(uh short. lol)
Blossompaw purred with evil delight as mudballs quickly splatted several adults. Devilkit dashed over and asked what they were going to do, but before she could answer him, more mudballs went flying. Blossompaw hunkered down to watch and was pleased to see Windpaw had recruited Morningkit to help. Grinning, Blossompaw keenly watched the games and plotted out a few ideas.
With all the yelling and hoo-rahing, Blossom was worried Midnight might wake up or that stick in the mud Twilightsong- oh wait, TwilightSTAR might arrive. She had to roll her eyes at him having been made leader until the kits were 6 moons. It wasn't that she hated Twilightsong, it was more like she went out of her way to try to tackle, shove, soak, trip or otherwise somehow catch him offguard. So far the score was roughly Twilightstar - 15, Blossompaw - 2. Blossompaw wasn't happy about that either.
She snapped out of her thoughts of revenge as Hazeltear arrived - another killjoy warrior in Blossom's books - and apparently tried to get Pinestorm to act his age. Blossompaw nearly fell over and died laughing when Pinestorm shoved a pawful of mud in her face! Chaos ensued and for a few minutes, it appeared all the adults were distracted. Blossompaw looked around and realized now was the perfect opportunity to really cause some mischief!
She motioned for Devilkit to follow her as she raced over to Windpaw and slapped her paw over Windpaw to shush her and her tail over Morningkit to quiet her. "Guys! I have the BEST idea EVER!" She whispered excitedly. "With the adults distracted we should roll in the mud so we're disguished and they can't smell us and then..." She said, pausing dramatically and looking around, "we should sneak out of camp!!!"
Grinning impishly, she looked at the three of them. "You wanna?" She asked, practically shivering with excitement at sneaking off. "Or or hey! I know, we could PRETEND to sneak off and when they all come up looking for us, we can throw mudballs on ALL of them from the top of the tunnel entrance to camp!" She said with an excited giggle while mentally picturing the look on Twilightstar's face when she nailed him and then danced around him chanting "I got you I got you I got you nya nya nya nya nyaaaaaa!" Ooooh sweet victory....

By now, Hazeltear had washed the muck out of her eyes - those piercing, dagger-sharp eyes that could kill. Actually, right now they actually wanted to kill; specifically her brother Pinestorm. Yet another mudball nailing her squarely in the head didn't lift her spirits at all; instead, she swung around, but, unable to find the culprit, went back to hunting her brother down. He is so dead, she thought furiously, as she imagined all of the various ways she could torture him. Slowly and violently. Hazeltear stalked over to Blossompaw, the only cat she could see from where she was standing. The rest were probably hiding - and with good reason. "Where's Pinestorm?" she demanded, with all the force of a badger. She didn't even bother to will her bristling for to flatten; the more menacing she looked, the better. She would savour every drop of her brother's fear like the sadist she truly was, and unsheathed her hooked claws. Then she sheathed them again, before they got stuck in the blobs of mud that were splattered across the ground. Pinestorm will die., she thought. ((Ooh, dark. Hazeltear's showing off her scary side...))
Pinestorm figured he had less than five minutes to live before Hazeltear skinned him alive, and only if he was lucky. He had never seen her so angry, and was not keen on finding out what she would do to him if he was caught. Relief flooded him as he caught sight of his mate - in fact, he nearly fainted right then and there. "Save me," he whispered, his eyes wide with alarm. "I'm gonna die. Why couldn't we have had kits before I died? I would've liked little devils like Morningkit and Devilkit..." Okay, he actually didn't. Not at this very moment, at least, since their antics were the reason he was in so much trouble. He madly attempted to flatten himself into a ball behind a very small bush, the only cover that he could see. It could fit two kits or even an apprentice behind it, but definitely not a warrior as large as himself. Fortunately, his muddy pelt allowed him to blend in with his surroundings, as did his chocolate pelt.

Spyglasses black paws beat the ground mercilessly as she thundered toward camp. Her large sensitive ears could easily hear cats yowling out threats and screeching. She was sure the camp was being attacked by some horrible menace. She had actually dropped her large catch of the day and left it for the ants to just get here faster.
Spyglass lunched herself threw the camp entrance and froze. Cats were everywhere. To her amazement there was a battle going on. But instead of trained warriors against warriors there were warriors pitted against apprentices and kits, and the warriors looked to be losing! She barely had time to duck as some mud balls flew over her back and splattered into the ground.
Her startled face fell away as a wide smile slipped across her maw. This kind of stuff never happened in the clans. Life here could be so predictable, with hunting and patrols taking up most of cats’ days and leaving them moody and tiered. Way to irritable to hang around with.
She tried to pad straight into camp when Pinestorm and Swallowsong Raced past her in a frenzy. Her attention flicked to Hazltear, the testy warrior had her face pressed close to Blossompaws demanding the location of her brother. “Whoa, no wonder he and swallowsong where in such a rush to get out of here I wouldn’t want to deal with Hazltear right now either.”
The tortoiseshell warrior flung around, her eyes were angry enough to scar an apprentice back to the nursery, but all there anger wasn’t enough to stop Spyglass from noticing what covered her face. Mud. A tortured hiccup/cough escaped her maw as she tried to not laugh. But one more glance at Hazltears face and her will collapsed as she burst out laughing so hard she fell into the mud globs, shaking with hysteria. This was the kind of stuff she just lived for.

