Stormpaw shook herself like a dog, sending up a rain of spray from her sodden fur. Her blue eyes were dancing with laughter. "That was fun!" To her dismay, Skysong's voice sounded from nearby. The grey apprentice glanced nervously at her mentor, who seemed displeased. Very displeased. Stormpaw gulped nervously. "Um..." What should I do? I want to stay and play with Oakpaw, but I'll be disobeying my mentor... She looked back at Skysong, wincing at how angry the warrior was. Then a slow grin spread across her face. If she's that mad already, then she can't possibly get angrier, right? Whirling the apprentice raced across to Oakpaw. "C'mon! Let's play!"

(sorry for the long wait. i'm in school too now and issues with hw and tests. lol)
Oakpaw was having the time of his young life chasing and roughhousing with Stormpaw in the rain. It felt so wonderful to just run around and jump and tackle her without a care in the world. Of course he'd have preferred a little less water, but the more he romped in the water, the more he got used to it and after a minute he didn't even notice the rain or the puddles they were leaping and rolling around in.
Oakpaw nearly crashed into Stormpaw when she abruptly stopped as Skysong angrily yelled for Stormpaw to get out of the rain. The old feeling of always listening to authority started to creep over Oakpaw. He was 3 seconds away from caving and meekly padding over to accept his fate when Stormpaw raced over and said for them to keep playing.
"But Skysong..." The words died in his throat as he looked from Skysong's angry face to Stormpaw's eyes, which were glittering with fun and life. Realizing he was pretty much in trouble regardless, he smiled at her. Might as well give Skysong a good reason to yell right? "Okay! Let's go!" He said and raced after her, further away from the cave and out of sight of Skysong. "Wheeee!" Splashing in a huge puddle, Oakpaw merrily raced around and practiced his dodging and cavorting in tight circles and discovered that training was even more fun in the rain!
"Hey Stormpaw! Come practice with me! Check this out!" Oakpaw yelled excitedly as he executed a spinning leap and slid a few feet upon landing due to the slippery patch of rock he was on. "This is even more fun in the rain! And look, you can slide here!" He said, taking a few steps back and lunging forwards and letting his momentum make him sail past her before he fell over in a miniature lake a few inches deep. Laughing he urged her to try it while shaking the water out of his ears.
(this is cool, but when were they gonna head back in? I doubt Skysong is gonna come out after them. lol)

ooc- I don't know. Maybe Skysong could go for reinforcements. We could bring in Songheart...
Skysong stared in disbelief as Stormpaw and Oakpaw scampered further into the rain, she could only dimly make out their outlines now. As she squinted after them, she came to two conclusions; go after then herself, or go and get someone to help. She was reluctant to go out there on her own and risk getting lost or injured herself, but she was afraid that if she left to go and look for someone, she wouldn't be able to find them again. Those mouse-brained apprentices! What did they think that they would accomplish by putting themselves in danger just to get to have fun? Skysong wondered if she had ever been that irresponsible when she was an apprentice. She couldn't remember. Shaking it off impatiently, the orange warrior squinted into the rain. She could still barely make them out, but at least they didn't seam to be going any farther away. She didn't know what she'd do if one of them got hurt and couldn't find their way back in time... she shuddered as she processed all of the implications. That definitely wouldn't help relations between StormClan and EmberClan. Clan rivalries or no, she did need help. If she couldn't find Blazestar then maybe Blitzfire would help her find Scarletstar or Songheart. She remembered the confrontation earlier that day and desperately hoped that she could find Blazestar.

ooc- Or Frostflash could come help...
Stormpaw grinned at Oakpaw, watching in awe as he leaped. That looks AWESOME! She ran forwards, eager to try. All thoughts of Skysong's anger vanished from her mind as soon as her paws touched the wet rock. The apprentice launched herself into an elegant leap, aiming for a particularly slippery stretch of rock. She had intended to land perfectly- trying to impress Oakpaw, of course- but her barely-healed shoulder threw her balance off just enough to make her slip. Letting out a cry of excitement, Stormpaw slid down the wet rock, landing with a big splash next to Oakpaw in the puddle. She was now so soaked that her grey pelt blended in with the dark water. Only her blue eyes could be seen, sparkling with happiness as she grinned at Oakpaw. "Wow, that was incredible!"

