Clan Information
1. Clan hierarchy is as follows, in decreasing order of authority:
Leaders
Deputies and Medicine Cats
Senior Warriors
Warriors/Queens
Apprentices
Kits
You need to follow this. If a character with more authority than yours tells your character to do something reasonable, you need to listen to them. Don't argue with unnecessary reasons.
2. Mentorship decisions are made by the Clan leader. This is rule is in place for several reasons. Leaders know things about the warriors in their clan...which cat is rped by which member, which warriors haven't had the opportunity to mentor an apprentice before, which members haven't ever rped a mentor/apprentice relationship, how long specific cats have been warriors, etc.
3. If your apprentice character does not have a mentor, pm the leader of the apprentice's clan to request that they assign one.
4. If your kit character is overdue to become an apprentice, pm the leader of the kit's clan. The leader will assign your character a mentor during the ceremony. Please be patient as leaders need to figure out a few things prior to the ceremony.
Naming Your Cat
1. The first part of all character names must start with an adjective or a noun, like Green or Rose. Occasionally, the leader of their Clans may change cats' names. This would only happen because of something very important the cat has done, or something that has greatly changed the cat in appearance. This doesn't happen often, and there are absolutely no exceptions to the rules about names.
2. The ends of names vary based on your character's rank:
Leaders: Must end with star.
Deputies/Medicine Cats: Same as for warriors.
Warriors: Must end with another, different noun like foot, dream, or wind.
Apprentices: Must end with paw.
Kits: Must end with kit.
Rogues/Loners/Kittypets: Names can be anything. They don't even need to have a noun or two parts.
3. Due to many cats having the same noun or adjective in their name, we no longer allow new cats to share the first part of their name with an existing character. Please read the First Names List or check the current Ranks thread if you'd like to know if a name is free.