(Bringing in my beloved blind kitteh to see if he could calm down this maniacal Hazeltear...no death in Shoreclan today, my dears. )
The cream/silver tom was crouched at the very front of the Warrior's Den, patiently listening to the various excited yowls and hisses from his fellow Clanmates, along the the soft thunking sounds of mudballs hitting their targets. His ears pricked up when he heard his infuriated mate Hazeltear start interrogating Blossompaw. After that, Silversun stood up patiently and began to head towards her voice.
He stepped daintily over the splattered mud, his especially keen ears listening around to make sure no one would attempt to attack him. He had no interest in joining the fun at the moment, all he wanted to do was to prevent a murder to be caused in the clan for the moment. Silversun did not wish to irritate the already irritated Midnightstar, who was cranky and short of temper from lack of sleep.
His sensitive sense of smell of mostly clogged by the earthy smell of mud and dirt, but he managed to use the soft, warm breeze to sort out the various scents and detect Hazeltear's familiar scent. The large, slender tom followed her scent to her. "Hazeltear, calm down." He meowed out softly, attempting bringing her attention to him. "There's no need for a murder to occur at this moment. Do you want to bring Midnightstar or Twilightsong out here?" He asked her calmly, ducking his head as the slight whistling sound of a mudball being thrown through the air was heard coming in his direction.
"Leave them for their fun, and frighten your brother later." Silversun continued, knowing full well where Pinestorm was hiding, according to where his scent was coming from. [/size] "Where's the fun in just pretending to leave?" Devilkit asked scornfully. "Let's just smother our scent and bolt. That'd be way more fun!" He urged out, his dark eyes alight with mischief and urgency. "Imagine mom's face when she finds me, though..." Instead of his expression being frightened, like any sane kitty would be, it was mischievious. He obviously wanted to irritate his mother further. Oh the joys. (he had to keep her on her toes, after all) And then Hazeltear bolted over and started interrogating his partner in crime.
"Hey, leave her alone!" he meowed out indignantly, not wanting their hiding spot to be discovered, let alone by this irritated she-cat before him. The young cat didn't care if Hazeltear was older and higher in rank than him, his mother was in the leader of the entire clan (well, his dad was at the moment at any rate...). That had to count for SOMETHING, right? "We don't know where Pinestorm went! You go find him! Or have some fun, like everyone else!" He continued stubbornly, wanting her away from then so they could continue plotting.
After that, he promptly went back to ignoring the older she-cat's very presence. "Hey, let's head over to that old Twoleg path." he offered quietly so Hazeltear wouldn't hopefully hear, knowing that would panic everyone even more. Devilkit's parents had warned him and sisters time and time again not to go over there. It'd surely freak them out if he had wandered over there. Especially if one (or both) of his sisters went with them! Oh, the horror...
(Also, Kiri, I spoke with Hawk about the name thing, and she told me Middy and Twi would keep their original names. Though I suppose we could ask if we could switch their names, if you wanted to...)[/blockquote]

OOC: Oh well. Maybe next time? ;D Sorry for the short post, but Pine's too scared to post right now. Hazeltear's neck fur finally flattened as she saw her mate approach. She flicked her ears dismissively at Devilkit and simply tuned him out; she had never liked kits very much, and a warrior like her had no time to listen to kits. Or play with them, she thought in disgust, Unlike a certain little brother who will remain unnamed. "Fine," she mewed in a slightly softer tone. "But only you don't interrupt while I kill him later. Okay?" The tortoiseshell she-cat flicked her mate lightly with her tail as she swept away, pausing only to call, "Pinestorm, if you can hear me, you should know that you should keep hiding for another moon until I forget that I'm mad at you." With that, she padded out of the camp, and headed for the river so that she could wash herself clean. If Pinestorm's still muddy by moonhigh, I'll drag him to the river, she thought somewhat happily. A bit too happily, as Pinestorm would say.

Swallowsong had never seen her mate so genuinely frightened. She nuzzled him comfortingly on the cheek with her nose and meowed quietly, "Calm down and shut up before she finds you!" she pointed to the riverbank with her tail. "Go hide under one of those bushes," she whispered, "Um...I'll try to tell her I didn't see you or catch up with you if she asks," her amber eyes flickered uncertainly. She had never liked Hazeltear and chances were, the tortoiseshell warrior wouldn't listen to her anyhow, but she kinda had to try for Pinestorm's sake.