(would you guys mind if I bring Cinnamonstreak? And yeah Cinder, you can bring Frostflash. *grins* he can keep Cinny from strangling them. lol Oh and if you guys don't like my post, like if its too gmodey or something, just let me know and I'll edit. I don't mind. ^^ )
Cinnamonstreak had been looking for Skysong to see if she wanted to bring Stormpaw and join him and Dewpaw in an apprentice training session, but he couldn't find her. Following Skysong and Stormpaw's scent out of the EmberClan cave, he wondered where they were going at this time of night. As he entered the Great Cavern, he picked up Oakpaw's scent. Confused and getting suspicious, he followed the three scents until he saw Skysong at the mouth of the cave yelling at someone... in the rain?! Running up and stopping next to her, he looked outside.
"Skysong, what are you doing here?" He asked, when he heard voices. Looking outside, he squinted and made out the forms of two cats playing in the rain. As their voices, muffled, drifted towards him, Cinnamonstreak's jaw fell open. Oakpaw and Stormpaw were playing in the rain?!!? Were they crazy??? Turning to stare incredulously at Skysong, Cinnamonstreak told himself there had to be an explanation for this. "How long have they been out there??!" He asked her. Hearing Stormpaw give a shout of glee before landing in a puddle, Cinnamonstreak scowled at the two Apprentices. "Wait right here. I'll get them."
Growling at having to get wet, he left the cave entrance and stepped out into the pouring rain. Drenched completely in a matter of seconds, Cinnamonstreak's mood deteriorated quickly as he stalked over to where they were playing. Tackling the first apprentice he reached, as fate would have it, he pounced Oakpaw instead of Stormpaw. Grabbing a wad of his fur, Cinnamonstreak yanked Oakpaw out of the puddle of water and deposited him rudely on the rock.
"WHAT do you two think you're doing out here?!?! A kit has more brains than you two! Get inside right now before I demand your apprentice ranks!" He growled at the two of them before whapping Oakpaw hard and forcing him to walk towards the cave entrance in front of him.
Oakpaw grinned as Stormpaw raced over and tried it out. Laughing as she landed next to him, Oakpaw raced out of the puddle to slide again. Running fast, he leaped onto the rock and laughed as he went flying across the slippery rock. "Wheeeeeeeee!" Toppling over into the puddle, Oakpaw briefly went underwater and felt water enter his ears. Standing up he was suddenly tackled by a huge... thing.
"Mrrowlll!!!" He sputtered and tried to get away, thinking it was a rogue. Instead he was dragged and thrown down onto a patch of rock. Scurrying to his paws, he saw it was a very mad Cinnamonstreak. Uh oh... Oakpaw's eyes went huge as the tom yelled at them and threatened to have them demoted from apprentices.
Giving a squeak of fear as Cinnamonstreak whapped him and forced him back to where the angry Skysong was waiting, all Oakpaw could think about was what his dad Eagle was going to think when he found out, and Cloudmist... and Songheart. Sighing, Oakpaw hung his head as he stepped out of the rain and into the dry cave. Songheart. He'd let Songheart down...

