Shiningkit crept out of the nursery in the dead at night. She looked around at the empty clearing and breathed in the newleaf fresh air. The moonlight fell on her pure white fur, making it shine. Shiningkit's light crystal blue eyes sparkled with mischief as she padded silently toward the camp entrance.

Her eyes widened in wonder as the new forest smells flooded her senses. Shiningkit had never been out of the camp before, but she padded confidently out of the thorn tunnel that lead to the EmberClan clearing. ((I have no clue if any of the Clans have a set territory, so I'm just using ThunderClan's new territory.)) An owl hooted in the distance, but Shiningkit felt no fear.

Shardkit was busy making dirt, when she saw some thorns rustle. Finishing her business, she padded silently towards the noise. There was Shiningkit, padding confidently out of camp, as if she had done it many times before. Overcome with curiosity, she crept forward, wondering what her littermate was doing.
Suddenly, a owl hooted, but it was in the distance. Shardkit jumped with fright, and a squeak escaped from her lips. Her tail flew to her mouth. Oh no! She thought worriedly. She will certainly have heard that! Either that or seeing me jump 10 fox lengths into the air! She held her breath, not daring to move a muscle.

ooc: It was up for a week before anyone posted, and I got bored.
ic: Shiningkit paused when she heard a squeak. She sniffed the air, and Shardkit's scent hit her roof glands. She looked for her littlermate, but couldn't find her. So instead, she flicked her tail, silently asking if Shardkit wanted to go with her. Without waiting to see if Shardkit followed her or not, she slipped out of camp and into the forest beyond.

Stonestream, the former medicine cat and elder of Emberclan, watched silently as the oung she-kti padded out of camp. Shaking his head, he decided to follow her. At least he could let her have a little adventure. he remembered when he was a kit, how curious he was. He would make sure she did not get hurt. Rising to his paws, he padded silently across the clearing, to the entrance of the camp.

Shiningkit paused outside of the camp and tasted the air. Fresh forest scents, unknown to her, flooded her senses. The sounds of the trumpeting crickets, the feel of the forming dew under her pads, and the sight of her warrior ancestors sparkling in the sky. Shiningkit closed her eyes and lost herself for a few moments. But her eyes were still pricked for the slightest sound of anyone, Shardkit or anyone else, following her. She heard nothing, and so she explored further into the forest.

Stonestream paddes silently after the kit, watching her explore the emberclan territory. he heard an owl hoot and scenned the night sky for the deadly bird. Maybe he should bring the young kit back before anything happened to her. he wouldnt want to be held responsible ifan owl or fox caught her. Padding faster he soon caught up with shiningkit. "it's a little late to be out of camp" he meowed, hopeing he didnt startle her.

Shiningkit spun around, her fur beginning to bristle and she pulled her lips back in a snarl. But her fur lay flat when she saw the old cat in front of her. "Oh, it's you, Stonestream." She murmured. She shook her head and looked up at the sky. "Yes, I know it's late. But...I just had to come see the forest. It was calling to me." Shiningkit looked at the elder in alarm. "You aren't going to bring me back and report to Whitestar ((Or whoever the leader is)) , are you??"

Stonestream purred in amusemenet. the kit seemed so terrified of their leader(( I think it is Blazestar actaully)) "No" he meowed "but next time make sure you bring a warrior with you if you want to go ou tof camp. the forest is dangerouse, ecspecially at night." Stonestream flicked his ears as the owl hooted again in the distance. The old tom padded over and sat beside Shiningkit. "I know what it is like to be called. When I was a kit, Starclan called me to be a medicine cat. But now I am old. I cant hear or see as well." Stonestream chuckled. "I probably wouldnt be able to tell a poppy sead from a death berry!"

Shiningkit looked up at Silverpelt, her eyes growing almost wistful. "To be able to share tongues with StarClan and help your Clanmates..." She shook her head and gazed back out into the forest. "But I don't think that's what StarClan are calling me for. Maybe, maybe if I just go a little farther, I can find out why I feel so pulled into the forest." She glanced at the elder. "Will you come with me, just in case I do get into trouble?"

Stonestream purred in amusement, "Maybe just a little farther. But we need to return to the camp beofre dawn. We dont want your mother to miss you." Stonestream looked off intot he trees. "Wich way would you like to go?'

Shiningkit closed her eyes and breathed deep. A wind whipped into the clearing, tugging at Shiningkit's fur. Voices seemed to whisper into her ear. 'Go this way.' 'Please, come.' 'Welcome.' Shiningkit opened her eyes and turned away from the wind. "This way. I think it's this way." She bounded away into the forest beyond, not even looking to see if the old cat was following her. She was too spurred on by the voices in her ear and head.

Stonestream watched as the kit bounced away. He padded slowly after her. it had been a long time since he had been out of the camp after Sun down. Keeping the kit within his sight, he followed her, keeping an eye out for owls and other night hunters

The voices were getting louder. 'Almost there.' 'hurry!' 'quicker!' Shiningkit urged her paws onward, even as she staggered over a root. 'StarClan, please, don't make Stonestream take me back now!'

Shardkit watched as Stonestream appeared on the scene. The former medicine cat of Emberclan spoke to Shiningkit, but Shardkit was too far away to hear what was being said. As the two started to leave, she heard warriors getting closer. Not wanting to be caught out alone, she rushed up to join her fellow littermate.
"Wa-wait up!" The small strangely colored kit squeaked as she ran towards the group of two.
