The lean StormClan warrior padded slowly over to the Ferns, smelling faintly of mouse, though the one he had just eaten had barely fulfilled his hunger. You're always hungry, Adderfang. He told himself promptly, ignoring the whining his belly was making. Groaning, he sprawled out on the soft ground of the Ferns and began to stare at the cloudless sky blankly. [/blockquote]

ooc - SORRY I haven't replied sooner!
Cloudmist padded into the Ferns with a small squirrel in her jaws. She quietly set it down and lay down, deciding to rest for a little while. A familiar scent hit her nose and she saw Adderfang nearby, half hidden by the shadows and plants around him. "Hey, Adderfang!" the tortoiseshell she-cat called softly over. She hadn't been exactly fond of the brown warrior, but recently she found herself warming up to him.

OOC] Thats okay. Adderfang jumped to his paws, spotting Cloudmist. Oh, StarClan, why does it have to be her? He didn't know what had gotten in himself lately. The tom had been wondering why he had gotten so suddenly . . . awkward around the tortoiseshell warrior. "Hi, Cloudmist!" he meowed with all the eagerness he could "muster." [/blockquote] OOC] Hmm, Adder is a bit edgy.

Cloudmist twitched her tail tip slightly, "How are you today?" She gave him a half smile that seemed more like a grimace. Great StarClan, I'm only trying to be friendly! You don't have to seem so...unfriendly! The she-cat padded over, clutching her prey between her jaws. She set down the squirrel and sat down beside her Clan mate, not quite knowing what to say to him at the moment.

The mottled brown tom blinked. "Fine, you?" Adderfang tried to return Cloudmist's half-smile, hoping it wouldn't look as bad as hers. Whatever, mousebrain. Don't act like a double-mousebrain. He was speaking gibberish to himself, and pretended that the clouds were unusually amazing. [/blockquote]

Cloudmist's whiskers twitched, Wellll...this was going great! "Oh!" her ears hardly heard Adderfang's reply, "Right, um, I'm alright," she prodded her squirrel, "There's lots of prey around now and the Clan is doing quite well." She followed his gaze into the clouds and mewed, with a slight edge to her voice, "What's so interesting about the clouds?" An innocent, yet sly smile appeared on her face.

"Oh, er, the clouds!" he spluttered out confusedly. "Uh . . . " Adderfang desperately hoped the Cloud Fairies had come, leaving like, a smiley face in the sky. Nope, no such luck. "Um. Wellllllll, I think . . . that one looks like a dead squirrel?" he tried vainly, pointing at a disfigured cloud. [/blockquote]

ooc - O...M...G... SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SORRY!!!!!!!!!
A half amused, half what's-up-with-you look appeared on the tortoiseshell's face. "Okaaay, then," Cloudmist meowed and shrugged half heartedly, "I guess I'll leave you to it then?" She turned and started slowly walking away, but secretly, deep down in her heart, she didn't want to leave Adderfang and his clouds. What was wrong with her? This cat was rude and didn't seem to enjoy her company anyways, and yet...she felt a strange tug, urging her to stop and walk back to Adderfang. Deep, deep, deep, deep...very deep down she wished her Clanmate would call her back... Like that would ever happen, mousebrain!
