The wind blew gently across the reeds on the Western Riverbank. Windpaw padded along the shore, watching the water flow along. Little minnows circled in schools in the water, but whenever Windpaw dipped a paw in to catch them, she was never quite fast enough. She sighed exasperatedly. She wanted an adventure, or for something interesting to happen. This silent apprehension was not appreciated by the young apprentice. Windpaw sat, curling her tan-brown-white tail around herself, waiting.

Shadowclaw spotted a young apprentice nearby. "Hello," he rasped. Shadowclaw realized it was Windpaw, and she was hunting. He instantly quieted and waited to see what the apprentice would do.

A robin fluttered down and landed next to the river, where the earth was soft and worms poked their heads out of the ground. It hopped quickly, closer to Windpaw. She was hidden in the reeds, her electric-blue eyes focused sharply on the robin. Its feet made little niches in thr ground as it passed very close to her face, and it turned suddenly, beady black eyes on her. The tan-brown-white apprentice jumped out, striking down and slashing its wing. It hit thr ground, but still attempted to flee. She waggled her rump, and jpounced, snapping its neck and grinning proudly. Turnin, she noticed Shadowclaw for the first time. "Oh, hi Shadowclaw," She meowed.

Mousepaw staggered down to the river bank, and then heard some voices nearby. He had a little drink and then padded towards the voices. The blind Medicine cat apprentice scented Shadowclaw and Windpaw, "greetings" he meowed warmly, "I trust that you are well, Shadowclaw?" the apprentive inquired.

Windpaw spotted the medicine cat apprentice walking down the stream. She grinned, knowing that he'd be right there in a moment. "Hi Mousepaw," She meowed openly, glad for even more company.

"Hey, Windpaw!" Mousepaw meowed, "How are things?" he asked, not wanting the meeting to be dull. His thoughts were still on what he was going to do when he was appointed medicine cat, the ambition was welcome, he thought.

Swallowsong was out fishing by the river; she had already caught two fish and the tabby she-cat was starting to head back to camp. Windpaw could do with some training. Then her sharp ears picked up the sound of cats. The ShoreClan warrior headed towards the sounds with the two fish clamped in her jaws. It was her apprentice, Mousepaw and Shadowclaw. "Windpaw!" she called out, bounding towards her.

((Please tell me if my font is annoying/blinding/hard to see. )) Windpaw nodded enthusiastically. "Things are going well, and for you?" She scented another cat nearby and identified it as Swallowsong, her mentor. Uh oh! She hadn't had permission to leave the camp... "H-hi, Swallowsong," She meowed sheepishly to the warrior.

ooc - The blue is a little bright, I usually run my mouse over it so it's easier to see xP The font is fine, just the colour, but it's still okii if you like it ;D
Swallowsong dropped her two silver fish and smiled at her new apprentice. "Up for some training?" She nodded to Ripplestream's apprentice and turned back to Windpaw, "We'll go for some training today, but tomorrow you'll be staying in camp doing apprentice chores," her voice was firm. "You should've asked permission to leave camp since you are a new apprentice and you haven't had much battle training yet. What if a fox or a badger had come?" she twitched her ears irritably, but remembered when she had been an apprentice.

Swallowsong nodded in greeting as Talonpaw came running. "Sorry, Talonpaw," she meowed apologetically, "I didn't see him at camp this morning. Perhaps he was on patrol..maybe he's back at camp now," the tabby she-cat shook her head to indicate she had no idea where the Clan deputy was. Her gaze hardened as she glanced back at her own apprentice, who hadn't said anything.
ooc - I know Heathii, you're going away for a week so we'll wait... ;D

"Hey, everybody," Dawntear padded casually out of the bushes to join her clan mates, "Quite a gathering here."

"Hi Dawntear." meowed Talonpaw. "I was just wondering... have you seen Twilightsong? I sorta need to start training." Talonpaw looked at Swallowsong. "I guess he's back at camp." he muttered, beginning to walk away.

ooc - Wildy, remember the IC posting minimum
Swallowsong glanced at Dawntear, the newest warrior in the Clan. "Hey Dawntear," she meowed in a friendly way. She turned to Talonpaw, who was walking away in disappointment. "Wait, Talonpaw!" she called out after the dejected looking young apprentice, "I can take you for some battle training with Windpaw, if you'd like," her tail flicked as she waited for his reply.

Pinestorm appeared ouy of the bushes, and padded up to Swallowsong. "Battle training?" he mewed curiously. "Sounds fun; can I join in as well?" He turned to Talonpaw. "Is this your apprentice?" he mewed, and felt a slight twinge of awkwardness. He had started to feel like an outsider, and felt completely out of the loop. Even though he had been born in ShoreClan, so much had changed!