Stormpaw's eyes grew huge with fear as she saw Cinnamonstreak. Uh oh... She cringed in the puddle, hoping that by some miracle the angry warrior wouldn't notice her. But she couldn't resist letting out a squeal of outrage as Cinnamonstreak threatened to have them demoted. "You can't do that!" The grey apprentice leaped out of the puddle and chased after Cinnamonstreak and Oakpaw. "Leave him alone, you bully," she snarled at the warrior, not caring if he shredded her fur. She put on a burst of speed, trying to catch up with Oakpaw, but once again found herself slipping on the rain-slick rock. Stormpaw regained her balance just in time to avoid flattening Skysong, but instead cannoned into another cat. The apprentice blinked dazedly, her ears ringing. When she realized who she had hit, she cringed and flattened her ears. It was Frostflash. And she did not look happy. "Uh-oh..." Stormpaw muttered.
Frostflash had followed Cinnamonstreak, wanting to see how Stormpaw and Dewpaw were shaping up. She trailed a little behind, relishing the chance to explore the caves. She followed his, Stormpaw's, and Skysong's scent, which was leading towards the surface. The deputy was slightly puzzled when she found the scent of a StormClan cat- what could a StormClanner be doing here? Her suspicions increased when she heard shouting up ahead. Frostflash increased her pace, rgoing as fast as she dared on the slippery rocks. She could hear Skysong's voice, then Cinnamonstreak's. What's going on? The deputy froze as she noticed Oakpaw standing in the cave, looking dejected. "What are you doing here?' she growled at him. Then a dirty-gray, wet form slammed into her, nearly knocking her off her paws. Frostflash glared down at Stormpaw, who was lying on the floor of the tunnel, looking petrified. She glanced at Skysong and Cinnamonstreak, still confused. "What in StarClan's name is going on here?"

ooc- Talyn has a nasty habit of disappearing. Go ahead and bring Blitzfire in! We still need a StormClan representative. I'll go pm Heathii.
Skysong was relieved when Cinnamonstreak came right to her. She hadn't wasted any time at all. She was a little displeased when he came to his own conclusions and didn't even wait for her input before storming out into the rain. She didn't mind to much, though. It would be much easier to just follow Cinnamonstreak instead of going though all of the trouble of getting worked up herself. She followed Cinnamonstreak out into the rain, ignoring it stinging cold as it working its way deep into her fur. Before she even reached the two apprentices and the glowering warrior, Frostflash charged out in front of her and reached the scene. Skysong was a little startled and starting to wonder if every cat wanted to some out into the freezing rain just to investigate the activities of two apprentices fooling around when she heard Frostflash's question. "Well," she answered finally getting a word in, "Stormpaw and Oakpaw thought it would be a good idea to play out in the rain, soaking themselves to the bone, and putting themselves on danger. And after Stormpaw's shoulder injury and everything! What were you two thinking?!" It was obvious to tell that Skysong wasn't going to let Stormpaw of that easily.

