Heatherpaw's silver eyes lit up with surprise and happiness. A full medicine cat? "Really? Thyank you so much!" She would have hugged him if she were human, and she twitched her tail excitedly. Mother, whoever and wherever you are, I hope you're proud of me, she thought longingly. Ripplestream had been like a mother to her, as much as she needed, but she felt a small dark hole in her heart where the place of her mother and father should be. Glancing up at the sky, she wondered if maybe hey were with StarClan? She would never know.

Stonestream purred, "You deserve it," he smiled, his eyes dancing if he were the one who was going to be a full medicine cat. He led the way back to the other medicine cats and looked at the silver apprentice beside him. He noticed how much she had grown, not only taller and bigger, but wiser and smarter.

''No Blackstripe this isn't Brightfire.'' Shadowjumper said as she pointed to her true mate. She felt a hint of ager with her brother. Shadowjumper had heard that some cats have be stealing prey. She didn't care if they where kin she would protect her clan at all cost.[/color
''Sorry Shadowjumper I was thinking he is a good warrior'' Balckstripe said pointing to the warrior Shadowjumper was sitting next to.''Warrior what is your name'' The tom asked in a high voice. He often tended to belittle other cats.
Snakebite left the Forestclan warrior and trotted over to Ripplestream.''Hello need any help?''Snakeite moewd to the medicne cat. She was a freind of his the only cat in the clan that knew of this former mate Blackrain. He brgun to stare off into space

Nightpaw saw Jetmoon approach, but he didn't mind that he was a warrior much. "They might have missed something," he said argumentatively, but with a glimmer of amusement in his eyes. He wasn't really worried, but loved arguing. "I mean, they were only there for a short time. It's possible that there is something dangerous, like, ummm... say, there are twolegs building twoleg nests. Or maybe there's no place like Mothermouth and the Moonstone and the medicine cats can't share tongues with StarClan. And I haven't seen Batpaw for a while either. You don't think something happened to him?"

"There's always a chance, but without chances there woudln't be anything good, would there?" Jetmoon grinned. "Besides, I think they mentioned that rogues were up there. Wouldn't you like to fight rogues? I know I would." He laughed. "Besides, what Twolegs in their right mind would build nests up there?" Flicking his tail at the tall precipice, he added, "I think the medicine cats can manage, but you're right... Batpaw..."
[/color] Heatherpaw's steel-gray eyes were full of pride, one thing she wouldn't have done before, show her emotions that outwardly. Though she herself didn't notice all that much, she had grown quite a bit, and with age she opened up to other cats. She was not so detached from the other cats, but instead bonded and comfortable with others, at least more so than before. She sat next to Stormpaw, still filled with glee.

Feathermoon nodded plesently at Ripplestream's and Stonestream's greetings. When Heatherpaw and Stonestream stepped a few steps back, Feathermoon intended to start a conversation with Ripplestream, in order to give them a bit of privacy. Before she could think of a suitable topic, Heatherpaw let out a squeel of glee. Feathermoon glanced at her curiously. When she realized that she was staring, Feathermoon turned to Ripplestream, but she was unable to remamber what she had been about to ask. She gave up and turned back to Sonestream and Heatherpaw. "What's going on?" she asked.

Stormpaw stood beside Heatherpaw, slightly at a loss. She had no idea who half these cats were. But her blue eyes glowed with happiness. Her friend was going to become a full medicine cat!!! She nodded politely at Feathermoon as the ForestClan medicine cat began to talk to Heatherpaw. Then she slipped away, knowing that she shouldn't intrude on the medicine cats' conversation. Slipping past two talking apprentices, she sat by herself at the edge of the clearing. she had always liked being alone. Her friendship with Heatherpaw had begun to change that, and she had slowly grown more comfortable in her own Clan, but sometimes she felt like the loneliest cat in the forest. Stormpaw sighed, whiskers fluttering. It was no use being gloomy.

