Name: Graymarks
Clan: ForestClan
Gender: She-cat
Rank: Warrior
Age: 28 moons
Description:
-Appearance: Graymarks is a small cat, though she has muscles that are hard to miss. She has an original pelt of silver color, though it’s layered over many times. First off, her ear start out black at the base, though at the top they are white, and in the middle between the two, it’s shaded into a gray. Along the center of her back she has one dark gray stripe, which shows up easily on the silver underneath. Along her sides she has gray spots, which are almost lined up with a few going stray every now and then. Her tail is very bushy, though looks more of a bunch of feathers other then thick fur that is fluffed out. From her tail being like this, it’s very hard to see the black rings and tail tip you would get if her tail was more together. She has a white muzzle and underbelly. Though on her side it seems like her white underbelly fur is creeping up her side, for it comes up in some sort of stripes until the first line of spots. Her silver fur looks as though it might go in 3 stripes along her belly, because it comes down onto her underbelly, though not all the way across and really only to the point where her long thick fur makes it look like it disappears onto her underbelly. Though this truly is a hard thing to see because her fur is so long every now and then it trails along the ground because of her short legs. She is very short, mostly because she is also small, though sometimes she looks like she’s bigger then she is from her thick fur. She only goes up half-way through the head to most warriors, though she is very agile because of her smallness, making her a good fighter and hunter. She has emerald colored eyes, which are amazing at seeing during the night. She also has a sort of black mask around her eyes that join the bases of her ears, and that go around the rim of her eyes and a bit above her pink nose, where the corners of her eyes are. Under that to her nose and muzzle her face is white. Her chest starts out black from her throat, though it goes through a stage of gray, going through silver as well, until it becomes white near her underbelly. Her whiskers start out black, though they become white near the ends and range in length from 2 inches- 5 inches, though two of her whiskers are 5 ½ inches long. Her 6 and 5 inch long whiskers end in black after going through the white.
-Personality: Graymarks has a loving nature, and is kind to anyone in her clan. Outside of her clan, she is nice to cats from other clans when they aren’t doing anything wrong because of her loving nature, though when they are doing something wrong and are trying to do wrong to her clan, she is fiercely loyal and will challenge them instantly. She always wants what’s best for her clan. She would never go against anyone in her clan and always tries to make friends instead of enemies. Because of her small build this is usually done easy because cats don’t usually think her threatening unless in battle. She is not very ambitious, and never dreams of anything besides her life in the warriors den. She loves to help the medicine cat, Feathermoon, whenever something terrible has happened in the clan. Graymarks favorite duty is to hunt, because she is one of the fastest cats in her clan. That, and border patrol normally isn’t that exciting to her, though she knows it’s extremely important. She is fairly obedient as well, and normally listens to cats that are in a rank above her. She loves listening to the elders tales, even though they’re usually meant for apprentices and kits. She also loves playing with kits and other cats younger then her. She would make a very good mother, though has no kits of her own because she has only been a warrior for a short while and doesn’t quite feel ready for kits yet. She’d be great at mentoring though, because she has extreme patience that seems infinite! But, yes, eventually it does come to an end, though it’s normally only done by cats who get under her fur easily. Lucky that’s not many!
History: Graymarks was born a ForestClan cat, and will die a ForestClan cat. As a kit, she had to be suckled with other kits, because her mother died shortly after giving birth to her and her sister, Silverflame. When she was apprenticed she had been very excited, because at that time their had been quite a few kits in the nursery and she was glad to be out of there. Her sister had been too. They had both been very excited about their ceremony, and were even more glad for each others company. Since Silverflame and Graymarks mother had died, and their father had disappeared after they had been born, they had been closer then most littermates. On their first day of apprenticeship their mentors even took a bit of pity on them and let them train together. The next day Graymarks mentor had shown her the best stalking techniques and they had gone hunting, while her sister had been taken on a border patrol, and then with her mentor to explore the rest of the borders. On the night of their vigil after their warrior ceremony, both were wanting to tell the other of their apprenticeships and how excited they were, but Graymarks kept herself quiet and when her sister opened her mouth to say something she would always slap her tail over her mouth, giving her a mouthful of fur. Though as dawn broke out and they got permission to speak once more, they both had celebrated by going hunting, when they were attacked by rogues. She got a few scars, that weren’t permanent, and lost quite a bit of fur, but her sister had gotten a long deep scar down her back, and what looked like her eye nearly clawed out. They had gone back to the medicine cat and Silverflame ended up losing her eye, giving her just a silver spot where her eye would have been.
RP Sample: Graymarks walked through the woods beside her sister, Silverflame, her sisters pelt shining eerily in the dawn light. They were hunting after their vigil the night before. They should have been resting, but they decided to go hunting and celebrate instead. She lifted her muzzle to take in the scents, her mouth open. She smelled a thrush upwind of her and her sister. She started stalking towards it, keeping her steps quiet, which was easy in green-leaf, when the leaves that fell weren’t dead and made close to no noise when you stepped on them. She stalked until she could see it from around a tree. She silently climbed over the roots of the big oak tree. She was careful not to make any noise as she climbed down from the roots to get closer to the thrush. Only a tail-length away, she though. Then she heard it.
“Graymarks!” It was Silverflame.
The thrush heard her sister and immediately took flight. What does she want now? Graymarks asked herself, though she knew she was worried because of how her sister had called for her. It wasn’t exactly in a voice that was to be ignored. She rushed back through the forest to the spot where she had heard her sisters voice coming from. Over her sister, a rogue had her pinned down and was about to deliver a death blow to her neck. She could tell from it’s scent it was male. He was leaning over Silverflame, and it looked like he just whispered something to her, though she was to far to hear what. The rogue never moved his paw from the poise to give the strike to the throat. She jumped on the tom, rolling him over before standing. The tom looked surprised for a moment, though he then jumped at her, claws outstretched. She dodged quickly, clawing his side and setting him off balance as he went by her, barely a mouse-length from her shoulder. The tom landed unbalanced, and Graymarks didn’t miss the opportunity. She jumped on his back, forcing him down for a moment, though not for long because of her light weight. Her sister was standing now, though she wasn’t in a condition to fight. She took a quick glance at her sister to see how bad she looked. Bad idea.
The tom took this chance to throw her off his back, and when she landed on her side, he was already ready and was leaping at her once more. She rolled out of the way quickly, rolling onto her feet, pouncing on the tom as he landed. She gave him a sharp nip on the shoulder, and Silverflame nipped at his legs, dashing in and out with amazing speed for her injuries. The tom had had enough. He shook me off and dashed away, a gray blur. “If I never see him again it’ll be too soon,” Graymarks declared, looking after the rogue as he raced away. Then she turned her attention to her sister. “Let’s get back to camp. We both need to be looked at by a medicine cat.” Graymarks never looked down to cats younger then her, and whenever she was with an injured cat, and she was injured as well, she would never say they need to be looked at by a medicine cat, but always we. She thought it showed more respect for someone you had just fought beside.
Her sister lost her eye, leaving a large silver-colored spot where her eye had been, as though her eyelid was just closed, though luckily she didn't have to be renamed because it hadn't changed the appearance Silverflame was named after.