((You rang? :3))
The rain was coming down hard enough to put most cats in a bad mood, and it wasn't a particularly great thing to the russet she-cat that stalked through the streaks of wetness hurtling through the sky to hit the felines below. Songheart shook out her pelt, narrowing leaf-green eyes against the downpour. She was looking for Oakpaw, as she wanted to ensure that her apprentice was doing alright, as she hadn't seen him since the battle and needed to calm her fears that she was being a bad mentor by not ensuring his safety first thing. Padding towards the central cave, she narrowed her eyes slightly at the scent of the EmberClan apprentice mingled with Oakpaw's. Why would he have reason to be so near an EmberClan apprentice?
But her worries dissipated when she entered the cavern just as Oakpaw and Stormpaw, the EmberClan apprentice herself, bolted out of the cave and into the rain. Songheart was relieved that Oakpaw wasn't hurt in the fight and that he was also not feeling the hostility between the two Clans as much as some cats were. Herself included, she remembered with dismay, but at least she had made some attempt to amend her actions against EmberClan. When it all came down to it, everyone had to eat somehow, everyone saw the same moon and stars, everyone walked with the same StarClan when death came to claim them. Though that by no means meant that there were no strong Clan borders, it was nice to relax and just allow the peace to take hold for the Clans.
It didn't bother her that the apprentices were playing; after all, Songheart had no objection to a bit of recreation every now and then. Spotting a dismayed Skysong, the StormClan deputy padded over to her, realizing that now she herself was almost completely dry. "At least the dismal weather hasn't affected how the apprentices get along," Songheart commented casually, but she remained wary in case the EmberClan warrior did have an objection to the way the two apprentices were frolicking in the puddles.
When she called out to them, Songheart stood, ready to call Oakpaw as well. She didn't want to start a fight with the other Clan, not when the careful peace was so fragile. As the two apprentices ignored Skysong, impatience caused the StormClan deputy to narrow her eyes. She heard Frostflash approach, and then Cinnamonstreak, who stomped straight out to fetch the two apprentices back. Watching Oakpaw, she was tersely aware that she was still not on perfect terms with Cinnamonstreak, and didn't like the direction this was going.
Intent on reprimanding Oakpaw only if she saw fit, she knew well that ignoring the warrior was not a good thing for them to have done and would require at least a few consequences, as an apprentice really had no right to deny the warrior's request. But it still bothered her that the EmberClan warrior felt intent on dragging Oakpaw away from the game, and Songheart remained standing stiffly, not approaching. It took a lot of willpower on her part to keep from springing to the aid of her apprentice, and as the only other StormClan cat there, she felt a little guilty that she hadn't helped him yet. But still, he had been in the wrong, and so had Stormpaw. Songheart would allow them to deal with the EmberClan apprentice as they saw fit.
But not Oakpaw. Watching him step into the cave, the expression on Oakpaw's face made Songheart feel even slightly worse, and she stepped forwards, still stiff. Watching Stormpaw bump into Frostflash, she was not surprised when the EmberClan deputy asked what was going on. She was about to reply when Skysong did instead, and though that irked her slightly, she inclined her head in agreement. "Oakpaw," Songheart mewed firmly, her more authoratative side showing itself again. Stepping forwards a couple of paces until she was in the general circle of cats, she stood for a few seconds before she replied.
First, Songheart looked to Cinnamonstreak. "I would appreciate it if you did not drag around my apprentice," she snarled, barely repressing rage. Just because they had made amends didn't mean he could do whatever he wanted and expect no consequences. Then her green eyes switched to Frostflash. She let out a little hiss of impatience. "Leave the punishing to me," Songheart said coldly.
Her eyes flickered to Stormpaw who was still very wet, and they were still cold, but a little pitying. That disappeared as she spoke to Skysong. "Yes, it was a mousebrained thing to do when we don't know when the rogues will return." With a pointed glare at both of the apprentices, she lashed her tail once. "But nonetheless, the important thing is that neither of them did get hurt. Oakpaw, I am ashamed of this foolish behavior. Imagine if something had happened!"
That was a disturbing thought to her, if either of the apprentices had actually been injured. Finally, her green gaze locked on Oakpaw. Her green eyes held chiding and scolding in them, but they also held concern. She cared very much if the apprentices were injured or even running the risk, for they were the very futures of the Clans. Nonetheless, she was angry at her apprentice for behaving insolently, and though she stood by his side protectively, she silently seethed a bit.
((I didn't get the cave wrong or anything did I? >_<; ))

Frostflash nodded respectfully to Songheart, appreciating her sudden appearance. It probably wouldn't have been a good idea for me to yell at Oakpaw, since he's not in my Clan... She stared down at Stormpaw. "Skysong's right. Your shoulder is still healing; you should be resting, not racing around in the rain. It was incredibly irresponsible of you." She didn't shout: Stormpaw seemed to be petrified already and she didn't want to scare her more. But disappointment and anger were thick in every word that the deputy spoke. The grey she-cat bent down until she was almost nose-to-nose with the disobedient apprentice. "I don't want to know why you and a StormClan cat were playing together, but I'm warning you now: the warrior code tells us to keep separate from other Clans. It's not appropriate for you to have close friends in anther Clan." She glared down at Stormpaw, hoping that she had made her point.
Stormpaw nodded meekly, but a light of mutiny flared in her eyes. Stay separate, eh? I bet you were pretty glad the other Clans were there when the rogues attacked! And my shoulder isn't injured anymore, it feels fine! The grey apprentice looked over at Oakpaw, and grinned at him encouragingly. Don't let them push you around!

