Foxshadow crouched hidden in the shelter of leafy bushes. He looked around for cats to join him. Flexing his claws, he thought about those two cats...what was it? Ah, yes, Darkheart and Wildshadow. This time, he would look for different cats.

Runningfire bounded along the River, enjoying the fresh scent of the forest and the warm sunshine, unaware of Foxshadow hidden in the bushes.

"Hello, there," FOxshadow emerged from the bushes, and faced the ginger she-cat. The rogue thought she smelled like one of the cats he had spoken to before....odd.

Runningfire whipped around to face Foxshadow. "What do you think you were doing, sneaking in behind me like that?" she snapped, her yellowish-green eyes blazed with fury.

"I'm sorry," Foxshadow meowed, his voice as smooth as honey. "I was thinking...would you like to join me? You know, work together," his eyes gleamed.

Eagle Skybird crouched on his haunches in the reeds by the riverbank. The enormous tom, were he visible, would have been immediately identifiable as a purebreed of the largest cat breed alive, the Maine Coon. However, Eagle set himself apart from other, clumsier kittypets by his grace and ability to hide no matter the situation. As he crouched, awaiting the bird pecking at the ground to draw close enough, he listened to the bumblebees hum lazily and drone on with their work. Wondering what it would be like to be a bumblebee, or perhaps a bird, he leapt forward, striking the robin in front of him with his huge claws and snapping its neck instantly. Usually, hunting wasn't as easy, for though Eagle could hide, he couldn't turn invisible and often prey did scent him and flee in time. He heard talking nearby, and decided to check it out. Scratching a hole in the bank of the river, he buried the bird and approached the voices.
The dark tabby tom glanced first at Foxshadow, then at Runningfire. Clearly, both were loners, but just from his instincts, Eagle got a slight uneasiness as he stood. He usually wasn't the first to speak, and so he didn't.

"Work together?" Runningfire snorted, "I always thought rogues mind their own business." She added, "well, what's on your mind?"

"Ah, well I've been told by some cat that there are some Clans in the forest and I've heard from a few cats that they are moving to some place near territories, so would you like to join me to drive 'em out?" Foxshadow asked.

Interested, with ears pricked, Runningfire meowed, "well, what's your plan then?" Then on second thought, she muttered to herself, "why do I have to mind your business?" But she listened for Foxshadow's reply.

"Well," Foxshadow smiled, his claws flexed. "We'll need more cats, maybe a few more loners or rogues, then we'll try to fight the cats off," he growled.

Eagle couldn't stay silent for long. "Hold on," He said, stepping forward with one huge paw. "You mean to say that you're going to try to drive out all four Clans?" He took a deep breath. "I know about the Clans. The Clans are large enough that you'd even need many more cats my size in order to drive them out. Any why would they suddenly move?" This is all so ominous, He thought, and heard a distinctive rumble of thunder from not too far away. "We're all going to have issues when that storm hits. I think we should be more concerned about escaping that than taking over Clan territory." I know my Twolegs would help me, but would she help them? He thought questioningly.

Foxshadow snarled at the newcomer. "WHy were you spying on us?" he spat. "Besides, I'm not trying to take over their territory, just get rid of them so they don't invade OURS," he growled.

Eagle sighed, shaking his big head. "I wasn't spying," He said in his deep mew. "I'd been sitting here the whole time." He raised a massive paw and chewed a dewclaw for a moment. "Why in the name of the world would the Clans ever invade our territory? They have their own territory, and though they usually attack outsiders, they're not too malicious."

Honorbright crouched lower as the cats neared her. She didn't want them to know she was eaves dropping but this information could be very important to her Clan..if only she could figure out what clan it was they were going to drive out. She shivered, to late she realized the other cats had heard the rustle of the bushes as she shivered fearing they were after her clan not someone else's.

Runningfire's sharp ears picked out the rustling of bushes nearby. Wirling around, she saw the bushes move and picked up a trace of Honorbright's scent. "Spy!" she screeched furiously, charging toward the rustling bush.