Heatherpaw grinned at Stormpaw. But her friend still seemed a little detached from the talk, and slipped away. Watching Stormpaw for a moment to make sure she was alright, not offended or anything, she turned to adress Feathermoon for Stonestream. "I'm going to be a medicine cat," She said excitedly.
Jetmoon chuckled. "He is, and maybe I should be a little more concerned, but I'm pretty sure Batpaw can take cae of himself."
Windpaw entered the clearing boldly. Her first time at Fourtrees, since she was only a new apprentice, but still more exciting was the prospect of going to Korkea Maa. Looking around, the confident apprentice paused for a moment to see if her mentor, Swallowsong, was coming before turning and padding over to a she-cat standing at the edge of a clearing. The gray she-cat looked gloomy. "Hi!" Windpaw meowed, friendly. This she-cat was of EmberClan, but being of ShoreClan she had no quarrel with any cat. "My name's Windpaw. What's your name?" Windpaw had never been out of Clan territory because she was only a new apprentice, so she didn't know anyone. She saw Lillypaw, and meowed a friendly greeting. ((Windpaw is uber-friendly so she is open to any cat that wants to say hello ))

Mousepaw perked up at the news, "That's great, I think you'll make a great medicine cat!" the blind apprentice meowed, but then thought of the foregoings, "Is Stonestream sick?" he inquired, not wanting to lose one of their community. It's great! he thought, soon that'll be me! he mused over the thoughts swirling in his head.

Ripplestream smiled warmly at Heatherpaw; she gave the silver she-cat a gentle lick on the head and meowed, "That's great! You're such a hard-working cat," she smiled at her mentor too. The silver-blue medicine cat turned her gaze on her own apprentice, "Don't worry," her eyes gleaming with slight amusement. "You will be a full medicine cat too before you know it!"

Snowveil padded into the hollow, her white tail twitching with excitement. She was eager to meet new cats. A small grey cat was sitting on the side of the hollow near her. Snowveil frowned at her scent: EmberClan. That Clan had been causing too much trouble lately. "You must be Stormpaw," she meowed, slightly aloof.
Stormpaw looked up to see a white StormClan cat approaching her. 'I am." she meowed expressionlessly. "Who are you?' She had never seen this cat before. She looked like a young warrior, or an apprentice about ready to be made a warrior.
"I'm Snowveil", the cat replied, slightly nettled by Stormpaw's tone. "I'm a warrior." She bristled slightly at Stormpaw's reaction: a careless shrug. "You should respect a warrior!" Stormpaw turned to face her, sapphire eyes flashing. Snowveil stepped back.
"i'll show you respect when you earn it!" Stormpaw growled furiously. Without waiting for an answer, she hurried away towards Heatherpaw and Mousepaw. They weren't stuck up. She sighed softly. Why did she always have to be so tempermental? It even worried her sometimes...

