Name: Dawnwatcher
Clan: Forestclan
Position: Warrior
Age: 16 moons
Gender: She-cat
Description: Creamy green and violet eyes mark Dawnwatcher's face, making her look like a little unusual. Dark black fur covers her body, making her blend well with the twilight shadows. Her muzzle is tinged with the faintest trace of silver followed by a little scar right on the bridge of her nose. Brown traces of fur are on her back, blending with the black markings. White tufts of fur are on Dawnwatcher's chest, ruffled and a little bit dirty. The young warrior has thorn sharp claws which makes it easy for her to climb trees and to keep a tight grip on a object. Her left ear is folded over giving her a lazy appearance. Cream colored fur dot her face and neck, falling over a long scar on her shoulder. A black ring wraps around her neck and runs all the way to her tail. Silver rings mark her long tail and at the very tip is colored cream. Dawnwatcher has small snow white paws and long claws that stick out when they're sheathed. Smaller than most warriors, she can fit into rabbit warrens and even under some tree roots at the edge of Forestclan territory. A slightly nicked right ear can be seen in the day, but when it's night it's very hard to see. Not eating very much, Dawnwatcher is very lean and skinny for her age which makes her pelt sag down. She has long back legs which makes her great for hunting squirrels or even rabbits. Unfortunately, since she doesn't weigh much- Dawnwatcher is usually weak and tires real easy. A long black scar runs down her right front paw followed by another one at the very top. A few white stripes run down her back and ends towards her shoulder.
Dawnwatcher tries to keep herself well-groomed, so usually her fur is smooth and sometimes clean.
History: Not much is know about Dawnwatcher's past because she rarely speaks about it. She was born to the warriors of Goldenmist and Yellowtail. Dawnwatcher loved her parents dearly and always followed them wherever they went. Pretty soon, Dawnwatcher had a very close bond with her mother and tried to get close to her father but he kept pushing her away. When she was having a early morning scuffle with a few other kits outside of the nursery, a loud yowl sounded from the entrance of the camp. A Forestclan warrior carried her father's body into the camp and explained that he got caught in a Twoleg trap out on the moor. Feeling depressed, Dawnwatcer seeked comfort from her mother, who was also feeling the pain of loosing her mate. After she became a apprentice- Goldenmist found another mate, Redbrook. Eventually Goldenmist was expecting kits, which made Dawnwatcer happy thinking she was going to have more family. When she was hunting in the woods one evening, she caught the scent of blood and saw her mother struggling to give birth. The young apprentice raced to the camp and fetched the medicine cat and helped her bear Rowanpaw. At first all seemed fine, but her mother passed away in the nursery from loss of strength. Feeling distraught and confused, Dawnwatcher raced out of the camp and stumbled onto a Thunderpath where she was hit by a monster. Waking up in the medicine cat's den, she saw marigold and horsetail over a wound on her shoulder. When Dawnwatcher was able to leave the medicine cat's den, she always spent her time in the nursery, watching over her brother. Not caring much for Redbrook, she always ignored him and never once said she loved him. A few moons before her warrior ceremony, Dawnwatcher was teaching her brother a few fighting moves when a hawk swooped down and clawed her right ear. Leaving a nick in her right ear, Twilightstar took the life of the hawk quickly and buried it in the forest respectfully. Wandering back into the camp, her brother launched a suprise attack and clawed her muzzle. Dawnwatcher soon became furious with him and that's how their fights started. After much wait, she finally became a warrior and never broke the bond with her brother or her clan.
IC: "Yeah, well you're just a lazy lump of fur!"
"Oh yeah!? Look who's talking you stupid furball!"
"You want to fight!? Well bring it on scary sister!"
Dawnwatcher heaved a heavy sigh and glared at her brother, her eyes narrow slits. "Must resist temptation to claw his fur off..." Dawnwatcher thought discreetly.
Her brother just looked at his paws for a moment, he looked pitiful- like he just got back from a battle that took his spirit away. This always happened after a word battle, both of them didn't speak to each other until the other apologized. Feeling slightly annoyed at her brother's stubborness, Dawnwatcher sat down beside him looking up at the crystal blue sky.
"Dawnwatcher, I'm sorry..." Rowanpaw meowed slightly embarassed.
"It's okay, you may be annoying, but you're my annoying brother." she purred.
Rowanpaw followed his sister's gaze, wondering what she was looking at.
"You know....mom always sat in this very spot gazing up at the sky until Silverpelt was in the sky." Dawnwatcher mewed quietly, yet sadly.
"Really? What was she like..?" Rowanpaw asked curiously, scooting closed to his sister.
Dawnwatcher's ear twitched and she just stood there, deep in thought. A pang of pity seared through her body as she heard Rowanpaw's question. He never knew his mother, she died giving birth to him. During that time, all Dawnwatcher could do was watch helplessly and do whatever the medicine cat told her. That's why she was always so protective over him, she didn't want anything to happen to him. If something did she would surely go mad.
"Our mother was....gentle and kind. She had a temper, but that's what made some warriors stronger." she answered finally.
"Did she love me?" Rowanpaw asked, his eyes starting to waver with tears.
"Of course she did! How could you say she didn't!?" Dawnwatcher spat and scuffed him over the ear playfully.
"Well...she wouldn't have died if she truely loved us." Rowanpaw answered, ignoring the scuff.
Dawnwatcher stared down in shock at her brother. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. In a way, he did have a point. She still remembered her mother's scent and would often smell it when she was alone. Even in the warrior's den, she heard her soft voice, caressing her into a soothing sleep.
"No, you're wrong Rowanpaw. She loved us, she gave every last bit of her strength to make sure you were safe, so you could become a good warrior." Dawnwatcher meowed, loud enough to scare a squirrel into a tree.
"Sister, how do you know though? You only knew her when you were a apprentice. She died before you could become a warrior!" Rowanpaw argued, lashing his striped tail.
"Because, I was there when you were born. I was with her when her spirit decided to walk with Starclan." she meowed solemnly, her gaze flicking to a water puddle.
Rowanpaw just sat there, a single tear running down his long whisker. He trembled a little and scraped the ground with his thorn-sharp claws. Dawnwatcher beamed down at him and pressed her muzzle into his light brown fur affectionately.
"I love you Rowanpaw and nothing will ever change that." she meowed lovingly.
"Sister....thank you."
