Songheart laughed, nodding. "Yes, I am glad that StarClan has given us a clear night with no cliuds. We can see all of the stars." The twinkling stars of Silverpelt seemed to shine brighter, and her green eyes met Swittail's. An unsaid message seemed to course through them and she felt her heart flutter. Try as she might, Songheart couldn't push down that warm, butterfly feeling.

Swifttail twitched his wiskeres and looked away, embarrased but not sure why. He wondered if there was something that he should say, but nothing seemed appropiate. Anyways, he didn't mind the scilence. He looked over to see what Songheart was doing, hoping that she wasn't annoyed or impatient.

"Do you want to go hunting with me?" The deputy asked suddenly, her normal persona returning to her. She turned her green gaze to Swifttail, refusing to avoid eye contact. She felt like she was winning the battle against her feelings.

"Uh, um... Sure," stammered Swifttail, a little surprised by the sudden question. "Where do you want to go?" He asked, unable to think at the moment for some reason.

Songheart gazed at the pale moon in the sky, and thought for a moment. "Here should be fine," She said quietly. She gestured in the brush to the left of the stream, where a tiny rustling noise could be heard.
((They might have to fall in love over time.))

ooc- Ok. They could be best friends or something right now. Or mabye they both already love each other but are unsure of how the other feels and they don't want to get into anything deeper because that might ruin their friendship. I don't know. Which one do you want to do?
Swifttail nodded, still unable to think very clearly. He turned a little bit, listening for the scufeling noises that small animals made on the rocks. Hearing some, and wanting something to do, Swifttail padded slowly forward untill he could pounce and kill the prey.

((Er... Sorry!!! |3))
Songheart listened closely. Swiftail stalked prey, but she scented something in the other direction. She leaned down into the hunter's crouch, then sprang, sinking her claws into a mouse until they met with her paw. It was dead without a noise. She lifted it with satisfaction, scratching a hole in the earth and burying it before turning to Swifttail, watching his progress.

Swifttail followed the prey scent behind a tree. When he was close enough he lept forward, biting down hard on the small rabit that he found. He trotted back aroung the tree after hiding it under the bushes. He saw Songheart watching him and looked away nervously, tasting the air for prey-scent. H edid smell something, but it was faint, probably from the morning. Realizing that there was no prey, and nothing to distract him, Swifttail trotted up the path in search of another area that did have prey.

Songheart followed him up the dried riverbed. She scented something ahead, and moved closer to see, her ginger pelt brushing against Swifttail's. She backed up awkwardly for a minute, then shrugged it off, and searched through the undergrowth for the creature she had found. Carefully poising herself strategically, she awaited the mouse, drawn by the scent of an acorn, to allow its guard down. She sprang, catching it off-guard and killing it instantly. Burying it again, she repeated what she had done before, watching what Swifttail did.

Swifttail was startled when Songheart came so close to him. After a pause he decided to ignore it, continuing along the path while Songheart chased a scent. A couple of steps later he scented a vole. He instictivly went into his hunters crouch and padded silently over to the prey. In a flash he leaped out from hiding, catching the vole as it made to run away. He dug a shallow hole to keep it in before turning to see what Songheart was doing. He found her watching him instead. Once again he looked nervously away. He forced himself to speak instead of continuing on again. "Erm, mabye we should, uh... head back now?" he said qustioningly, "It's almost moonhigh." he added as an afterthought.

Songheard nodded, her vivid green eyes refecting the lunar light once again. As she retraced her steps, she dug up the prey that she had hunted, pausing to await Swifttail.