(haha, I wrote a novel again. wheee for posting! Oh and um, Hawkii, was one of the leaders gonna call it to attention or what? And what do you want me to do about Midnightstar? Should I imply she's here or?)
Blossomkit had been terribly excited once she’d heard the news they were leaving camp. It’s about TIME! She’d nearly shouted, but the look on Swallowsong’s face had killed her momentary leap of joy as she’d made it clear she had to stay by her side or else. As if that wasn’t bad enough, that uppity Deputy Twilightsong had just HAPPENED to wander over and mention as the only kit the journey was DANGEROUS! He’d even had the gall to suggest he CARRY HER. Blossomkit had bristled and spit with indignation, which earned her a LOOK from Swallowsong while Twilightsong’s whiskers had done a funny twitching thing for a good minute.
She’d gotten the impression he was laughing at her and she’d given him a dirty look, only to have him say that if she got more than five feet away from Swallowsong she’d have a bald rear end. Her jaw had fell open, but he’d merely walked away before she could think of a reply, unfortunately. His whiskers had still been doing that funny twitching thing too so she couldn’t tell if he’d been serious or was playing tricks on her. For once, deciding she didn’t want to find out the hard way, and cause mom was being SO uptight about a “flood”, Blossomkit had minded and stayed near her for the entire trip.
Really, about the only interesting thing that had happened lately was the news of Windpaw. She seemed like a lot of fun and Blossomkit was hoping they could be friends and truth be told, Blossomkit was such a handful because she was very lonely and very bored. She’d yet to really approach Windpaw though cause Swallowsong had kept her by her side the past few days.
Once at Fourtrees, Blossomkit stopped and stared at all the cats milling around. She’d never seen such a mass assembly of cats and the sights and smells were overwhelming, but not in a scary way. Rather, it fascinated her. Swallowsong dropped a mouse in front of her to eat, but Blossomkit would rather stare and gawk around the clearing. Only when her mom walked off to give some food to Twilightsong did she hurriedly scarf it down. Now was her chance to talk to other cats! She thought she even saw some kits!
Without a second look back, Blossomkit took off from where Swallowsong had left her and happily wandered through the maze of cats before seeing Windpaw talking to another cat. Seizing her chance, she wandered over and kept her tail up in the air with a happy twitch, but honestly she was nervous and was afraid Windpaw and the other cat might not like her. “Hi.” She mewed while standing as tall as she could. “I’m Blossomkit!” She said, eyeing the other cat for a moment. She didn’t smell like ShoreClan. “What clan are you from?” She asked curiously.
"Hello, Twilightsong, How are things running for ShoreClan?"
Songheart had pleasantly returned his mewed greeting and he was glad for that. While there were no issues between the two Clans, he knew it wasn’t hard for Clans to start taking sides and wished for no problems between ShoreClan and another Clan right now. He looked up briefly, just long enough to make sure his mentor Nightpaw was nearby and not getting into mischief before turning his attention back to Songheart.
”Hello, Songheart, it’s good to see you again. Things are going well, though like the other Clans, we too are having problems with the prey.” He mewed regrettably. “I’m thinking they are taking our idea to leave the area as well, except they left sooner than we did.” He added with an amused chuckle. He noticed his friend Nightfrost had peeled off to chat with some EmberClan cats and blinked at the brilliant red warrior he was speaking too. Wow, you can see that guy coming a mile away with that pelt. He thought to himself with an amused smile. The Warrior caught him looking at him and Twilightsong averted his gaze so the male wouldn’t feel like he was being stared at.
Swallowsong walked up then and dropped a mouse at his paws. “Thank you Swallowsong.” He meowed politely as he pulled it close to him before turning back to Songheart. “I hope you’ll forgive me eating in front of you while I inquire as to how StormClan is doing.” He said. Motioning to Oakpaw, who kept looking over at Songheart with an almost adoring look on his face, the male couldn't resist commenting. ”It appears we both have mentors now.” He said with a smile as he took a bite out of his mouse while keeping his ears perked attentively towards Songheart. His eyes briefly scanned the crowd again for Midnightstar, but he didn’t see her, however that didn’t mean she wasn’t already here… He then noticed Cloudmist and Songheart giving the brilliant red warrior nasty looks and wondered what that was about. “He sure stands out in a crowd doesn’t he?’ Twilightsong injected tactfully with a casual tone, but lurking within his comment was a slight inquisitiveness to know what the male had done to earn the ire of the two females.
''I agree she had NO right to take our prey or speak about us.. I to miss Blazestar and Flameheart they would know what to do''
Shadowjumper hissed her own reply, showing she was clearly displeased with how things were going as well, however he didn’t really have a chance to reply as she was looking distractedly around. Another male wandered by, Pebblestone of ShoreClan, and Cinnamonstreak, having no quarry with ShoreClan, nodded politely as the greetings were exchanged. Pebblestone politely asked how EmberClan was, but Cinnamonstreak still pulled a sour look, though it wasn’t aimed at Pebblestone.
“There’s apparently a concensus going around in StormClan that with our Leader and Deputy away on StarClan business that we are too weak to defend our own borders. As a result they’re stealing OUR prey.” He spat as his ears went back. “They aren’t the only ones though, I’ve scented other cats thieving as well. I plan to see that this is addressed as StarClan knows that every Clan cat knows the rules regarding respecting Clan boundaries!” He emphasized strongly as Cloudmist and Songheart shot him nasty looks. Giving them a look of his own, he noticed Twilightsong didn’t appear to know what was going on and sighed in a miffed way before looking back at Pebblestone. “How’s ShoreClan?” He asked, working on soothing his ruffled fur down. He wasn’t given long to do it as a few moments later two other males joined them, one of which Shadowjumper had apparently been waiting for.
Nightfrost of ShoreClan meowed a polite greeting, but apparently didn’t know Shadowjumper that well. Blackstripe of Stormclan, however, knew her, but didn’t know him and thought he was some cat named Brightfire. Already having feelings of misgiving towards Blackstripe due to the Clan he was from, the male didn’t do anything to redeem himself by adopting an attitude when Shadowjumper said he wasn’t Brightfire. It wasn’t so much what Blackstripe said really, it was how he said it, and Cinnamonstreak wasn’t sure if the male was aware he sounded like he had a superiority complex or if he really thought he was all that and then some. At any rate, Cinnamonstreak gave him a look that said he wasn’t buying the attitude and that Blackstripe had better drop his arrogant attitude fast or get lost. “Cinnamonstreak.” He said, his tone only slightly frosty as he was working on keeping a lid on his temper. Thieving Clan or not, Stonestream and Heatherpaw wouldn’t take kindly to him starting a fight with StormClan here of all places.
Looking over at Nightfrost before he said or did anything else to the StormClan warrior he quickly addressed him. ”Hello Nightfrost. It’s good to see you again. How has ShoreClan been faring lately?” His tone was considerably calmer towards Nightfrost as he was working on it, plus he didn’t have an issue with Nightfrost’s Clan. His eyes ran over Twilightsong again before landing on Pebblestone. Oh yes, Pebblestone had been the Deputy for a little bit before Twilightsong was promoted. He didn’t think it polite to comment on that as he wasn’t sure if Pebblestone was glad or upset that the rank of Deputy had been passed to Twilightsong.
Oakpaw had been watching Songheart while half heartedly listening to a conversation with Lillypaw and some other cats, but his attention was diverted when he saw Stormpaw looking a little dejected. Another cat walked up to her and after only a few seconds, the other cat snapped at her about something before Stormpaw stalked off to go be near Heatherpaw and Mousepaw. Wondering what was going on, and unaware of his mother's deed, he walked over figuring saying hi couldn't hurt.
"Hey Stormpaw." He meowed with a friendly smile as he sat next to her. "You okay? You look kinda down." He asked softly so his voice wouldn't carry as he tilted his head a little, watching her with a friendly look that held a touch of concern. A caring male by nature, it just wasn't like him to be nice to only members of his Clan. If he saw another cat looking lonely or hurt in another Clan, he wanted to at least see if he could help, though StormClan would always come first... However, there was nothing wrong with showing someone kindness, at least that was his belief.

