, she looked up at Rainypaw as the apprentice approached.
"Hello," Songheart returned Rainypaw's greeting, dipping her head. Smiling at the apprentice's antics, she thought of her own apprentice, Oakpaw. Thinking of him, he entered the streambed's vicinity, and Songheart meowed a warm greeting to the young tomcat. Watching, she wondered if the apprentices would play-scuffle, when Oakpaw asked her a question. "I'm not sure yet, but we might."
((She can dual-train Oakpaw and Rainypaw for now if it's okay with you two ^.^))