(muwhahaha... *coughs innocently*)
Cinnamonstreak wasn't bothered by Frostflash's appearance, he was however slightly bothered at Songheart's though. Especially when she snarled at him about having shoved Oakpaw around. His temper flared up and his eyes flickered like mini pools of fire showing the StormClan Deputy he was not appreciative of her correcting his methods. "Well do excuse me Miss Songheart. While you were busy elsewhere, YOUR Apprentice decided to drag an EmberClan Apprentice into the rain to PLAY. Pardon me if I, an EmberClan WARRIOR had to go fetch him because he was ignoring a STORMCLAN Warrior." Cinnamonstreak hissed in a civil tone at her, though his voice cold enough to make the water on everyone's pelt turn to ice.
Frostflash spoke up then, chiding Stormpaw, and Cinnamonstreak fell mute, though his sharp amber eyes missed nothing. He noticed that Songheart didn't appear to care that Oakpaw had been playing in the rain. Figures! Managing not to roll his eyes as he knew that would be considered provoking a fight, he instead forced himself to look away. Seeing that Frostflash had everything under control with Stormpaw, he decided it would be best if he left. Picking himself up gracefully, he stuck his tail in the air and stalked back to EmberClan's cave to dry off.
Oakpaw didn't think it could get much worse when suddenly he scented Songheart. Groaning miserably, he wished he could shrink into the floor and hide under a rock as she snarled at Cinnamonstreak and then lectured him. Looking completely dejected and miserable, his ears drooped even further as they pointed out the danger they could have gotten into had the rogues come back.
Frostflash's comment about how the Warrior Code said the Clans should stay separate upset him, especially when he said that Stormpaw shouldn't have friends outside of her Clan. Jerking his head up, he stared at Frostflash in shock. "What? Why?" He blurted out. His tone showed he was very upset that Stormpaw wasn't allowed to hang out with him. "Just because we're in separate clans doesn't mean we can't be friends! It's not fair! Just because you adults aren't getting along doesn't mean we Apprentices have to hate each other!" Oakpaw protested. Looking over at Songheart, his eyes pleaded with her to say something, to do something, anything.

ooc- *grins*
Skysong was starting to worry when Songheart came over to the group, she hadn't forgetten the conforntation earilier today and Songheart's tone of voice was clearly angry at Cinnamonstreak. This was not going well at all, Cinnamonstreak had just pulled Oakpaw out of the pool of water, admittedly a little roughly, but now the StormClan deputy looked like she might want to fight again. Luckily The apprentice's behavior was more pressing and Sonheart's attention was diverted. But then Cinnamonstreak replied. Skysong glanced fearfully at Songheart, but before she could do anything Cinnamonstreak turned tail and headed back to the cave that EmberClan was claiming as thier own. Then Oakpaw spoke up, upset about something that Frostflash had said but Skysong had missed because she was concetrating to hard on Cinnamonstreak and Songheart. She was able to understand from the reply, however. "Does it matter?" she asked, moslty to Frostflash. She didn't look at her deputy as she said it, but she continued before anything else could be said. "What really matters is that you two put yourselves into danger, and you had no idea whether or not you could get out of it, if something did occur. Luckily, it did not, but you... Stormpaw, you won't be allowed out of the cave without me for at least three days." she had been about to address both of them before she remembered Songheart and realized that she would not take kindly to having an EmberClan cat speak for herself. Skysong was trying to finish this up quickly now, even though they had by now managed to get inside of the caves, there was still a freezing spray bouncing up off of the rocks and the EmberClan warrior wanted despratly to get to a more sheltered place were it might be warmer.

