"Are you all right?" Hazeltear called, as she nimbly avoided the fox's slashing claws. Taut muscles tensed under her tortoiseshell fur as she sprang off of the fox, and slashed at its chest - the very same spot where it had been slashed by Pantherclaw, before it had shaken him off. Her lips curved into a grimace as she felt her claws ripping into its flesh. and heard it shriek in pain. "I'd guess it's nearly dead," she mewed, turning to Pantherclaw - and was caught by a blow to the head. "Never mind, then," she hissed, as she rolled to the side and sprang to her paws. Screeching angrily, she lunged at the fox, and lashed out savagely at its eyes. It was an underhanded trick, one that she'd never use on a cat, but she had no choice. It was kill or be killed.

"I'm okay!" called Pantherclaw, and got back to his paws.
Pantherclaw shook off the blood on his paw, and leaped back into the fierce battle. He got hold of the fox's hind leg, and clamped down hard on the flesh. The fox began howling and shaking even more wildly, and began slashing at Pantherclaw and Hazeltear. He nearly got a hold on Pantherclaw a gain, but Pantherclaw hopped off, and landed on the fox's head. He slashed it up along with Hazeltear.

Hazeltear could see by now that the fox's strength was definitely flagging. She scored her claws along its face again and again, until blood began to well up out of the fox's eyes. Blinded, it thrashed and howled more than ever, but was no longer able to defend against the cats' relentless onslaught. Satisfied, she turned to Pantherclaw, neatly skipping out of the way so that she wouldn't be gored by a bloody claw. "I'll leave you to it, then - I'll go looking for the kits."
The tortoiseshell she-cat turned, and headed deeper into the fox's den. She disliked being inside of it - fighting inside of it would be hard, as there was little room to maneuver. However, the cramped space also meant that she would be able to face the kits one by one, which would be extremely helpful if there were more than two. She bit back a snarl as she saw a coppery-orange muzzle round the corner, followed by another. The element of surprise would be useful here - if the kits knew she was there, they would know not to come out. Her pale green eyes bored into a fox kit's amber ones, as she plotted her next course of action. She wouldn't kill it, but since the kits looked old enough to do a fair bit of damage, they'd have to be chased off. Her green eyes flickered as she waved her tail. "Over here, mousebrain," she hissed softly.

Pantherclaw grunted in reply, and hopped off the yowling fox to regain his strength quickly. His paw was now really bloody from the open gash on his pad, and the pain finally reached his brain. It took all Pantherclaw had to keep on his paws and not flop onto his side! Then he noticed the fox running to her den after Hazeltear disappeared inside.
"Oh no you don't!" yowled Pantherclaw, and barreled into the fox before she could enter the cavern.
They rolled in the dirt for a while before Pantherclaw was able to pin the fox to the floor. She was panting very hard, and looked utterly weak from the brawl. Slowly it stopped struggling, almost lifeless, and blood gorging from her face. Pantherclaw took one last look at the fox's face and put it out of it's misery with one quick and deadly claw to the throat. The fox had a spasm roll her body for a while, then slowly stopped as death wrapped it's cold fingers around her. Pantherclaw then remembered Hazeltear, and began tearing to the entrance, but then stopped.
Hazeltear's a strong warrior, she can handle it, I'll help only if she calls for it
He then rested at the front of the cavern entrance, and began licking his paw quickly to stop the bleeding and clean the wound from infection.

Hazeltear's eyes glinted wildly as she watched the fox kits regard her curiously, and fled as they barreled after her. StarClan, help me, she thought, though not in fear, as she streaked out of the den. She took a brief moment to glance at the dead fox, and then turned back to the kits. Good - the mother is dead, she thought. It'll make things so much easier. She unsheathed her claws once more, hissing dangerously at the kits. They now looked uncertain, and prowled around their mother's corpse, mewling with fright. "We just need to scare them off - not kill them," she mewed to Pantherclaw, her eyes still watching the young foxes.

Pantherclaw lifted to his paws when he saw Hazeltear run out of the fox's den, with the fox's kits hot on her heels. His paw's pad had a deep gouge in it, and he couldn't stop the bleeding, so he flinched a little as he got up.
"We just need to scare them off - not kill them,"
Pantherclaw nodded to her, then took his amber gaze to the little kits.
"Okay, let's chase them away from the camp of course, towards the clan border, but we don't want them to head into any other clan's territory." meowed Pantherclaw sternly, not taking his eyes off the kits. Slowly and cautiously, he approached the trembling kits towards the clan border. Unsheathing his claw and hissing loudly. The kits took a few paw steps back.

Hazeltear meowed her agreement, and faced the kits. She fluffed out her fur, making herself look twice her actual size, and hissed savagely. She unsheathed her claws, scoring them over the ground, lashing her bristling tail. What the heck, she thought, and caterwauled fiercely for good measure. She then began to run, forcing the fox kits to flee over the border. The she-cat kept going, looking back over her shoulder at Pantherclaw. "How far should we go?" she asked.

Pantherclaw approached the fox kits even closer, as he saw Hazletear join in on it. She looked just as fierce as Pantherclaw, maybe even fiercer!
I wouldn't want to get that she-cat mad at me!
Pantherclaw took his attention back to the fox kits, they still needed them to get them away.
"How far should we go?"
"As far into Fire Meadows(If we border it) as we can get them!" called Pantherclaw, taking a swipe at the kits, they staggered back quickly and began to run away.
Finally!
"Let's go!" called Pantherclaw, and chased after the kits, easily keeping up with them and making sure they stay on course.