Windpaw watched Blossompaw approach, and ducked just a second too late to avoid Blossompaw's swat. She poked the other apprentice, but simply grinned playfully as she listened to her idea. "Sneaking out of camp is easy enough," she boasted. "I do it all the time. And of course I want to."
Watching Hazeltear antagonize Pinestorm, she continued to watch the fight until she spotted Spyglass. "Uh oh," Windpaw murmured, but when the warrior burst out laughing, she watched Hazeltear next. When Silversun came over to her and began to calm her down, the brown and white apprentice murmured, "I agree with Devilkit." Casting a rude glare in Hazeltear's direction, she waited for the warrior to leave before continuing. Geez, we coulda gotten in trouble... whatever.
"And now's our chance." Flicking her tail towards the mudpile just behind her, she glanced at Morningkit, seeing if the kit was going to come. She wouldn't exactly approve of the gray-blue kit tattling, though she didn't think Morningkit was really the type to do that. Turning towards the mud, she looked at the other three with a mischievous grin before jumping headlong into the brown liquid. Swimming around in it until her scent and pelt were disguised, she got out dripping, blinking evilly at the others.
Watching the events, Morningkit couldn't suppress a look of admiration at Blossompaw and Windpaw. They were so smart, always thinking of fun things to do. Noticing Windpaw's deep blue eyes resting on her, she tried to square up her shoulders importantly. "Welp, we'd better hurry up, before they come back." Watching Windpaw jump in, she was about to do so herself before she realized that it probably wasn't as easy as it looked.
It was most likely cold and she might sink right in to the water, but she wasn't really one to whine about it. Imagining that it was a huge lake full of mud and that there were rainbows all across the sky in front of it, she splashed right in, making a bit of noise before realizing that she ought to hush. Following Windpaw's lead, she slathered herself in brown mud and then got out. Standing silently, she almost shook herself off before remembering that that would kinda defeat the purpose. Grinning with the excitement of it all, she waited for the next step.

(sorry, my brain is fried from exams all week, but I don't wanna hold this up any more ^^ )
Blossompaw ignored Hazeltear and thankfully the cranky pants warrior was pulled away by another adult, leaving them to their plans. Grinning, Blossompaw's eyes sparkled at the idea of sneaking away to the old twoleg path. "Great idea!" Having once been a kittypet, Blossompaw had no fear of humans really. She thought they were nice, though some were kinda stupid at times.
Quickly rolling in the mud, Blossompaw's silky white fur and pink markings were soon earth colored. Stepping out of the mud, she took a quick glance around to make sure no one was watching them before quickly darting through the cover of undergrowth to the camp entrance. Suppressing a giggle, she couldn't wait to get outside camp and have some real fun! Maybe she and Windpaw could teach Devilkit and Morningkit how to hunt or something too, just so if the adults caught them, they could claim they'd only taken them out for a hunting lesson. Ha. But it was an idea. Grinning, Blossompaw waved her tail for the others to hurry. The sooner they got there, the sooner they could have fun!
(who's going to start the new thread? ^^ )

(Ah, I will. I'll post as Devil then go start it. That cool?)
Devilkit dove eagerly into the mud, giving no thought to his long fur getting muddy or the berating he and his siblings were sure to get. Instead he rolled around eagerly, quickly smothering his ebony black fur a muddy brown. When he popped up with the squishy mud sliding on his chubby frame, he was hardly recognizable. The only things that looked familiar were his dark blue eyes and the mischievious smile present. Tilting an ear at Morningkit and Windpaw, he plunged ahead, his slippery paws causing him to skid abit on the now muddy grass before righting himself. He didn't bother to look back, knowing the two would follow them. His eyes were focused on Blossompaw solely. She knew her way around here better than he did.
(Sorry it's short.)

Watching Blossompaw and then Devilkit roll in the mud in turn, Windpaw twitched her whiskers in amusement. Holding perfectly still so the mud wouldn't roll back off her pelt, she stood for a few seconds to let it dry. Crusted brown laced the white on her fur, and she gave it a look of satisfaction before turning to watch Devilkit leave. Looking to Morningkit, she gave the kit a nod and watched to make sure the coast was clear. Standing aloof for a few more seconds, she made absolutely sure the coast was clear before turning and trotting off after the other three.
Windpaw's nod wasn't completely necessary as Morningkit trailed after her brother gleefully. Her little tail was waving while she scrambled along the ground, a gleeful grin on her face. This was so exciting!

Pinestorm visibly relaxed as his sister left, and his stiffened and bristling fur began to flatten. Thank StarClan for Silversun, he thought, and turned towards his mate. "It's all right," he mewed, almost calmly. But not quite. He turned to Swallowsong and sighed in relief. "It's all right," he mewed. "She'll probably want to kill me less when she comes back. If I'm lucky, she'll only maim me." Actually, it'd be better if she didn't harm him at all, but he thought that was just being too optimistic. Eager to change the subject, he meowed, "Where are the kits? They were here just a moment ago..."
