"I don't know. She looked badly hurt. Can I go and see her?" Runningfire asked. Wildshadow hissed in her ear, "no, this is Clan territory, how can we go?", but Runningfire ignored him.

Runningfire and Wildshadow waited patiently outside EmberClan camp. "Did you hurt Scorchpaw badly?" Wildshadow asked curiously. "I wounded her badly on her side, and I noticed she was gasping for breath..."

As soon as Runningfire saw Moonfeather appear at the camp, she jumped up and meowed, "how is she?".

Runningfire sighed in relief. "I'm so glad. Is there anything I can do to help?" "If there isn't, then we will go." Wildshadow added quickly.

"Okay, I'll do my best.", Runningfire said eagerly, and she bounded off to hunt. Wildshadow dragged his feet, but he followed anyway. He was a better hunter than she was, so it would be mostly his job to hunt for the injured apprentice. Soon, both loners came back with prey dangling from their jaws. Runningfire had caught a squirrel, and Wildshadow had caught a fish from the river, and a mouse. "Here," Runningfire pushed the prey to Moonfeather, "I don't think Scorchpaw can eat this much."

"Okay," Runningfire meowed, and followed Moonfeather into the camp. She turned to see Wildshadow sitting where he was. "Come on, we've got permission from an EmberClan warrior." she called over her shoulder, "nothing to worry about." Wildshadow sighed, and followed.

Moonfeather padded right through the middle of the camp placing Runningfire's freashkill "bring the mouse Scorchpaw might be able to eat that" Moonfeather summerised.
