The black loner slowed at the boarder to the territory and crossed carefully. He didnt want to be attacked because he knew he couldnt defend himself, not when he had important information for the clan. He ventured further into the territory hoping to find a patrol to pass his message to.

Shadowfire had been out hunting when he smelled a strange scent. Warily padding forards, he faced the loner and mewed coolly, "What are you doing here?" He hadn't gotten over the loss of losing Cloudmist yet, and he wanted nothing more than to mindlessly hunt for the day.

Shadowfire's ears pricked forwards. any information about the foxes could lead to finding out where his friend was. "What is it?" he mewed, with barely supressed excitement.

"The foxes are keeping a cat from each clan as hostages in the caves on unowned territory. There are at least six foxes there planning to torture the cats." He replied

Shadowfire froze. Torture? He remembered his manners just in time. "Thank you," he mewed graciously, and dipped his head to the black loner. Backing away slowly, he mewed, "I must go and round up a patrol. Goodbye." He turned around slowly and dashed back to camp.

As he dashed through the forest, he thought about what the loner had said. Carefully. I don't even know his name, but now I'm running all over the forest because of what he said, he thought with a jolt. Gritting his teeth, he muttered, "He'd better be right."[/size]