ooc - Post much, Ashii? xP
"ShoreClan has been doing well," Pebblestone answered in reply to Cinnamonstreak's question. "Twilightsong is our new deputy, if you didn't know already, and he's been doing quite a good job of it, too," he added, twitching his ears in the direction of the large tom, who was seated beside Songheart, the StormClan deputy. The gray warrior smiled and dipped his head before turning away to find some other cat to talk to. His green eyes found a new warrior, Jetmoon of ForestClan, and he padded over to see what was going on in ForestClan.
Cloudmist padded over to Snowveil, who seemed angry and she touched her Clanmate's shoulder with the tip of her tail. "Hey, Snowveil? Are you okay?" her sparkling green eyes were shadowed with a little worry. The tortoiseshell StormClan warrior glanced around and saw an apprentice, Stormpaw, hurrying away. Perhaps it was the stupid EmberClan apprentice that had angered the white she-cat.
Swallowsong dipped her head to Twilightsong and started to pad back towards her kit, but as usual, Blossomkit was nowhere to be seen. Mousebrain! That kit never stayed in one spot! Her sharp amber eyes picked out the fluffy shape of the kit and she started towards her, but then stopped and told herself that she could trust Blossomkit not to drive anyone crazy with her constant "kit-ness". The tabby she-cat sighed and sat down, glancing around the clearing, looking for something to do...

Heatherpaw absorbed the praise gleefully. "Thank you, Mousepaw," She said, happily. "No, Stonestream isn't sick," She replied for her mentor. "And I know it'll be you sooner than you'd think." Appreciative for the compliment from Ripplestream, she purred lightly. Glancing to the side as Stormpaw re-approached, she meowed hesitantly and quietly, "What's wrong? Hello Oakpaw," She added, seeing the apprentice and greeting him with a friendly smile.
Windpaw had a puzzled look on her brown-tan-white face as the ShoreClan cat came and went and Stormpaw left. "Okay..." She meowed hesitantly, and watched Blossomkit approach. "Hi! I'm Windpaw, but you probably already know that, considering we're in the same Clan..." A puzzled frown was on her face, but it quickly faded and she grinned. "She's an EmberClan cat, judging by her scent, but I dunno." The new apprentice shrugged.
Songheart nodded respectfully to Twilightsong. "Yes, and it's a good idea to leave while we can." She grinned diplomatically. "I don't mind at all. StormClan has been mostly well, with the exception of the prey-stealing that has been going on, as I'm sure you've heard." It's not like every cat in the forest isn't talking about it, the StormClan deputy thought, frustrated at such a violation of Clan borders and laws. Songheart picked up a vicious tone, and it was coming from the heat-headed tom from EmberClan. "He sure does," She said, a slight growl in her voice. Catching the nasty glare from him, her leaf-green eyes carried with them the hatred that she felt he deserved. Dishonest, thieving, conniving, rotten mouse-brained pile of crowfood, Songheart screamed in her mind, but would never make a scene by acting out. Instead, she remained silently venomous.
Jetmoon sat, tail curled around his sleek black physique. Cats all around him were glaring daggers at each other, and the happy-go-lucky tom felt sad that the Clans couldn't just get along. "We're going to have to live with each other, so everyone just better get used to it," He mumbled. Turning, he saw Pebblestone. "Hello!" He greeted the ShoreClan tom.
