A massive brown and gold tabby padded towards the dry streambed. Though he may have been a newcomer to StormClan, there wasn't a doubt in his mind that the newleaf would bring plentiful hunting, and he did know where the dry streambed was. So, out he set from camp, headed towards the dried sand weaving through the forest floor. For his size, he was very graceful, his paws not shuffling the undergrowth at all. This he took pride in, for there were not many Maine coons, much less ones that used to be kittypets, who had a knack for such things as much has he did.
Eagleflight paced along the streambed silently, golden eyes on the lookout for prospective prey to contribute to the fresh-kill pile. The easygoing tom had no objections to providing for the Clan; what better way to prove loyalty? And there could be no doubt in his mind that he was now loyal to StormClan. His son and daughter resided in the Clan, and now it was basically his family. Sometimes he wondered about the Twolegs he used to live with, but found that he didn't miss the elderly lady too much, and she had probably replaced him by now anyways.
That thought drove him a little harder towards seeking out prey; the fact that he had once been content to stay with the elderly lady made him feel lazier than ever. He had, of course, never been allowed to get fat. He was taken to many places where the Twolegs put him in a kennel and put him on tables and the like, and sometimes he came home with fancy ribbons around his neck. Life was simple then, but had gained a sheerer complexity since those days. It now had a volume, and a purpose.
Of course, he found it a little bit less easy to devote himself to the cause of StarClan since he had never seen them and honestly believed them to be more of a metaphor than anything else, but kept up the image that he did for the sake of his kits. Prowling along the streambed, he spotted a bit of movement that indicated a bird, pecking at the bed where the pecans from the overhead tree fell. The tip of his fluffy tail barely twitching, he made it almost to the robin before a rustling of nearby brush startled it. Jumping, he flung his weight towards it and clipped its outspread wing with one paw in time to push it down with the other, knocking it stunned to the ground. Finishing it off quickly, he turned to see what had made the noise in the brush.

Cloudmist stepped out of the undergrowth and smiled at the new member of StormClan, her green eyes slightly apologetic as she glimpsed the dead robin at Eagleflight's paws. She was looking for prey as well, but on the way, the tortoiseshell she-cat had started tracking the former loner to see how he hunted. Not that she had any doubts, but she decided it was a good thing to see how he hunted anyways. "Good to see you, Eagleflight," she meowed, "And I'm sorry I startled the robin. I was just out hunting as well a-and I didn't know you were here." Hopefully, he wouldn't be able to tell she was fibbing.

Watching who came out of the undergrowth, Eagleflight relaxed a little when he spotted Cloudmist. "Greetings, Cloudmist, good to see you too," he purred quietly. "No worries, I still caught the robin." Given that he didn't know she'd been following him, and even if he had that he wouldn't really have minded, he didn't give any sign that he suspected her of tracking and watching him. "Would you like to join the hunting patrol?" The big tabby grinned.

(*throws Oakleaf in*)
After being named a Warrior, Oakleaf had floated on a cloud for days. However there was still chores to be done and now that he was a warrior, he was expected to contribute his fair share, which he did gladly.
This morning it was hunting and Oakleaf had eagerly set out from camp. He'd caught and returned a squirrel to camp already before picking up his dad and foster mom's scent. Quickly scampering after them, he caught up with them shortly after his dad caught a robin.
"Hi dad! Hi mom!" He mewed excitedly. "Mind if I hunt with you guys?" His youthful excitement at being a warrior was still fresh, but Oakleaf was a good hunter thanks to Songheart's great training. He still somewhat idolized the Deputy, but at least he wasn't following her around like he did as an Apprentice. Now he was starting to spend more time with the other warriors and his dad.

Shadowfire padded silently along the Streambed, following the sound of chattering cats. He really should have been using his nose, however, because if he had, he wouldn't have run into Cloudmist. He blinked once, hurriedly masking his surprise, and then grinned jovially. "Hey, Eagleflight, Oakheart, Cloudmist!" he mewed, nodding to each of them in turn. "Is it all right if I hunt here you?" His amber eyes twinkled mischievously. "I promise to be a good little tom and not snatch all the prey," he meowed, whiskers twitching. His jet-black ears swiveled back and forth, pinpointing his prospective prey.

Cloudmist looked up to see her son padding towards her and Eagleflight, she smiled warmly and padded up and rasped her tongue over Oakleaf's ear in greeting. "Of course you can come," she meowed, glancing at the big tabby tom. After all, Oakleaf was his son as well. She scented another cat coming towards them and saw black fur in the bushes. Her whiskers twitched for a moment and she waved her tail in greeting, "Hi, Shadowfire!" Her green eyes turned back to Eagleflight again.