The StormClan deputy watched and listened as Frostflash spoke to Stormpaw. Reasoning with herself that it was good for the apprentices to be taught to listen to the warriors, she remained silent. When she got to the part about not having friends in other Clans, Songheart disagreed, but it would not have been wise to speak out about it for the time being, or she would have. The tension between StormClan and EmberClan was still bold, and disrupting the peace was a distasteful situation to the russet deputy. Curling her tail around herself, she continued to listen.
While Stormpaw looked at Oakpaw, Songheart spared a glance at Cinnamonstreak. The tom's eyes were like flames as he replied to her. She listened icily, her green eyes sharp, watching Cinnamonstreak. There had always been something about him that ticked her off, and now was not one of those exceptional moments when she managed not to get angry. Her spine prickled as she kept her harsh green eyes on him, not making a hostile move in his direction, but inadvertently allowing once again the two Clan cats with tempers to match wildfires clash again.
Songheart's voice was sweet, but filled with all the potency of venom. "Maybe if you had intelligence higher than that of a mouse you would have convinced them to come back some other way than physical aggression, Mr. Cinnamonstreak," she replied. "I had at least thought you were above that, but apparently I was wrong." Watching him leave, she aimed a low, almost inaudible snarl, and turned back to the remaining EmberClan cats. She scrutinized the two apprentices for a second before dipping her head to Frostflash.
Flickering a glance at Oakpaw, she wavered a moment as he spoke. Sighing a little, she tipped her head to speak to Frostflash again, considering. "Frostflash," Songheart said, respectful as a deputy speaking to another, "I know the apprentices have acted foolishly today. But they have more wisdom than we usually grant them. Is it not true that StarClan would not want their children to fight all the time, and that they would rather see us get along, despite grudgingly for some?"
Taking a breath, she continued, "I believe that we can at least live in the same space without killing each other. We must maintain Clan boundaries, I do agree with you on that basis, but I still think that perhaps we should ease up on the tenseness a bit." Her green eyes were friendly as she finished speaking, glancing at the EmberClan cats, questioning.
((1. Songheart has major mood swings 2. Songheart and Cinnamonstreak are mortal enemies >:3))

Frostflash glared at Cinnamonstreak, unable to believe that he had actually been that rude to Songheart. She took a deep breath, ready to chew him out, but then realized that getting into an argument with him in front of cats from another Clan would not be smart. Then Oakpaw piped up, saying how it wasn't fair that they couldn't be friends just because the warriors weren't getting along. Frostflash had to admit that he was right: he and Stormpaw seemed to be getting along better than most of the warriors were. The deputy dipped her head in respect to Songheart. "I agree. StarClan certainly doesn't want us to fight all the time, and these apprentices seem to see that. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be punished," she added, staring at Stormpaw, who was still looking mutinous, "but it should be because they disobeyed Skysong, not because they were playing."
Stormpaw grinned at Oakpaw as he protested. Yeah! That's more like it! The grin soon turned to an expression of anger and horror as Skysong told her that she wouldn't be allowed out of the cave for three days. Even though she should have learned her lesson about going against her mentor, the fiery apprentice was still about to protest. Not able to leave the cave for three days?! For playing around in the rain?! A glare from Frostflash froze the words before they could escape her mouth, however. The grey she-cat looked down, poking a pebble with her paw. She listened with interest to Songheart's and Frostflash's conversation. Wow, I'm impressed. They might actually have brains.

Skysong froze in horror at Songheart's reply. That was definatly the sort of thing that would result on someone getting their ears clawed off. She prayed to StarClan that Cinnamonstreak could find it within himself to just ignore the remark and continue on his way. It didn't sound like a very likly occurance, but a fight now, when they were going to be forced into the caves for a week of living in close quarters and after the two cats had already had a fight today, would not turn out well on either side. Skysong glanced fearfully at Cinnamonstreak's retreating back, forgettign the two dissobedient apprentices for the moment. While she was waiting to see what Cinnamonstreak would do, she managed to hear what Songheart said next to Frostflash. She alsmost laughed from the insanity of it all. The hypocryte! She just insulted Cinnamonstreak enough to start a fight, and now she was respectfully informing Frostflash that the Clans needed to stop fighting and just get along. She didn't say anything about it, however. There was nothing that she could do to help the situation. She forced back her feeling enough to reply to Frostflash. She nodded, "Yes, I agree. But now it looks like there is nothing more to do here." Skysong was clinging to her last, desprate hope. She wanted to get everyone away before a fight really did start. "Maybe we should all go back to our caves now." Hopefully it would work. She was ignoring the fact that her chances were not that high.
